Capcom vice president, Christian Svensson, noted that there will be an update for the PC release of Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition tomorrow morning. Here's a rundown of what to expect.
Just a heads up: the new title update we teased earlier for SSF4:AE PC has been approved by Microsoft, and is going live tomorrow! It should be available on both Steam and GFWL early tomorrow morning.
Here is the official change list:
• As requested by users, we've added support for the following render resolutions:
640x480
720x480
720x576
1280x1024
• Support added for a wider range of arcade sticks
Many arcade sticks that previously would not be recognized should now be recognized (again, no guarantees your exact stick/pad is covered but there's a lot more natively supported than before).
• Fixed a bug that caused just the stick inputs (left / right / up / down) to not be recognized
• Fixed a bug that could sometimes cause extra lag/slowdowns in Endless Battle mode
• Fixed a bug with the controller mappings not always saving, especially when adding / removing controllers
• Fixed a bug that would allow players to go online with incorrect benchmark scores, which could affect match making
Please mess around with it tomorrow and let us know what you think in the Arcade Edition forums.
I MUST know if my PS3 TE stick will work or not before I purchase this...
@2 - I've heard PS3 TE sticks do work on PC for the most part. Just not on a few limited chipsets, this patch may even improve for those few.
"SSF4:AE PC has been approved by Microsoft" why they need apProbation of microsoft?
@7
Same reason Landlords won't let someone just move in without a security deposit, to keep them safe.
Hori fighting ex 360 arcade stick is the best for this game.
I Hope i can use my Madcatz Chun Pad without the game forgetting my command inputs..
#2 You can use PS3 TE stick in this Version
though you need to download software's like Libusb or Sixaxis.
PS3 TE still does not work. Well done Capcom, I can't wait to pay for more DLC.
Hi,
I get a PS3 TE R2 and it work fine without download software.
I use a VIA chipset USB card to plug (7€ in France).
Madcatz PS3 stick don't work on motherboard with nvidia chipset and some Intel chipset (H55 for example).
In this case, it's a MadCatz stick issue !
Maybe it's the same thing for the PS3 TE.
;o)
Taken from Madcatz own Product FAQ:
Q: My PS3 Arcade FightStick (TE and Standard) or PS3 FightPad is not working on my computer.
A: The PS3 SFIV TE/SE FightStick and FightPad does not officially support the PC, but should work with PCs that do not make use of a NVIDIA® chipset. If a workaround is discovered, we will post more information for you here.
As suggested in the previous post, you need a USB PCI card which has a VIA chipset.
I understand that, I'm just still in shock that it's 2011 and the game has issues with NVIDIA.
Remaining issues spotted so far...
1/ Lighting Issue. (Doesn't matter much seems we have an unofficial fix anyway)
2/ Can still hear the music at zero volume.
3/ BP And PP cheaters are still showing up.
4/ Buttons A and B still not the forced default for "Forward/Back" in menu's regardless of config.
5/ Still no rumble/force feedback support.
6/ Spanish language still isn't working.
#16 The one that bug me a bit is your #4
Happy they improved endless battle play and continue to support PC though!
:D
Yeah, I must agree there BlankaBeast.
Updated list with some extra things noticed...
1/ Lighting Issue.
2/ Still not being able to completely mute either of the 3 SFX options(BGM/Sounds/Voice)
3/ BP And PP cheaters are still showing up.
4/ Buttons A and B still not the forced default for "Forward/Back" in menu's regardless of config.
5/ Still no rumble/force feedback support.
6/ Spanish language still isn't working. (Might be the Steam version only)
7/ Still can't skip intros/get to main menu using TvC stick + mayflash box. (Spacebar must be used instead)
8/ Stability issues in windowed mode.
9/ Color 11 and 12 issue still not fixed. (Need to make it so it detects a SFIV savefile)
@13
I don't think you understand. If your PS3 stick didn't work before there is no way they can make it work in the game.
The PS3 stick doesn't support PC. It was made with the PS3 in mind only. Its a hardware issue.
It would be like complaining, after the update, that your SNES controller still isn't supported.
I'd be SET if they just made A + B the default menu navigation buttons instead of LK and MK.
Yes, on certain chipsets.
So if yours supports it, it supports it.
If your PC doesn't, it doesn't.
There is nothing that can be done with softare in the game, or any software for that matter. You'd have to buy some new hardware.
Wow, wth... I updated the game, and after the update the game just won't work anymore.
