What if you're Phoenix Wright?)
@MALDA
Give it a rest, I can see now if you ever made a fighting game it would suck because all that would be in it is who you wanted & nobody else. Please throw something a Niitsuma I wanna see the Youtube vid of you being drug outside in cuffs & being shoved it a cop car.
@4 and @5: I would do the same and yell out... "What about Mega Man?"
I hope they don't kick out Mega Man fans... like what happened in LA Comic Con.
@9: Uh no... they aren't the same. They never will be the same.
@#8
Lyn oh look at you all tough with your insulting people because they don't agree with you & your hate over something. What else ya got because really the whole " licking the juice from Niitsuma scrotum " is getting Pathetic. Every time it's "oh you don't agree with me then you must be licking this guys stuff their that'll show you " when all it did is make you look like a big baby who crying over something stupid that doesn't impact the world what so ever.
@#10
@7: Even so, if it did happen in NYCC then CAPCOM reaches a new level of low.
Good, my birthday's at the 15! I wonder who will be unvieled at New York comic con, Frank west and Nova or Phoenix Wright and Rocket Racoon.
You guys are F**king Pathetic, seriously. I can understand Megaman but bashing the cast is retarted.
The Whole freakin concept is showing the diverse variety and just how big Marvel and Capcom are, Having more Street Fighters,Xmen and obvious Fighting characters isnt gonna show that.
Viewtiful Joe,Arthur,Nemesis,MODOK, Rocket Racoon, Phoenix Wright,Frank West, Amaterasu, Super Skrull,Nova, Chris,Wesker, all these and the rest are great choices because it shows just how many different things Both Capcom and Marvel has. And it makes it unique instead of having a roster filled with characters I could already play as in another fighting game
@22: I'm excited for Phoenix Wright though Frank West and Nova would be fun.
@23: If they save PW & RR for last, it would raise the anticipation greatly.
(Next reveal: FW& Nova
LAST REVEAL: Cats, PW, and RR,
unrelated, alot of people's blood pressure will go up that day, permanatly :)
PS WTF is a power blaster?)
Some seriously disturbing comments. People are wondering why Videogames are a buisness? If it wasnt for the money, i wouldnt give anything to a community that is packed with trolls and haters. Going to videogame forums really messes with your faith in humanity. Not that i had any to begin with.
I'm looking forward to seeing what comes up for both games at NYCC.
@33: Power Blaster is a Mega Buster. But still, I'm looking forward to Frank West and Nova. Frank West has covered wars while Nova is best known as the guy who sacrificed himself to save the universe.
im mainly looking forward to RR and Nova,but PW and FW im still confused exactly why people wanted them in,i like them as characters theyre ok,but wish they would stay in their own games.would have prefered Jin Saotome,Capcommando,Venom.and if u want new ones how bout,Falcon or anybody from Power Stone,Breath of Fire or Rival Schools,I KINDA...KINDA agree with Malda,but i still like Nemesis and Dr strange so im gettin this game day one.
(@41 because being judgmental is cool, watch and learn:
PHOENIX WRIGHT SUXX AND SHOULDN'T BE IN GAME NERDRAGE HURR DURR)
I'm going to NYCC for the first time this year. Does anyone who has gone to one in the past have a suggestion on how far ahead of time I should get in line to be able to get in the audience for panels like these?
Leave it up to this damn website to have people bringing up MegaMan in EVERY article remotely related to Marvel vs Capcom.
MegaMan fans (including myself): It's okay, just let it go. I learned to accept it, and you can as well.
NON-MegaMan fans: STFU about it already, it's beyond trolling at this point. All this talk that Zero works well as "MegaMan" is FALSE, and even MvC1/2 MegaMan could be implemented into Marvel 3 VERY easily.
The MvC3 system can literally make ANY character good. (Look at Ryu and Tron, they were ass in Marvel 2, but are got combos and are viable in Marvel 3, right?)
Alas, I'm dealing with Eventscrubs here, where trolls are a-plenty and people can't shut the hell up about arguments that have BEEN settled.
@46: I already accepted it the first time but having been denied a second time crossed the line. If they add him as DLC, then maybe I can manage.
My god I'm sooooo sick of hearing about Megaman. I love the guy too, but c'mon, he's already got 2 people in there representing his franchise, and face it, Zero's better anyways. How about we give some of Capcom's other franchises more balanced representation in the game? Maybe another Final Fight character? Haggar's pretty lonely there by himself. Hows about Poison? We need some girls in there, the game's becoming a sausage fest. Or maybe a villain from either Bionic Commando, Viewtiful Joe or Amaterasu to balance out their representation?
@portalsofmadnes
Nobody did want them until they almost came, Frank Randomly appeared as a fighter in Tatsunoko vs Capcom, He was pretty goodm so people wanted him to come back.
Phoenix Wright is a totally different story, NOBODY wanted him as a fighter, people thought it would be funny but he's not a fighter so forget about it, even the fans agreed.
But then, the ineveitable happened, in a piece of developer work, Phoenix Wright was a lost character in TvC, a character who ALMOST made it but scrapped. People didnt believe it, so they started encouraging Capcom to finish what they started for MVC3, he didnt come but now he's in Ultimate because of the support.
The funny thing is, while it is ridiculous, they're serious to make him a good fighter instead of a joke like Servbot, and he's moveset which is not fighting makes it unique and fun
@52
The whole thing is that fans would have thought that MegaMan's original franchise would've been represented instead of X and Legends only. It's like only having Ken and Akuma without Ryu in the next Street Fighter.
