Now I understand why Phoenix Wright had to be in Ultimate MvC3. He was supposed to be in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom but they had an hard time finding out what to do with his moves. He deserves that spot!

I know your pain, a good friend of mine is dying for it to get localized. :/ There's probably someone working on an English patch for those who have a flash cart for their DS's.

Ingrid was 1st in a Capcom fighter, that I don't remember the name, but it was cancelled when being tested in arcades.

The thing about MvC3 is that there are no low-tier characters at all and everyone is usable.
Players at tournaments only use the "popular" or "easy" characters. lol
If they decided to put Nick in the game, there is NO doubt in my mind that he will be on equal footing to everyone else in the roster. Fact.
Outside of Nova doing that one move, this is nothing new to be honest.
Is there a way to get an enlarged version of the banner?

There are tiers in MvC3. It's just that besides Phoenix, they're not that noticeable compared with most games since it's team based. A bad character can be made to work as long as he has the right partners, but there are still tiers.
For example, Spider-man is good, but Taskmaster is better. Tasky meshes with teams better(DHCs, assists, ect.), does more damage by himself, can take a hit better, and has a better range game. You can throw him on just about any team and he's solid. Spidey has better attack speed and mobility, but it doesn't add much for his team unless you religiously build around him (And he requires being on point).
I like seeing Nicky-boy's banner. Very nice. I'm excited for Nick more than ever aka Phoenix Wright.

I would agree with both, but I think tiers are based on personal opinions and overall character evaluation. I main Chun-li and she's considered low tier. I built a team of Hsien-Ko and Dormammu which a lot of people didn't think was going to work, but it did. It's all about player skill. At most tournaments, people just pick whatever character stands the better chance of beating another character or team, etc. For example, Viscant uses Phoenix because she's considered broken. But, Combofiend proved that even with that in mind, you can still beat her if you play your cards right. It comes down to skill and how much dedication you have towards the game, yourself and the teams you form.

So, you're saying just because I have combos with someone other than M/S/P, Tasky, She-Hulk, etc, they aren't considered "usable"?
Tournaments boil down to either (1) Who's easy to play with (2)Who deals good damage for little to few skill required (3)DHC Glitch damage

@62: Me too. I'm a big fan of Ace Attorney and Phoenix Wright is always the attorney to see. Heck, I even did playthroughs of the Phoenix Wright trilogy on Youtube.
Nova looking good. Can't wait to see Nova and Rocky in action... saving the best for last.
Its funny. Rocket Raccoon and Phoenix Wright is the most anticipated character to see. Lovers and haters combined. Lovers to finally see them in action and haters to hate on them seeing them in action. So in retrospect all the hate and love made these two characters popular.

Basically marketing, what capcom does best lol

@67 I think it's just design issues. For some reason Niitsumas team can't figure out how Megaman's moves should play like to make him different from Zero. It was the reason why Zero was chosen over Megaman X in the first place. But I won't get into that.

Why else would people be asking for him? I myself raged when I found out they removed him. When I heard MvC3 was coming out I hoped and prayed he made the cut.
The problem wasnt really his moveset. It was more how to make him NOT overpowered in the American version. His Level 3 hyper was "OBJECTION!!" and in Japanese it would've been "IGIARI" which would've been a simple chat bubble with 異議有り in vertical positioning. However in english it would've been way too long and apparently they say it was gonna do too much damage. Apparently there wasn't a way to scale it down to the same amount of damage in the Japanese version or something to that effect.

Classic Megaman has 80 moves to choose from, not including the Super Adapter to fuse with Rush.
X has 64 moves to choose from, not including the various types of armor he has across many games.
Oh, and they both have canon uppercuts in their games, so they can have a Shoryuken if they designed them with it.
I'm sure they have enough to make him different from Zero.

@86: I'm a big fan of all Mega Man but I feel that they should give his moves a serious tweaking. He SHOULDN'T be a shoto clone. He should use some of the moves as his normals while others can be his specials and have supers that make him stand out.

I almost want Megaman in just because he has so many fans I prefer zero myself but maybe he will be DLC calling other characters like PW &RR worthless is alittle overboard because just like there are Megaman fans these characters have fans too but instead of tripping over it just hope for DLC continue to vote on polls and maybe your Megaman wishes might be heard also pay attention to zero's new colors if they took his blue color away and replaced it there is a very good chance Megaman will be a possibility because they took wesker's virgil color away and look me and my buddies were dreaming for the day a MVC3 game would be made and never ever thought it would happen I want Sakura more than anything she's my favorite capcom fighter but I knew she wouldn't be in so I just learned to live with it

Dude anybody who looks at any comment section knows your "OPINION" (not universal fact) on Phoenix Wright. The one thing we don't know is why you bring it up every chance you get. The fact of the matter is no single person on Eventhubs has any idea what he plays like.
For example, I gurantee you this game has created a ton of taskmaster fans. He was not a very well known character compared to many others, but he has a very interesting power, an entertaining personality, and the reason we got to know him is? He can be fun to play (depending on who you ask), so people look up a bit out of curiosity and boom a game you enjoy has helped you discover something else you like. Taskmaster could easily have more moves than all the characters combined thanks to his abilities, but they just threw stuff here and there and he turned out cool.
Why explain all that? Well Phoenix Wright is in a similar boat. Instead of having all these skills to pick from he has nothing but little comical things we could put in from games. Using only that would produce a character with almost no moves, so Capcom would have to get creative. With creativity we get things like Rufus, Abel, C.Viper, etc. A blank canvas can be a very powerful thing. It is without question each character has a general gameplan. They probably won't change that idea for Phoenix Wright, so he would likely have a playstyle. I will laugh my head off if his playstyle perfectly meshes with yours.
Gameplay which we have not seen people. It is nothing to get mad about.
I for one would like to have seen Mega Man X, but am not heart broken because he had a playstyle we will never know. If he turned out like TvC or MvC2 his playstyle would be "get overwhelmed and die under rushdown". Who knows, but I don't see 12 character. I see 12 playstyles.
Oh and grading a game by it's sales figures is just hilarious. I guess GodHand was total garbage, Phone games are the best games ever made and we are stupid for playing anything else, and cult movies in general are awful.

Phoenix Wright is in the game because Capcom wanted it to be so, NOT because MegaMan isn't wanted, because he IS. It's THEIR decision that he's in it, despite millions of fans SCREAMING at them because of it.
Ryu sucked ALOT in MvC2, but with the MvC3 revamp, he's actually viable in MvC3.
Same goes for Morrigan.
Same goes for Tron.
The EXACT same logic can be put for MegaMan.
With an MvC3 overhaul, his exact same moveset in MvC1/2 can be viable in MvC3. THAT is a fact. Period.

Ryu and morrigan weren't bad if you knew what you were doing but tron was a beast if you know how to use her. She was my main in mvc2 and not because of that ridiculous damage that assist did but b/c I knew how to use her but BBhood ended up taking her spot.
and anybody can be beast if you know how to use them that's what it all comes down too.

In Japan it would be: "Rock Man vs Ryuuichi Naruhodou"! Just like it would be "Ryuuichi vs Balrog (Dictator)"! I would pay a fotune for Dictator and Megaman on UMvC as DLC! But I bet that's what Capcom aims to do! Make the fan base desperate enough to buy the game just for the popular characters in the Marketplace!

If you actually read my post and comprehended your response is a little out of place (unless you meant quit trying to convince people how the game works because they probably won't catch on). Not once did I complain about any character. I actually basically said I don't care about the face I care about the playstyle. I'm still having fun with MvC3 and think UMvC3 will be even better.
