Capcom put out a press release this afternoon detailing things like an online training mode and a 4-player online/offline mode as well. Hit the jump to see everything.
GAMEPLAY OVERVIEW
The long awaited dream match-up between the two leaders in the fighting genre becomes a reality. Street Fighter X Tekken delivers the ultimate tag team match up featuring iconic characters from each franchise, and one of the most robust character line ups in fighting game history. With the addition of new gameplay mechanics, the acclaimed fighting engine from Street Fighter® IV has been refined to suit the needs of both Street Fighter® and Tekken® players alike.
FEATURES
• Dream Match Up – Dozens of playable characters including Rolento, Zangief, Cammy, Sagat, Hugo, Ibuki, Poison, Dhalsim, Ryu, Ken, Guile, Abel, and Chun-Li from Street Fighter as well as Heihachi, Lili, Julia, Hwoarang, Raven, Kuma, Yoshimitsu, Steve, Kazuya, Nina, King, Marduk, and Bob from Tekken.

START ringing your friends and choose your partner
2V2 at big tornaments is gonna be epic!!
great. Online training mode is such a great option to have.
4 player mode. YES. THats gonna be insane online and offline will be just too much. Team tournaments will be crazy.
Now the rest of the game is gonna come down to the cast.
Gotta find a teammate for Street Fighter x Tekken! Who's willing to train with me?
@21
from the look of it if u active it the character fighting gets sacrificed. So if ur partner goes it he kills himself.
WE WANT BLANKA!!!
And oh yeah, tag team battle is an awesome feature. This could be the thing that can drive the fighting game to new heights. The tourneys for one thing will be ore hype and action packed.
@23
Yea, i can see alot of potential with his beast hope. Like canceling juggles with beast hops to extend or go for resets.
Please make him like cvs2. And dont forget honda.
that 2 player thing sounds cool but no one would really prefer to play like that.
that pandora mode looks sick
This is too f**king epic! Tag with a partner, training too. Pandora looks great. It says the power-up is short so that will be wild. I cannot wait for this game.
If Sakura makes it in this game and asuka my personal life will be ruined the game of 2012 uuhhhh...and I jizzed in my pants
SCRAMBLE MODE

hOLY SH!T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!!1!!!!!1!1!ONE11!!!!!1!!!!
looking great... especially like 4 player mode. i hope you can play 4 player mode online... with 2 players on one console. would be awesome. now if they just added Elena, I'd be set
@33 I am thinking that Cross Assault is going to be the comeback that I am going to use more than Pandora mode because it is easier to use IMO but the Pandora Mode is probably the second meter and the time that you have for Pandora Mode is the amount of life that the other character has.
(See why it's good MK9 was a good game? Capcom came out with not only 2v2 mode, but also FREAKING ONLINE TRAINING MODE!)
The actual fact sheet for the info is http://ihogeek.com/2011/09/13/street-...
And weren't they talking about 3DS maybe? I don't see anything about that on the sheet.
i dont think 2v2 will be going on in tournies much, think of console limitations. They only have 2 usb ports on both ps3 (newer models) and 360. Being that most sticks are wired, unless using wireless pad, there wouldnt be enough ports. The only way i think it would work is if the tourney have the add on for usb ports (but we still dont know if this mode will be local or just online), if there is lan support or playing over the tourney lobby's wifi with 2 consoles. I do hope they find a way to put 2v2 in tournies, it would be nice to see. Now you have to know not just what your opponent is thinking, but what your partner is thinking aswell. :P
@42 I almost spit up my tea from laughing so hard
Wow. The story revolves around alien technology? Good sh-t, Capcom.
All dem modes! This game is gonna be boss.
Oh yeah. We want ALEX! AND KARIN AND SODOM AND URIEN AND AND............
@51 makes a good point. Theres not enough USB ports for 4 player...!
This new Smash Bros is sounding great!
:P
In all seriousness, hype hype hype hype.
A dream match isn't a dream match without my Juri!
It's an interesting match, so far, however.
True on the base console itself there is not enough room... Can the make an attachment to create more ports... But of course!!!! <3 At this point in time... The game will only get better and new things will come out around it. If they make it 2v2 mode like MK9 did for this game... They actually could make the attachment for more ports be apart of the collector's edition or something if they wanted or at least that product can be released around the day this game comes out. All in due time.
I'm glad that there are all these two player modes, and stuff to choose from! The problem is that none of my friends like me enough in game to actually team up with me. :(
@59 that is because mvc3 is the most retiredly basic, and overly simplified fighting game in history. I don't have much hope for sfxt, it's gonna be another scrub friendly, fisher price combo system, fighting game. But maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.
@26 LOL I just notice it was the same person asking for Christe and them. And here I thought it was a high demand for them. But please give me Christe
well, they need a new attachment, OR u could just support system link for 4 player local.
Damn living in Aus with our poxy internet connection :#
oh my god Scramble mode sounds like a really terrible version of Smash Bros
I CAN'T WAIT!
all the other features sound cool too.
Online training room + 4 players mode
I can only post this:
Daigo, don't you DARE even THINK of applying to be my partner for SFxT's 2vs2 matches! STOP CALLING ME! STOP EMAILING ME! The begging's REALLY got to stop already, dude...
***Walks away with a blazer thrown over his shoulder as the sunlight and tears blind Daigo's eyes...***
"Toss your foes into Tekken -style juggles" god no.... haha I'm sure it won't be as awful right? I can hear the commentators already "Oh will he get to the wall? yes!" ugh... Anyway the game looks sick! Online training, it's about time goddamnit. I guess royal rumble will be godlike for tool-assisted fights and stuff. Pandora... hmmm well it doesn't seem like it lasts for long at least. Really unnecessary in my opinion though (like cross assaut).
I get the feeling Capcom will never make a hardcore fighting game again. Oh well it's still pretty fun.
@51 well they can always just connect a 2.0 usb hub to 1 usb port and then connect all of the controllers into the hub. i have xbox360/wii/ps3 and a usb hubs works perfect. i mainly keep it attached to the xbox since thats what i mostly play. on the usb port in front of the xbox i got my 16GB flash drive with my gamertag on it arcade stick in the 2nd port and in the back usb port i got my usb hub which i have my xbox camera, xbox wireless headset charger cable, ps3 wireless headset charger cable and a 1TB external hdd which i have pictures/movies/music in it to play on my xbox.
so with a $10 2.0 usb hub it will be possible for both xbox 360 and ps3 to have tag tourney's on the same console so they dont have to hook up online and worry about lag, having internet set up for the consoles or having a 2 systems connected to each other for system link.
@78 im not trying to start a argument or talk sh*t but does it really matter who anybody's partner is in the trailers? its just a trailer to introduce the character, its not like u have to pick that team every time u want to play as either of the characters. maybe sodom/maki arent in the game. i think they are just revealing random characters together as they finish making them. like when the 1st trailer came out they had paired up ryu and chunli which doesnt make sense but as soon as they made ken they paired ken with ryu instead of chunli with ryu. to me it doesnt really matter, every time they come out with a new trailer showing off characters and modes the game looks more and more epic! at 1st i wasnt sure if i was gonna get it cuz something looked kind of wack to me but after the trailer that came out yesterday im sold. ill be at the gamestop midnight launch for this title.
this is great
