Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 now confirmed for PS Vita

UPDATE: An image was captured from a pre-showing at Sony's latest conference with the PS Vita. In it, it shows UMvC3 in the lineup of games. The title will be released December 2011.

Kotaku and IGN have reported that Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will be making its way to handhelds as a Playstation Vita title.

Their reports come from translations of the latest issue of Famitsu magazine, which have yet to be verified through screenshots but have been making their way around gaming forums.

Pretty cool Sony is getting some great chips lines up for the handheld side of things. Now about improving PSN... Either way I'm highly interested in Vita and this helps, and I haven't cared much about handhelds since Gameboy.

well, good for those PSV players. But still, fighting games needs to be played in conditions. Thats means, a TV and a Tournament Stick.

But good, for those no-tournament people. They will be able to play a very good game, just like Blazblue Extended and SFxT.

...dont care to have this on the go, but whatever, guess if you were like Fanatiq and use pad this will help you get some pratice on the go. But with Vita's abysmal battery life i cant see people being able to enjoy this for to long on the go before needing to recharge

It'd be pretty awesome if you can connect a TE or Dualshock to the Vita to play these fighting games because it would suck to play too much with the built in controls and have them break. You can't buy a new controller for $40, you'll have to get a whole new system.

@33 The newer version of the psp lets you use a PS3 controller to control your psp via bluetooth. I don't see why Vita can't do the same thing.

umvc3 and sfxt on a portable only spells out training mode, for me. and in that avenue, it'd only be combo creation and testing. at which point id take it back home and have to translate it into stick controls.
