Street Fighter X Tekken footage from Eurogamer Expo 2011

BasedTier has uploaded quite a few videos of Street Fighter X Tekken being played at the Eurogamer Expo. While there isn't anything too spectacular to see, it does show off some interesting move properties that you may have missed before. The characters played include Cammy, Zangief, Steve, Hwoarang, Chun-Li, Ibuki and more.

Why does every video I see for this game, people are playing it like its SFIV. Its a rush down game, something in the nature of MVC mixed with Tekken.

Why are you so surprised that a game built on the SF4 engine is being played like it's SF4 with a handful of Tekken mechanics?

I hope you cant pick 2 Zangiefs cause 1 is plenty, i dont even think he needs a partner ,i believe a good Zangief player can kill a whole team with him alone

Exactly.

I'm glad I played Darkstalkers, because I believe that's how this game should be played. Proper mix of zoning, rushdown and magic series goodness. I'm gonna feel right at home once this game drops.

Finally got to play SF x Tekken at Fight Club Los Angeles and have to agree, this is one of the best fighting games I've ever played. Keep up the good work Capcom.

...in my opinion game needs more female characters than it's been announced and its obvious it'll get more i just want at least 12 female characters total...i hope that not announced female characters will be R.Mika, Rose for SF side and Alisa, Asuka, Zafina for Tekken side...

I've been using Rose since the Alpha days, but I can't really see her in this game...then again, they made Dhalsim, so I guess anything is possible.

Who would be Rose's partner? By some sick, twisted plot it *could* be Bison...but that's just sick beyond sick.

#18 i supposed it was adressed rather to me...and yes gender matters to me, because i think its kind of unfair to put in ever game like 6 or 7 female fighters total, i'm man myself, but god knows how i'm tired of all these sausage fests...in a game with such a huge amount of characters , there could be something more than just 7 female characters :|...

This is my first chance to get to see the airship/space?/underwater? stage in motion, very nice. Tied with the skatepark for my fave so far.

.... REALLY hope they nerf that gief SPD damage a little... I would hate to see what that does in Pandora mode -_-

Damn Gief's SDP does mad damage. Hopefully they tone it down at least a little bit before they release the actual game.

why? spd was always powerful like that and it should be. Zangief needs to do work to get in and when he gets there he should be a big threat, the dmg on the spd does exactly that.

Wow, based on this build, Pandora only lasts what around 5 seconds? I don't know if the health of the team has anything to do with it, but if it doesn't you better be godlike for those 5 seconds! Otherwise playing it isn't worth it. (Although the health of his opponent was fairly high) (2nd video)

Also, did anyone else notice Mecha Zangief in the background of the stage in the 3rd video from 0:50 to 1:00?

the truth is the truth, comments like "this game is a sauage fest" are worst. Its not the club scene its a fighting game, gender shouldnt be important. Is it my fault that alot of good character happen to be male? nope.