As for other characters having more representation, Poison wouldn't really fit in a game like this, to be honest. They did a good job with her in SFxT, but that's pretty much stretching it in that game to fit the theme, she wouldn't do well (nor make a complimentary addition to Haggar) in Marvel 3.
I'm okay with the current cast, as more franchises are represented, save for Dead Rising. I don't see why those games are great.
@53
I'm stoked for Phoenix Wright as well. I was disappointed when I learned that he was supposed to be in TvC.
In TvC, it would've made much more sense for him to be in there. There, it was Super Heroes vs Extraordinary Humans, and Nick is definitely extraordinary. TvC was a very fun game, filled with exciting moments that made it a blast to play, and Phoenix would've fit SO well into the TvC theme.
People find his inclusion in UMvC3 completely awkward, considering that he's a Lawyer going up against the likes of Gods and Cosmic Beings, so they call him a "waste".
I, for one, enjoy their tears and eagerly await his reveal trailer to finally find out how he plays. Because it's Marvel 3, he's going to be serious, and THAT is what makes me even more excited.
And now something completely unrelated to all this bickering - I'll be going as press to NYCC. Look forward to my tips!
Sometimes, I can't help but laugh at some people search for philosophical souls among a video game forum.
If you want rational and unbiased thinking; sucks for you. In the real world people demand things. If we don't get what we want, the only way to be heard is if you demand it.
It's really gotten sad to the point where others are seeing this demand for things "crying" or "not getting over it."
Capcom betrayed their fans by not including it's Icon; a character some of us grew up with.
Majority of you weren't even born yet or was still sucking your mother's tit so you wouldn't have the slightest interest of playing as Megaman or even variation and I respect that.
But don't come here and attempt to "Save" the face of what is Capcom now. Maybe you have gotten over it because you never was involved with their earlier titles but some of us grew up with Capcom since 8-bit.
This new generation of gamers is just sad and pathetic...
Anyone who thinks Zero is anything like X or Megaman has obviously never played a Megaman game before.
I really want Bass, though. As much as I believe Megaman should be in it, if they decide to include Bass instead of Megaman, I think I'd be okay with it.
#57
I dont know if you meant my post too or not, but im going to answer anyway. Its one thing being sad or even a little mad about Mega Man not being in the game, but saying stuff like: "People should throw stuff at capcom" and whatnot is messed up. And the way people in gaming forums express their anger just makes me feel like being in a cage with monkeys who throw faeces at each other.
Btw. I love Mega Man. The X series are my favourite games of all time and i listen to tracks of Mega man 2 and 9 on my ipod all the time. But i dont think he fits in a fighting game. Zero is much better suited for that. I hated him in MvsC 2
@58: I'm okay with it too. Plus, an anti-hero kicks just as much butt as a regular hero.
@ #52 Who cares if its a sausage fest? (Rhetorical question) speaking for myself, I DON'T! Its a video game based on video game & comic book characters. Most of all the really cool comic book & video game characters are dudes, at least in my opinion.
Girl Characters ARE cool and all but as a guy, im not about to be picking female characters just to justify how many males are in the game. I don't feel obligated to pick a female character just cause its a shortage of them. I don't care, and honestly, I want more male characters like blade, Luke cage, black panther, juggernaut, gene, batsu, asura, megaman etc.
In my personal life, I LOVE WOMEN, all kinds (I don't discriminate) but, I don't need a whole bunch of them in my fighting game. Hell, I got a FINE ASS honey-dip next to me right now as Im typing this and I said the same thing to her. But she doesn't care, she's actually the girly-girly type. She doesn't play video games, she rather spend her time putting makeup on to look pretty and spending all the money on my credit card to go shopping...
And I'm cool with that (the putting the makeup on to look pretty part, NOT the spending of all my money, lol) but I digress because she equally returns the favor, Financially and the sex a very pornish :D. But, the point I was trying to make is that im not anti-female when it comes to girl characters being in the game but, at the same time I don't think girl characters should be added just cause they're a lack of them.
But I can see why some of y'all would like more female characters, especially the female players. Just from my perspective, I could care less, its not like its gonna make the game any worse if they're not added cause its not. And with that being said, I will be getting Skullgirls... whenever the hell it comes out. Oh, and Ms Marvel for UMvC3 DLC!
F#©k niitsuma, I used to love the versus series ever since xmen vs street fighter, but releasing another version 9 months later, is really bulls#1t. Hell I even bought the collector's edition... But never again for a game by niitsuma, hell I'll even wait to buy this game (this is MY opinion, I dont care what you say). Ono on the other hand, deserves all my respect. And please, a collectors edition of sfxt!
@60
I can say I'm very much like you when it comes to being a fan, but I liked Rock in Marvel 2.
Granted, he had little to no combos (as EVERYONE who wasn't God-Tier) but, as a character, he was very fun to play and unique. I can see how he might have a bad rep due to being prone to spam by less experienced players, but he was a good character.
If he was implemented the same way Ryu and Tron was with the "Marvel 3 Makeover", he would be having combos left and right just like how Ryu and Morrigan have legit combos now instead of being "mandatory filler" in a Capcom crossover. (I use Morrigan, so don't take that as me bashing her, I love her. :3)
In short, look at it from a broader perspective instead of being close-minded to "how he was in Marvel 2" because almost all returning faces from Marvel 2 had no combos except for MSP and the like.
"The wait’s almost over as the much anticipated followup to last year’s monster fighting hit is only a month from launch."
Last year's? Lol
