Interest in this game is still minimal after all the trash that came from regular Marvel 3. Hopefully once everything is out and about, the gameplay will make me want to play again.
Man that Vergil, his play style is really hype.
Good stuff. Iron Fist reminds me a little of Jam from Guilty Gear with the Chi and the different follow ups from his rekka type moves. Vergils lvl 1 is looking badass too.
Strider level 3 + Vergil level 1 = Impossible to block mix ups!? We shall see lol *looks at Clockwork*
Ironfist seems like he'll be a very good situational character to have, and at the highest level of play a great anchor to have on hand. I can imagine people using him with green hands as a battery character in the beginning, then maybe mid game going for damage and the kill. If hes on his back as anchor, switching to blue to up his toughness and relying on X-factor to cover for him in the damage department. Good to see he wasnt just a supercharged fei long, he kinda looked that way from the trailers. Now...BRING ON THE RACOON! :P
Vergil's level 3 better do massive amounts of damage then.
The more i see the less im hyped. My main problem is health. It seems to be half of that of vanilla it looks like even hulk is down after a few hits combos. Is it just me or anyone actually played any builds which can deconfirm this? I like long weighted battles and was originally disappointed with mvc3 for not having a option/handicap to allow more health like mvc2. Cheers if anyone can provide this information.
@3 theres something on the main page which links you to capcoms site which informs of the new moves try there
Iron Fist is super impressive, Maybe because i wasnt expecting much from him but he looks like a sleeper hit
Ironfist!!! Awesome! Vergil looks meh to me. who knows until we get an in-depth look from seth in a breakdown.
@12: I don't own the game, but I've noticed that even in regular Marvel 3, there's a damage setting of some sort after characters are selected. The default setting is Medium (and I don't see that changing in tournaments).
If you're correct, though, that means Phoenix will be even more of a wasted slot than I originally thought...
Iron fist is gonna be dangerous on X-factor with the offense chi.
@13 I very much want to power up. I'm so glad that they require him to dip into the Chi of Shou'Lau the Undying for power potential because that's what he's all about.
@19 about the health, im not that concerned about tournies as they have set their standards, and i doubt i would have the chance to ever place in evo etc as im from the UK (too pricey and inconvient to travel etc). This is more for me and my friends who do our own tourny type thing where we like long, swinging and anything can go type matches. It just looks like it been halved, probably my imagination/placebo effect but it does worry me.
I hope Ironfist has a decent amount of life, around average (950). The characters I play already have no life, so it'd be nice if my potential back-ups will have more. I love his power-ups, they don't feel cheap. His mix-up game is just right because you don't have to guess the following rekkas, they are slow enough to block on reaction.
His launcher is crazy, great OTG properties, but no good as anti-air, which is a fair trade, I guess.
Something told me from the beginning that i would like Iron Fist... and from what I have seen, i like. he looks cool as hell. Lots of potential IMO... now I just want to see Nova, nobody seems to care about him just like iron fist. hope hes cool too. And of course Phoenix Wright and Racoon... because I have never heard of RR before and Never played a wright game so My curiosity makes me pretty excited to see them in motion. I hope the rumor about the rest of the characters being revealed this weekend is true... even tho that will make november seem so much farther away lol
Iron fist doesn't seem too good here. He seems to be based on the ground and will probably excel at it, but what's keeping your opponent on the ground? He doesn't seem to have strong air normals and no specials that hit above him except for the Aurora Hyper one. He doesn't seem to have a strong AA either, although I could be wrong about that. I think he's interesting and I'm hyped to prove myself wrong here, but he seems to be one of the worst characters in the game so far.
wtf do they want my b-day for.... this is why youtube will soon rule the world
Now that I've seen Iron Fist in action, I'm REALLY disappointed that we won't get to see him fighting against Gene
i knew iron fist gonna be a groundplay character just from the trailer, but vergil is a lil' bit OP'd i would say... his hit range is just too crazy and that level 1 super ouroboros swords can be so tricky, as shown on the vid the spiral mode can be cross-up while the lock-down mode can put a great halt on your opponent while u can pressure them with combos, setups, etc.
@31 You will just have to wait and see. I remember people thought Taksmaster wasn't gonna be a good keepaway/rushdown hybrid but he turned out solid. The people designing these characters know what they are doing it's up to us to discover them. Thats if peo9ple can stop d*ck riding Wesker, pheonix, and sentinel for a moment and take some risk.
Iron Fists combos @1:29 remind me of Noels from bbc! If it is like hers then I will definitely be maining w/Iron Fist!
Vergil is looking very scary. A hyrid Dante/ Wesker. Lock for S tier
Damn I JUST sent the tip in. People are quick here. Well, im only helping. im liking the Iron Fist Chi powers. Very technical and has a lot of mixup potential. Can see some unblockable setups with him easy.
