The Nagoya Street Battle 30 tournament has just ended (results) and Team EG has written up a complete recap of what went down. This is a great piece if you're interested in how certain teams outside of top 8 performed. Here's a grab from the article.
Against Team Mad Catz — Choco, Fubarduck and Kim definitely gave it their all. However, no other player in the tournament had as much momentum as MCZ.Mago had coming into Top 8. Throughout the earlier stages of the tournament, Mago redeemed his loss at SBO by completely decimating his opponents. In fact, all the way to Top 8, Mago only required the aid of Daigo and Tokido once. Against Fubarduck, Mago applied his trademark Fei Long pressure, as Fubarduck’s Yun just could not muster a defense. Then, although Choco and Kim mustered a round off him, Mago powered his way to eliminate the team.
Throughout the tournament, Team Mad Catz proved that they were the team to beat, as they powered their way to yet another NSB title, winning 15 out of 18 games — most of which were played by Mago. In fact, out of their 18 games, Tokido only played three times, as Daigo was only summoned once.
