Ok, I could be wrong here, but Ono is clearly teasing multiple characters in the second video. The sumo arena with the fish statues, and the bare hand looks like Honda may make it in the game after all. At 0.23, that's clearly the floor of Rolento's lift stage from Street Fighter Alpha 2, So Rolento may be in it. Finally, we see Sean's bonus game stage from SF3 Third Strike. Maybe we're getting six reveals at TGS, just saying.
It's Rolento... the barrels are from his stage in Alpha 2... the belt, the gloves... look at the images in the background that go by, the orange of his jacket and the green grenades... only way I can explain the basketball stage is it might be in Metro City?
Other one is Heihachi I think.

The basketball is too blurry/unfinished to belong to a playable character.. I assume it's just a sign Sean will be visible in the background as a cameo, shooting hoops... just like Yun & Yang are skating.

It's Rolento and Heihachi.
The 2D stage with the floor grating and the steel barrel is Rolento's SFA2 stage. And the close up shot of his waist (yellow clothes with a brown belt), on top of a hand holding what appears to be a grenade pretty much rules out anyone else.
The Heihachi one is obvious. Taped wrists, black gi, etc.
However, the basketball is definitely Sean's. So either it's a red herring to throw people off, or Sean is also in the game.

Could it be that they will reveal 4 characters at Tokyo Game Show instead of the average 2 characters? If so, one video is working hard to tell us it could be Sean & Rolento (showing backgrounds that pertain to both of them). The other video is hinting at Heiachi and possibly Paul Phoenix, but I not so familiar with Tekken.
I'm probably misreading it all, but I'd like to think well get another four characters revealed to us when TGS goes down.
Now I look at it back again, it looks as if it could be teasing in this order: E. Honda (the stage, and I can make out an open palm in the second image), Rolento and Sean?
I don't know too much about Tekken but the other one only seems to show signs of Heihachi.

I'm starting to believe it's multiple reveals as well.
The positioning of the person at 0:14 reminds me of Guy, and at the same time the arm isn't dark. Also, the baggy outfit looks like the texture of Guys.
In addition, is it just me or did they take a pic of Sean's basketball out of third strike?
In conclusion, I didn't think of Sean in the beginning until I saw the basketball hint (His basketball is red, white, and blue).

I don't think is this video is revealing Sean. If you look at 0:31 on the video (collage of images at the end is over the character's SFxT artwork) if look at the top centre of the video you can see a hand coming from beneath the ripped images. That hand isn't the same ethnicity as Sean.
As to whether it's Alex or Rolento, I have no idea. I'm guessing Alex.
As for the second video I agree that it's def Heiachi, The tape on the hands and the gui look like him Plus he'd be an obvious Tag Partner for Kuma.
Oh yea, Heihachi is confirmed. You guys got another Mishima to deal with. Based on the design, I think it's the Old Heihachi,but since the main voice actor, Daisuke Gori, passed away due to suicide, I wonder who will do the Japanese voiceover.

I'm 99% sure that's Rolento, because Sean doesn't look like that, and his basketball can be ambiguous due to the setting BEHIND the basketball.
Your first instinct is to look at the basketball and draw an obvious conclusion.
Rolento and Ibuki on a team makes sense, not a DIRECT connection storyline-wise, but Rolento and Ibuki are very similar.

The first video clearly seems to be Heihachi...As for the second video I watched it 3 times and have no clue...However if you pause between the :14 and :15 second marks there is clearly and image that that goes from light to dark and looks like Honda and doesnt look like Rolento, Akuma, Sean, or any of the other characters mentioned so far.

The first image for the SF character is a boot, followed by a fighting-gloved hand, then a mid section. The next image, however is baffling, there is a bandage on the other hand's thumb apparently. I was thinking maybe it is a double confirmation, because Sean is not the best fighter by a long shot, so he probably injures himself a lot in order to be better, and as for Rolento... Meeshohn is still COMPREET!

My big thing is. That isnt Sean's stage. That's the parry practice bonus stage. So either Sean is also being revealed. That just seems assholish on Capcoms part to show that for just a cameo or stage.

I agree with AngrySteve. I see Rolento's belt, an yellow pants with belt loops. A karateka's uniform doesn't have belt loops. The basketball could be there to throw you off or bring your attention to a stage where Rolento is actually in the background, etc. The other, I was thinking was either T.Hawk or Gouken, but Heihachi sounds like an idea too.

