A good write up for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 was posted by Arlen Pringle from PAX 2011. He includes some interesting notes about the various characters in the game, towards the middle of the article, and there's some new things discussed. Magneto: Everyone I saw was dropping Magneto combos left and right, as it looks like his long Hard Attack loop in the air is gone, and his EM Disruptor is slower than it was previous. That being said, his new move which allows him to push and pull characters anywhere on screen is extremely good. Characters like Haggar and Tron are going to have a hell of a time moving in on him.
Sentinel: Looks like he can’t do the corner hard drive loop anymore, and maaaaaaybe Hyper Sentinel Force does less damage, although it’s hard to tell.
Nemesis: Is a beast. He does a huge amount of damage, has the most health in the game, and is a threat from almost anywhere on the screen. His rocket launcher can whiff on smaller opponents, but is the perfect height to hit jumping opponents in the crotch.
A lot of his normals that look unsafe aren’t, and his reach is two-thirds of the screen with those tentacles. He is the ultimate newbie character, with easy combos and straightforward moves.
His only weakness is his limited mobility, as his dash is worthless. I won’t even call it a dash. Maybe a jaunt or mosey. Without assists or X-Factor he is a goner, but with either of those resources available, he is extremely scary.
Taskmaster: My man. He got one new move, a blockable command throw where he stabs you and then shoots you. I’m still not sure what the use of this is in combos, but you can OTG assist after. He got no nerfs, and with the air X-Factor addition I think he will move up the ranks a bit.

Nemesis looks like he's purely a point character. I'm glad he feels like a tank. He should be. That's how he was in RE, so they should have some kind of reflection of that.
As for Taskmaster, new move = stylish looking. That is all.
Also, Magneto sounds like he's feeling more like Magneto... from the comics, of course.
Don't care much for those characters. Maybe Nemesis when I get my hands on him. I liked that Chris' medium grenade looks to have gotten a buff, now making a little fire pillar, and I like that Morrigan has a move that eats the opponents super bar. She's my new anti-Phoenix :D
I thought Magneto was supposed to be slower. Meaning not much "in your face" action anymore.
I'm glad that Taskmaster got no notable nerfs. He was nearly perfect as is in MvC3; a great character, but one that wasn't dominating or TOO strong. I think the only thing that could be considered a nerf is that his vertical arrow shot has a changed trajectory but that's more of an adjustment than an outright nerf.
His new move can be comboed into after his shield charge and some people have shown off its uses in corner combos back at Comic-Con. I'm sure there's still a lot more to discover though as far as that move goes though.

He is, his dashes are not as effective as they were in vanilla MvC3. His new pull/push move is design to make up for his loss in mobility.
So Nemesis' simple bnb does 75% to most of the cast, yet Thor has nothing new and now loses to him in the health department? Thanks guys :'D
Capcom: Leading the industry in balancing since MvC1
IF Taskmaster cant do Unscaled OTG Arrow Hyper off his throws then he's cool with me!
@13
I vaguely remember reading somewhere that it's no longer unscaled as of the PAX build, but you'll have to take this with a grain of salt as I can't remember the source at the moment.

MvC3 was a test not a joke! Joke's are not on the main stage at EVO!
(@15 3sOS and [insert game here] already came out, you can move on instead of being a dbag)
Thor needs a new super that gives him a charge. Thor is fast not slow! He needs a bersker charge thing. Tmaster seems too good now.
Hey fraudsquad2 where's your game at hmm, Yeah I didn't think so. MvC3 may have been far from Perfect but it was still a fun game worthy of most people time who manage to get by it's balance issue & did not care if modes weren't in the game had been spoiled with since SF4. Why are you even commenting on the game if you hate it so much?
"•I compared Rocket Racoon to a small, furry Cable. Seth came back with, “I don’t know why people keep saying that.” I guess maybe he doesn’t play like Cable… maybe he’s more of a small, furry BB Hood?"
BB hood :O...I might have to consider RR as a main now...
''He is the ultimate newbie character, with easy combos and straightforward moves.''
CC never ceases to make characters as braindead but also as strong as possible. Mid-screen command grab, Hulk DMG, hulk+more HP, lvl 3 with great range...Great, the new sent.
Altho lookig forward to it
i need to know... does this still works?

Typical fanboy comment, saying we are spoiled for a game that the consumers spent $$$
Not being spoiled buddy, just just called wanting to get what you pay for
Kind of sucks Thor doesn't have a thing. With all these new characters, buffs and new moves he is going to be useless. It's September now and I believe it takes 3 months for a game to go gold so yeah... if Thor wasn't dead before he is now.
btw not a thor fan nor do I play with him. I just like balance.
I love Taskmaster, probably one of my favorite characters in the game.. untill Ultimate Marvel comes out then I'll have my Frank West again.
Cool
