Updated: Some new information about the problem that came up today with the first DLC package for Street Fighter 3 Third Strike Online Edition for Xbox Live has been addressed on Capcom-Unity, it reads:
Hi everyone, we have a small public service announcement. Today, the "Color Pack 1" DLC for Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition released on Xbox Marketplace, but it contained incorrect files. The DLC has since been removed from the Marketplace and we are working diligently to get the revised DLC up on the Marketplace. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused.
For those of you who purchased “Color Pack 1", please contact our customer service department here (click on the "Ask a Question" option). Shortly after the revised DLC pack goes up on the X360 Marketplace, you will be contacted and provided with a redemption code, so you can get the correct one for free. Please note, you’ll have to delete the data you downloaded in order to get the revised DLC download to work properly.
Also, please rest assured that despite being labeled as such, the replay data is not "Match Pack 1". Each Match Pack that we are preparing will not only contain professional commentary, but also information on all the pro players that helped to capture the footage and a Match Pack that contains a “best of” selection.
We apologize again for this mistake, and will keep you guys up to date with the status of "Color Pack 1".
How lazy are today's gamers? Buying color packs now? We used to grind to unlock the 1 color we wanted now, people just buy them. WoW! feed the useless machine people.
This is absolute blasphemy!!! I had some MS Points left over from when I initially bought 3rd Strike anyways so buying the colors didn't seem like a problem. I really only wanted them for the purple colored Gouki color. They better give me my goddamn money back.
@12
Well considering that the color pack was put up on PSN without a problem, I'd say this botch is on Microsoft's end since it's not Capcom that does the actual uploading of these things on the XBL servers.
@13
What will likely happen is that everyone who bought this and got the wrong download will be given the color pack at no charge (since they technically already paid for it) once this gets sorted out. I've had something like this happen to me before with a download on XBL in the past, and that is how it was solved.
so i paid 240msp for a colour set, and didnt get it. Instead i got a crappy match pack i didnt want?!
I better be getting the colour set for free, once its sorted out
I was just about to buy the Color Pack. Maybe I should since I could get something for free...

Yeah, stfu
Attention all fan boys! Go jump off a bridge! There's no need to bash consoles just because something went wrong with the GAME DLC. Who knows what went wrong? Every system has its pros and cons. They'll never be perfect, so just accept it and enjoy whatever system(s) you have and/or will decide to play in the future.
My reaction to this....dlc..

WHERE THE FHUK ARE THE ACTUAL EXTRA COLORS THAT WHERE IN ANNIVERSARY COLLECTIONS!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?
!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
WHO IS THE IDIOT INCHARGE. Capcom, just hire me, cause i wont fhuk up the game i love so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i understand buying characters and costumes, but now theyre selling colors is beyond ridiculous this should be free.. whats next? different color super bars?
omfg!!! for the last time ppl aren't. bitching about being offered optional dlc! HOW FUKING RETARDED R U PPL SAYING THIS??? ppl are bitching about the fact that not only has capcom completely crapped on the "perfect port" of 3s they promised fans would "piss themselves" over (which they have yet to fix btw).They now have the audacity to try to sell dlc of THINGS THAT ARE FREE LITERALLY EVERYWHERE ELSE!!!! W/o even fixing the major problems the game has 1st.
Nearly every KOF after 99 has had color edit mode for FREE,tekken has its customization mode for FREE,soul calibur has both clothing customization and color edit and guess what? its FREE!!! Even some of capcoms own games have had color edit mode free.CvS1 & 2 had it for FREE, hell Alpha Anthology had color edit mode for each game of the collection except hyper SFA...FOR FREEEE!!! but for some reason they expect ppl to forgive them for botching 3sOE, us being ignored when TOLD BY CAPCOM to request the dlc we want to see in the game then instead offered items free everywhere else.match vids=>free...custom colors we could've made much better ourselves => free.why couldn't these things be included in the vault and only the music from ng & 2i be dlc?
to everyone. :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bF9lx...