What if that basketball is referring to something else?! Perhaps it is not revealing Sean, references something that Sean and Rolento can BOTH do. They both have damaging taunts! This abstract way of telling us that Rolento can use grenades to attack as his taunt or something like that.

Same here, Safari browser on the IPhone just sucks ass at times and its not just Eventhubs. I was able load up the Heihachi teaser, but not the Rolento teaser (it's obvious Rolento) in any site.
So I used the Opera IPhone browser and it worked fine.
@134: How about looking at the evidence instead of just theorizing? You do realize that the "leak list" hasn't proved ANYTHING yet, right? Also, Look at pairings like Dhalsim and Sagat, the pairs doesn't have to make absolute sense. However, if the leak list IS real, I certainly won't complain, so it's better for me to doubt it and then be pleasantly suprised than the other way around.

I'm happy with Sean, i never understood why so many people hate him, he is a cool fighter and an interesting shoto variation. Plus as Seth or Sven said about Hugo, characters who haven't been in any fighting game since 3S can get tweaked more easily and have new moves added to them. Besides, Capcom is also promoting 3SO so it makes sense. I also feel they are trying to please all fans by including characters who didn't make it into the SF IV games and might not even make it into the SF V series.

I don't like Sagat+Sim either, but they're both from eastern Asia and they're both very composed fighters. Doesn't make that much sense, but way better than Ibuki's costume in GEM FIGHTER or whatever lol.
Even if the list won't be true, we got 2 Sodom hints in the OFFICIAL trailers (Sodom neons in Hugo's reveal + Sodom stage), which make him the obvious choice given his background.

If you don't see Rolento, then I'm sorry to say that you may be blind. Look at the character model that is previewed; Rolento's clothes, gloves, grenade. Look at the 2D stage shown; Rolento's SFA2 stage. It's Rolento.
The basketball is either a red herring to throw people off, and it's been extremely effective on people that jump to conclusions, or it's a hint that he's ALSO in the game.
But either way, the teaser is for Rolento.

Looks like Heihachi and Alex/or Bryan to me. But more so Alex.
That leak list is a little over zealous tho'. 48 characters is too good to be true for a first edition release from Capcom these days. That looks more like many DLC's or versions of this down the road if anything. I didnt think they hated Elena that much to not include her if that list is right. No capoeira fighters from either side seems a bit odd. It will top out around 32-34 once it's out, but I hope Im wrong just for the sake of having more characters to play around with.

I think 2nd vid is either Sodom, Rolento, or a double reveal of both. The first couple of stage images are definitely Sodom - not only does the big fish in the stage match Sodom's stage from Alpha, but Sodom's story has him idolizing Japan and Sumo right? Which would explain why some people are thinking E. Honda. Mad Gear reveal, plain and simple. Although I'd love for Sean to be in as more than a character running around in the background.

It's gotta be Rolento and Heihachi. Why Rolento? The color palletes are yellow and green, which are his colors, the gloves aren't like the shoto's gloves, they are like Rolento's fingerless gloves, there's a freaking boot and a belt in the first pics lol, and I've never seen Sean strike a pose with his hand sticking up. Also, the pic of what looks like a plane's engine is actually a barrel on the floor like in Rolento's stage in Alpha 2, Metro City Skyline. Case closed :)

CHUN LI and CAMMY come across ASUKA and LILI... things start to heat up, but much like things took place in the Poison and Hugo trailer, they start to falter against these two beautiful girls. As soon as Chun and Cammy hit the ground and look up, they see it... THE KANZUKI-COPTER!!! Karin and Sakura jump down, facing their new rivals - Asuka and Lili. Sakura, giggling at the chance to fight with Asuka whilst Karin and Lili have the RICH B!TCH stare-down. Anyone agree?
The reason why I think the trailer they just finished is not going to have anything to do with these character teasers is because so far, most of the characters they've teased haven't been in the trailers, you know? I think they'll reveal more characters at TGS in exactly 2 weeks!! Can't wait to hear my Kanzuki laughter ~ <3

That looks like Makoto to me, look at the hand in the upper right, and partially yellow clothes and yellow water unless they decided to "recolor" that background character in order to make the hints more hideous. Indeed looks like there are multiple characters, otherwise I go with the Rolento idea ¿who else?

Heiachi's partner will be Kuma. I remember in Tekken 2 in Kuma's ending Heiachi trains Kuma to battle Paul.

