#12 Then dont get it. I played the hell out of vanilla and def have gotten my moneys worth. "Beta" or not, Im glad it was released and I havent had to wait 9 months for Umvc3. And Im sure as hell gonna buy UMvc3 because I am sure ill spend tons of time playing it as well. 40 bucks is not even a night drinking. If for some unholy reason I dont like the game, Ill just sell it. Why throw a hissy fit over it.

Capcom doesnt do things near perfect anymore. It takes them a few tries to give us the "Lost or Arcade, or Ultimate" Experience.

My bro just got Gears of War 3 and they already have 40 dollars worth of weapon skins you can buy as DLC!WEAPON SKINS!!!!! Lets not forget the 40 dollar season pass you can get for all the DLC that is going to come out. a combined 80 dollars for DLC for an already 60 dollar game or 80 dollars game if you bought the Limited Edition or Epic Edition for 150 . Capcom screwing people? Fool you have no idea how bad the entire gaming industry takes advantage of DLC its all straight margin since they don't have to print a disc and ship it. Capcom I'm surprised didn't do this as DLC they probably would have made more money that way. Angry Joe is also a fighting game casual who made his video with almost no full details on the game there are still unannounced modes for the game that he didn't cover. He is a complete twit who is barely on a professional level of journalism . I don't think I have ever seen him review a PS3 game. This is the way Capcom does business and frankly I don't care about it because I have a job and can afford to buy 10 copies of the blasted game if I wanted to. If I didn't have a job I would be trying to find one and not waste my time with a bloody video game.
I'd rather have a $40.00 new game with a bunch of changes and enhancements then having to had paid $5.00 for each new character (5x12), not getting any new stages, etc. etc., which would have occurred if they just sold things separately as DLC.
MvC3 is a fun game.
I would get every character being added to UMvC3 as dlc.

Yea I played fighters in the 90's and capcom has been upgrading them since they made fighting games there were like a billion SF2 games and no complained back then this isn't new it's here to stay an capcom isn't the only one doing it gears of war weapon skin packs wow I didn't know that but now I do and that sounds grimey compared to UMVC3 I know halo goes ridiculous level expansion packs games are gonna do this I for one am glad this fame is coming out sooner than later I can't wait to get my hands on this game if you can't manage to save 40 dollars up in 9 months you shouldn't be playing games anyway that's like 2 dollars a week or something seriously people are just funny
furq, I'm not sure what you're trying to get across... This does not look like a bad game, production-wise, and I'm not sure what alternative approach you would have taken. As people have pointed out before, DLC would have cost much more in the end, and no company gives this kind of stuff away for free. With what the game is and what it offers, I'm curious what approach you would have taken for making it more affordable or accessible to the largest number of people who would want everything?
I'm guessing you won't take that seriously, but I would still consider it food for thought. Improving rather than degrading. That's how progress is done :)
Anywho, was anyone else more intrigued by the announcer in the back? He said something about more rewards being given to folks who had more new characters on their teams. I think that's an incredible incentive for people to test out the new guys rather than just defaulting to their best, though I guess that makes sense.
Another thing I've been noticing with some sadness is that Firebrand looks so very weak. I love his character design and I hope I'm wrong, but I've yet to see him really run amok in any of the videos for UMvC3. He just doesn't seem to do that much damage and looks really difficult to control. Of course, it's early, but all the other new characters seem to just be heavier hitters. Hopefully Firebrand's tools will eventually overcome that!

Street Fighter 1, Deluxe edition.
Perfect balance for multiplayer, since Ryu/Ken are identical.
High Damage game, which adds importance to mindgames/tactics.
And what separates it from games like Karate Champ, was the pressure sensitive pads.
You are physically involved with the game on a level no other fighter has ever achieved.
It's sad that they ruined it with SF2:World Warriors

We all should feel lucky that fighting games have made a huge surge the last couple years instead of going forever without anything new heck the only video games I play are fighting games and RPGs and now that I have 3 kids my RPG days are looking like they are numbered so it's nice to be able to pop in a capcom/SNK fighter and run amok I have grew up on these games me and my closest friends alwYs wait patiently for the fighter I remember once upon a time nothing was coming out then they made capcom fighting jam I pre-ordered it my god was it bad and sadly I played it because I was just starved for something new and that is in my mind the worse capcom fighter I have/will ever play ugh

Also, #32, yeah that was Seth Killian narrating battles, you can even hear him narrating the battle with Clockw0rk and Dios X. And he wanted them to choose the new characters to show the audience what they're capable of, them being pros and all.
As for Firebrand, I grown to love the character and how he plays. In that exact match that I just talked about, Clockw0rk used Firebrand and he played pretty damn good. He does do weak damage, but I guess that's to compensate for how insanely long his combos can get for little effort. Kinda like Zero. I'm maining him. :p
Right now it's hard telling who I want to use firebrands combo potential looks very promising strider looks great right now I'm thinking ironfist may be the weakest link though it appears alot of his moves have alot of invincibility nemosis without assists looks like a deadman walking but with help is deadly I will probably use the whole cast everyone is looking great to me I really want to see RR and Nova

If people really want to 'waste' their money on UMvC3, then why do you even care? Why the hell do you care enough to go in a rage mode and insult people? People should decide for themselves what games they wanna or don't wanna buy, and the ragings of some random dude online isn't gonna do jack sh*t.
Furq, just stay free, mvc3 is a fun game and that is all that matters to me. if you want to play balanced game go play starcraft 2 for all i care. i dont complain about what capcom does, instead i use the tools capcom has given to players to be successful. if its in the damn game by all means use it and i expect my opponent to use it too. you dont run anything. people are gonna play what they like and the marvel scene is very much alive. each to his own.
I like all the new marvel characters they aren't crappy one bit in my mind and any true marvel fan would agree variety is what makes this game great it's not x-men vs street fighter mega mix there isn't one new character in this game I'm not excited to play and wesker and Phoenix aren't in the game to fill up the character select screen they are to play those characters have fans are they strong yea but whatever all the characters come with tools to succeed some are just easier than others
Good Thor and MODOK stuff from RoyalFlush. I'm excited to see what's been changed after hearing RoyalFlush say that Thor feels smoother.
I don't know what furq said since that post has been deleted or something but I am hyped for UMvC3 and still plan on getting it. I put a lot of hours into MvC3 even after all of my friends stopped playing and I hope I get a lot more hours out of UMvC3.