I agree 100% COLOR EDIT OPTION MUTHERFCUKERS, DAMN CAPCOM! COLOR.EDIT.OPTION like you know..your old games had well some of them, CVS2 on the xbox 1 comes to mind (like #34 stated) and that even allowed other online players to see your edit colors and such so it is possible and yeah yeah yeah I know if I don't like the color pack I don't have to buy it, that's not my point here.
There is such a thing a value added content and then there's dicking over your customer base, Capcom has been doing the latter by chopping modes and options out and offering them as DLC. That wouldn't be so much of a problem if we hadn't seen these modes in other games back in the day which were cheaper and for some had online play so the plethora of excuses I'm hearing from Capcom don't quite make sense to me. For example, didn't AE come with the additional costumes that were released before hand while the 3DS version of SSFIV came with every costume released up to that point? I know the short answer to this R.O.I, the big wigs at the top want to see this hand over fist, it's what gives the producer the green light to continue making version, updates etc, but there has to be a limit to how much you take away from your customers. Not trying to start anything here just voicing my opinion on the matter as a whole.
Ooooh Capcom, you just can't stop simmering in failure, can you? You really feel like pigs rolling around in 'poop', I'm sure. Not only they let out a pack of HORRIBLE color schemes, they have the absolute impeccable ability to realize it was the wrong pack. Oh I can't wait to see what the "real" color pack looks like, it should provide with further, endless insults about their autism.
This is why Capcom (And any company, really) shouldn't listen to their fans. Because fans (Not all, but a decent number of them) are whiny bitches who don't know what the f.ck they want. Seriously, the FGC must be the most ungrateful, hateful, childish bunch of douche's ever (At least online they are). Do you know WHY this game has so many problems and no color edit mode? Because they listened to fans. They should have made the game how they were going to make it. But no, fans wanted nothing less than "ARCADE PERFECT" (Stupidest f.cking thing I've ever heard). But, here's the thing... arcade games in the late 90's weren't designed to work on the 360/PS3, let alone work online. Capcom COULD have fixed it! They COULD have gave the game some cool (Much needed IMO) re-balancing, they COULD have added color-edit, they COULD have made it run online like an Olympics sprinter, they COULD have added NG and 2i stages and themes, and they COULD have ensured that there were absolutely NO glitches (Of the level we have seen, at the very least). But... No... They had their hands tied to what they could and couldn't do. Why? Because fans wanted an "ARCADE PERFECT" game. Adding any of the things people are bitching for would have made it unfaithful to the original arcade release, and then you'd be bitching about that as if Capcom was the biggest f.ckface in the world. I'm seriously f.cking tired of people just RIPPING on this port for no actually sensible reason. And THIS! It's a f.cking THREE DOLLAR OOOOOPPPPPTTTTTTIIIIIOOOOONNNNNAAAAALLLLL COLOR PACK! THREE DOLLARS! That's BUS FARE and a CHOCOLATE BAR (Where I live)! If you're so broke that you can't afford to take the bus and get yourself some chocolate, to the point where you feel a burning passion in you to RAAAAAAGGEEEEE, then maybe you shouldn't have bought your PS3/360 in the first place... FGC FTW...
I'm not that annoyed that Capcom are selling this color pack. I have no intention of buying it, but Capcom aren't forcing me to buy it, so this is pretty "don't care" for me. The only thing that's annoying about it is that they KNOW the fans wanted the NG/2I stages, which would be soooooo easy to do, and are instead releasing pointless stuff like this. Personally, I think there's enough color options in the game already for anyone to be happy with, but whatevs.
First off can any of you guys act like grown ups for once? All this big text yelling is retarded. Grow up! Im sure you can show your disapproval of the whole thing in less then a few
Having said that. I will say this is kind of retarded. I know it's optional to buy but....why colors? It's not like they are costumes. Music? Ok, Stages from older games? Why not? Colors?
Umm no thanks.
I hate what Capcom has become as much as anyone does here, but #39 really does have a good point. The FGC is contradicting nowadays, they want arcade perfect (A.E anyone?), yet they get pissed at Capcom for doing what they wanted in the first place.
@27
Wow.. the best you could do was an article from four years ago, where it was down for a few hours? And you're comparing this to an outage that happened this year and lasted for months?
That's kind of sad, even from mindless Sony fanboy standards.
@44 - Not to mention that article doesn't mention anything about private data being leaked. It's not even close to the same thing.
@26 - You're a dumbass. Keep spouting old memes like a retard though.
glad I didnt buy the DLC. And thats just like Microsoft. Instead of giving you a refund, they are gonna give you a redemption code.
That's false advertising right?
