And jeez, whats with all the hate for Costumes? Honestly I don't mind new costumes. If I like a certain costume, yeah i'll buy it. Would I buy the entire set? Probably not, but there is nothing wrong with like it. You're not forced to buy it so why insult people who do? This site is like full of rage or something I tell you.

I don't know Microsoft points, but i'm guessing thats maybe 3 dollars or something? Thats not that much money... Thats like buying a snack at 7/11... or a pack of batteries.. Hell batteries cost 6 dollars at 7/11... Sounds like some people are just cheap...
I've bought all costume the DLC, and the primary reason I bought AE PC was for modded costumes.
I'm all for new costumes, personally. Question is, how much will it be this go round and how many will there be?
I always found it odd that the newer characters (Super and onward) had one less costume than the Vanilla characters...
If they give Ken a good outfit it would kind of be a bad thing... He has a tradition of having horrible alt outfits in this series so please give him something bad Capcom
Maybe they'll have some more battle damage costumes since they said the one for Oni was popular. It would've been cool if Bison's alternate 1 was set up like that, but either way I'm a man who loves his costumes.
The reason Championship mode was effective was because people actually tried... With Ranked Match you play a person with 14000BP/4000BP then the next person has 3400BP/700PP. It's too inconsistent.
Championship Mode
-eliminate people trolling on new accounts
-You beat your last opponent so did the next person you're playing
-As you progress you earn more points, ranked match is completely random
Do not use the "WHO CARES ABOUT POINTS" argument. If that was the case Latif would not be #1 ranked Viper, Gameinn wouldn't have 5300PP and all the other pros that are on leaderboards wouldn't have 4500+ PP.... It should be apparent, if they got to 15000+BP they play obviously play ranked Match.
I do put emphasis on the "beat their last opponent part" Ranked and Endless are too inconsistent. Do you really learn anything from getting 20 wins in a row in Endless if you're just playing the same people who are new? Or do you get better playing people who are trying hard to win in championship mode?

So far I've regreted every single one of the costume packs I've bought haha pretty darn sad :( Everytime I'm like hell yeah a new costume for a character I like! Then after a week I realize the original I better. Never gonna buy a costume pack ever again. I wish I could sell the ones I have, I'd feel less stoopid :P
@9 Costumes is just an asthetic breath of fresh air for some people. Some folks are tired of seeing Ryu in the same white gi for the last 15 years. Stuff like this keeps the game fresh.

It's fine if you don't want or like DLC costumes but don't kid yourself into thinking your better than everyone else because you don't.

I completely agree. It'll be nice to see how the reiterate all the stages from SF2.
But I wouldn't say that "its never gonna happen." Have you tried starting some sort of a request petition on Capcom Unity or SRK???? If not, then it'll be worthwhile as Capcom does take fan requests. For example, Seth Killian just mentioned two days ago that the main reason why Rolento was added to SFxTekken was because fan requests.
I never understood why people get so mad about costume dlc when they arent even mandatory. Its just more options for people who like to have them. Its all fan service for people who want to differenciate their cahracter from everyone else's and thats why they have more than two pallett swaps, taunts, ending quotes, and costumes. They're not neccessary but they're nice to have.
Anyways if I recall correctly these location test should be the beta build as the earlier ones were of the alpha build. Hopefully they do a developer blog.

Don't bother doing petitions on Unity. There is a 1/100 chance that they'll actually listen to you. The only way is if it's like the Megaman Legends 3 thread (which I don't think will happen) or 3S where dozens of threads were made about it every week, which it doesn't. The only thing Unity is good for is asking questions and getting some answers. Requests rarely do anything.
normal costumes are fine to me, but if they make another costume like blanka's alt #3, then I need another option to disable character costumes. that Blanak alt #3 kills my eyes.
New costumes? Ok, I'll buy em. I hope Bruce Lee's yellow jumpsuit from game of death is finally in there for Fei.
I want Championship Mode back. That was the best mode ever in the SF4 series.
But Capcom, is it impossible to make new stages for DLC or what? The grass stage from Alpha, Sagat giant statue stage and Honda stage from SF2 would be awesome.

That's because the case with Rolento was the same with 3S, dozens of threads were made every week.
This is not the case for SF2 stages. It'll just turn out like my SF1 Remake thread; it'll end up being 2-3 pages, and then it'll just end up in page 2 of the forum and will just be forgotten.
I believe Capcom stated that they have announcements lined up for after the dust has settled and everyone has been crowned.
Doesn't that mean tomorrow is the last day? Or is it only a one-day tourny?
championship mode is for scrubs. scrubs love that mode because you don't actually lose points, unlike in ranked where you lose points when you lose.

Quite frankly, I could care less about costumes.
If I like them, I'll buy them. Capcom releases these costumes so they can pay their employees and get more money in general; it's how a business works, and all of you people who are mad about the costumes need to lighten up.
Seriously, Go play PS3 SSFIV if you don't want to see costumes.

To stop I bought almost all the DLC costumes why cuz I can it don't dent my pockets it doesn't mean I'm playing barbie and Ken cuz I have seen some pros using them too which most people worship in the community my kids like em so I buy em I like em too pretty cool I think and I'm far from a kid I'm a bit older and probably been playing as long or longer than most when it comes to SF plenty of people must be buying them if they keep making them Personally I want to see the new DLC costumes I have seen ryu and Co. In the same stuff for as long as some have been alive
And also not everyone who plays is an aspiring professional some are young my kids play and they are 4 and 6 I play this series goes through a large gap in ages and skill level and once people begin to understand that maybe they can chill out always dissing on people

Okay what gives you the power to DEMAND who gets in or not? You don't have the right to say who should return or not, as you don't know the legal issues that revolve around the game. Also, what about vergil? Pheonix right? frank West? They are returning characters? Last time I checked They were all pretty high up in the rankings. and could everybody please using "X wasn't in so they don't listen to fans" When 4 out of the 6 new characters on their side were top rated in a FAN POLL

Would that make them money/ Probably not, but for you to say megaman AD to be in te game is complete crap. They could of done what Marvel did and completely IGNORE all the fans and use this one big advertisement for upcoming/older games. @81 They can afford it sure but at the end of the day capcom is a business and if people are willing to pay for DLC costumes they'll keep making them. If the community suddenly collectively decides to stop paying for them they're not going to keep on making them and give them away, if they weren't making money from it they'd just stop doing it. They should do something like a free bonus pack for people who have copies of all three iterations of SF4, but as i say they're a business so it's not very likely unfortunatly :( Why give away when you can charge 4.99?

@78 Sure does look that way. For all of the "fan poll" Capcom characters, only Strider has looked interesting and worth playing. While with Marvel's "screw the polls" picks, so far all of them have shown something to make them interesting and worth trying out.

Ryu has had the same Gi for 22 years not 15 SF1 came out in '89 and SF2 came out in '91 that would be 18 years ago.
