Come on this is why other countries hate SF compared to Tekken or KoF
Capcom makes characters that look alike in appearance and do the moves in almost the same fashion.
Look at KoF.
Ryo Does a Fireball with one hand and goes full screen. Ryo does not have a hurricane kick. AND the command is different. He has 2 other moves that no other characters can copy visually
Robert Garcia does a fireball with his foot and only hits low. He has a no hurricane kick at all and he has chun-li's hyakuretsukyaku but he kicks you off afterwards. AND he wears a suit not a Gi like Ryo does. Ken, Ryu Akuma mind as well be palette swaps. IOW nothing like Ryo
Mr Karate does a fireball with one hand like ryo but guess what? It's only 1/4 screen and it's invisible AND it breaks guard on contact. His Hurricane kick motion is a running knees attack. He is the only one who has a true shoryuken move.
ARK's (akuma ryu ken) all look alike, with different speed and some minor thing to set them apart. YAWN!!
Funny how people complain about shotos looking a like....but i never hear any complaints about how all saiyans do the same attack, look the same, dress the same......eat the same, fight the same.....
its their fighting style.

Ken has the fastest fireball in the game... his EX variant beats the other two versions by a mile. Akuma's Flaming Fireball travels the same speed no matter which button pressed. Wow.

#5 Yeah Ryu and Ken are alike. Akuma and Gouken are absolutely different from them thou, and Dan and Sakura are very different too. And in third strike, the difference between Ken and Ryu was bigger too. Doesnt matter thou. Street Fighter has a lot of characters that are very unique. And if you play a lot you even see differences between Ryu and Ken, they are in the detail but thats what playing Street Fighter on a high level is about. I whish they would use less Shotos too thou cause the Street Fighter Universe has so many great characters, that deserve a spot in the rooster.

Surprised that ken's is first, and the only shotos I don't like are Evil Ryu and Oni. Akuma is supposed to be the evil version of Ryu and why is there an Eviler version of and already evil character.
Would have looked better if the lighting fix for the PC version was used before making that video.

Lord of Ultima did already do this, but I believe it was for Vanilla or Super, this was just to a proof of concept for Arcade Edition.
Capcom needs to have some balls and FINALLY change some core fundamentals of the shots and make them as unique as Gouken Dan and Sakura.
Ken needs to go broke and get nasty, Akuma needs to vanish as Ryu surpassed him. Sakura needs to graduate High School. And Dan needs to be the Final Boss after being the TRUE Shot master!
I will await the people that use ONLY ARK in SF4 and wanted K in MvC3 and use ONLY ARK in SF3online to say nothing.
Or WHINE about alienaing the people that knew them.

You're trying to sum up Akuma, Ken, and Ryu as if they all play the same, based on something as superficial as how they throw their fireballs.
If you can't look at good players playing the characters and see the difference between the three, there's no hope.

It's ALL of Ryu's specials cloned to them with different properties instead of unique versions of those moves it looks EXACTLY the same with speed and property changes.
IOW the Fireball the Hurricane kick AND the dragon punches too!
Not Just the fireball which they use 2 hands in the SAME position from beginning to end.

Look at KOF, a series unabashedly ripped off of Street Fighter? Yeah, I don't think they should abandon their own character designs to take inspiration from their clones.
@5 Sir. You can not troll well...Ryo blast goes like...abit past his face....King shoots power out of her legs,And No Robert does not shoot his power of his legs. He shoots his blast from out of his hand and goes far than Ryo's. The thing about Robert, Ryo, and Takama is they tried to be another Gokuen, Ryu and Ken. So really, Your troll was a epic fail.
