Nagoya Street Battle 30 took place last night and finished up early Friday morning. It was a 3v3 Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition tournament featuring some notable players from Japan, including MCZ|Daigo, MCZ|Tokido, MCZ|Mago, EG|Momochi, Eita and Sako.
@1 I might be wrong, but the most logical thing for me, is that 3xp + start when beginning the game (I understand this as "as you are entering a match") will give you the opportunity to map buttons, so that you dont have to go to characer select screen after button check
I just saw something. A "choose mode" screen with Ryu and Ken facing eachother. It wasn't the character select screen.
The "choose mode" screen had 2 options. When the top option was picked, the announcer said "arcade mode." I don't really know much about arcade machines, but what else is possible with arcade machines? Would the second option be a vs mode or a training mode?
according to Fubarduck http://twitter.com/#!/fubarduck"Also, over 200 people (!) registered for #NSB so it will probably be single elim instead of double as was originally planned!"
Damn, it's gonna be a log time, they better do it in single elimination. Double-elimination with all these players would take more than a day.
@ #8
For a good amount of time, the second stream had a guy playing Vega. And once on the first stream too. I was happy for that too, but the Vega didn't do the new Cosmic Heel > Bloody High Claw. Or see if anti-air LK Scarlet Terror > Bloody High Claw works.
@ #10
Oh, I see. Thanks. I thought perhaps this was the "hold all punch buttons and press start" thing.
Does anyone know what the secret option is yet? The one where you hold the three punches at the title screen.
Call me up when someone who knows how to play Gen shows up. Oh wait, no one who picked Gen LAST loketest knew how to play him. All one of them sucked. (Not entirely serious, I know Amiyu is around somewhere.)
Silly blackberry won't let me see the list of teams & chars ha
*looks around* The lack of Karin is...disturbing.
Who's the Fei that just raped the red seth??? Is that ryukichikun???
The thing is Akuma was up there with the "mindless" "just press buttons and win" characters. Not as bad as wolverine and wesker but still up there.
E block has tons of killers lol. Pool of death.

"The thing is Akuma was up there with the "mindless" "just press buttons and win" characters. Not as bad as wolverine and wesker but still up there."
Yeah so easy that there is basically only one Akuma who does well in most tournament (Tokido). There are more Vipers than Akuma's when she is one of the hardest characters to master, shouldn't that say something about how "mindless" Akuma is? LOL you're a joke.
@36
WTF are you talking about. Viper really isn't hard to master at all. When I talk about mastering, I'm talking about getting good in playing her in a manner tha let's you conjure up the victories.
Kim putting in work boy. Props to the Dudley team that took on team madcatz him and the E.Ryu player were adapting.
So Sako wants that salty runback against Wong make it happen.
Mastering a character doesn't mean being able to conjure up victories it means you know how to use the xhracter to it's full potential and know every facet of the characters moves style basically there is nothing left to learn you mastered him/her
@Jerry, Daigo's team won last year(Sep 23rd, 2010) and they eliminated J.WONG's team in super. Here is the archive http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/9762632
He got eliminated in his block by an Ibuki player I don't know which team though.
Meh that Mak player had his number I forget her ultra is weird like that.
@55 Lost to Etoro, the Ibuki player, and was eliminated. That match is horrible for Cody.
I'm glad to see ChocoBlanka's made Top 5 although her team was carried by Kim123.
Notable teams that were eliminated early on:
MDR, Haitani, Hori.Sako
Eita, EG.Momochi, Ikoma Devil
Fubarduck, 801 Strider, Kim1234
Banbaban, KOK, Juso
Bonchan, Nyanshi, Kokujin
Look out for anyone pressing those 3x punch buttons on character select please.
