What we noticed:
- Dormammu can special cancel Dark Matter with any special move
- Air liberation leads to him teleporting to the ground
- Flame carpet is still nerfed

Idiots couldve found so much more. Whatever. That OTG shield and his double jump are going to allow Cap to do some real damage!
The air Demon Flip was also proven. Doom's air-juggle ground bounce was also proven, as well as Vergil's Zanpaktosan not being an air-only special which makes it a lot better in my eyes.
I don't use Flame Carpet either, so whateva, but that Dark Matter cancel, ooooh mama!

@10 how is flame carpet a significant difference i say the big downer is if you get hit it goes away other than that the nerf is not that bad imo. I too use flame carpet as a zone to keep em out not as a major combo otg extender. Thats wat WESKER'S FOR! LOL

flame carpet used to be a defensive wall. even if your opponent got close to you. it afforded you a bit time to counter attack when they get caught in the trap. or if they hit you, technically when they land it's a trade [wolverine dive kicks] albeit a delayed one that puts you at advantage. now that it hits 5 times at once, it's down so ugh. cancelling from or really into it better would be great, but he seems like a much more effective zoner with these changes so far.
i just dont get why they give some of these characters so little health akuma got hit with some normals and hes almost dead lol. i dont care about akuma but damn lol hes not even worth using now in my eyes. either they gave him longer normals or something godly cuz he wasnt that good just had a godly hurricane and super hadouken
damn dorm was on my main team ima still use him tho but most top players i beat just jumped over my flame carpet still gonna use him tho put way to much time in him just to drop this beast of a fight and cap oh man i was using him b4 he got the otg cap gonna be more beast now :3

flame carpet + cap shield slash assist- will work
FC + hypergrav- will work
FC + grapple hook- will work
FC + any assist in the corner will still work
Still don't understand why they nerfed Akuma so much, he wasn't exactly god-tier or anything. They should of just nerfed his tatsu assist, I don't the point of nerfing is already abysmal stamina. =[
I want to still play him, and I'm gonna try.
Wait, Akuma DID get a health nerf? What was it before? And how could it get any worse?!
The only new things shown here were...
Demon Flip in the air (By accident, due to the other guy not knowing what he was doing.)
Doom's hard knock down on his front throw. (Again, by accident.)
And something #6 mentioned about Vergil.
Akuma's health, I'd say is TBC, because he was already in the low health bracket and over-all a lot of characters seem to die faster now, so nothing confirmed, really.
If you looked at the TGS gameplay that was posted the other day, you see pretty much all of this stuff.
As for Dorm's carpet, the main uses for me was mix-ups, keeping Haggar/Hulk away and comboing in the corner.. I guess the latter is still possible, but it may need a back triangle dash when you land + the right assist, e.g Doom/Mag beams, Ryu's tatsu, etc.
I like the fact that he can charge his power in the air AND teleport to the ground to use them. That's a really nice buff.
Which is exactly why they should of just nerfed his tatsu assist. And key word ONE OF the best anchors in the game.
I agree that his assist was a little too good, but other than that he wasnt some godlike character. No viable teleport (i'm aware he has one but its not that great) and limited range were what balanced him out. He was good but they nerf hammered him too hard.
I don't mean to bitch but it just kinda sucks because I play him in pretty much every versus game.
You can do meteor smash in the air with Skrull SWEET
Dormammu is fine as he is. Honestly, the only effect this has is for people who do not use a lot of combos with Dormammu and rely on him mainly as a spamming spacing character with Flame carpet as a sort of insurance. Getting more aggressive,t his is fine and not big of a nerf at all.
wtf i totally missed it at tgs... niitsuma said it would be on sony's booth so i checked several times but nothing, just the vita version.... 360 huh.... didnt even check there :(

This was not at TGS. He was at Games '11 which is a yearly gaming exhibition held in Dubai, U.A.E. Fortunately they had UMvC3 TGS Build. He just said that the build of the game was the TGS build. He never specified he was at TGS. And yeah... I missed it completely as well. :(