First is Heihachi and for the second I think it's either Rolento or Q. The only thing that makes me think of Q is the belt, so I'm leaning heavily towards Rolento on this one.
I think the basketball might not be hinting at Sean's inclusion, but maybe the inclusion of bonus stages; though with the lack of parry mechanics (as far as we know anyway) having the basketball bonus stage seems highly unlikely. Of course the basketball could just be a red herring.

A little guideline for you scrubs:
Character's are being partnered based on game AND canon-wise. Ibuki with Rolento won't happen since they were never in the same game and never interacted with each other.
I always thought that parry bonus stage is part of Metro City. A friendly reminder for everyone, that is NOT Sean's stage. This is obviously Rolento, but what's more curious is who will be Ibuki's partner. If it's Makoto, I might start believing that leak.
Besides the fact that her fighting style is copy/pasta of generic stuff, there's nothing original about her.

"She does Capo." Capo is only "cool" on 3D plane.

The Tekken one is obvious, I can understand that Namco likes to tell you the characters more clearly, it definitely Heihachi no doubt.
If you really look at the glove and the arm carefully, the glove is BROWN, and if you look at the ARM and Fingers it's obviously a white person,then they show stage, that one is obviously Rolento. I think the basketball one is leaking out Sean.
So it's pretty much Heihachi, Rolento, and Sean. It's not the first time they sort of leak a character in another trailer sort of hidden, for instance they leaked Raven's face in one of the character trailers. The basketball is there for a reason. They'll probably show Heihachi, Rolento, Sean, and Asuka at Tokyo Game show which is my guess.
Elena has unique looking animations within the street fighter roster, we don't have a character from African in modern SF, black females in general are a rarity in video games. Her move set is similar to other characters, but her healing super is also really unique. Capoeira can also make for some tricky animations that are hard to read. I think there is definitely a validity to her style in a 2d game.
Her fighting puts zero emphasis on Capoeira. She has no feints or shenanigans other than the person actually picking her at the selection screen when it comes to deciding a character to lose with.
Capoeira is not appealing on 2D. leave it on 3D where you can actually utilize the actual fighting style and not make up sh1t along the way.(She has a special that heals. Very original and emphasize Capo style 100%. Fail)

I'm not against Capo. I like it in Tekken but on 2D it's retarded due to you not being able to actually DO capo which is composed of using a lot of feints or "trickery" in your terms(which I'm suspecting you of not evening knowing capo) and utilize the circle around your opponent.
2D doesn't allow that.

She's lots of tools. Her target combos send opponents to corners with one or two connects, she's got two command overheads, her slide/normal sweep, her air target combo resets, etc. You just have to know how to use her.

And 2D does let you do all that stuff, hell... I catch people with the meia lua all the time and begin my combos :D.

Street Fighter martial arts are entirely exaggerated, that is, unless you've all really seen 10 foot high jumps into Dive Kicks in TKD or sliding ten yards, tripping along the way, and then belly flopping in Turkish Oil Wrestling.
Oh, and feinting and trickery is very possible to display in 2d, they just didn't go that route with Elena. Because it's a video game and it doesn't have to be true to life.

I don't understand why people have such a problem with Elena, I've played street fighter for years and I can't think of a character quite like her. There isn't even another practitioner of African Martial arts in Street Fighter nor another outright African. Most tease trailers only show a certain character. There is a reason why I believed this trailer actually hint that Rolento might be in the game.
#1 hint showed boots. Sean does not wear boots
#2 hint showed a hand. This one is debatable because Sean use fingerless gloves.
#3 hint showed a leather belt. Sean use a jujitsu belt.
#4. hint showed a hand with a better angle. These are not Sean's gloves at all.
#5. hint showed a pic of Rolento's Alpha 2 stage.
#6 hint showed a pic of the stage from the parry bonus stage in 3rd strike. This is probably a reference about Metro City.

Yeah because this game is about balls and not about characters fighting each other. On the Teaser wee have a character using boots, gloves and a belt on a yellow costume. Doesn't matter. What really matters is the copy/paste of a screenshot of Sean's ball on the pixel 3rd Strike Stage. LOL That's what they are going for on this teaser... God. People get trolled so easly these days. some of these comments.....is school back in session yet? Aside from that, I'm guessing that the basketball court was built in metro city at he site of rolento's stage from alpha 2. Maybe they couldn't get proper funding (hating mayor) and the stopped building and they ended up with the court. There is even a random piece of metal poking out from the brick behind the hoop. Plus you can see the a skyscraper that looks like the one from the top of rolento's stage from A2. Either way, I don't care, we'll see soon enough and I'll just go from there.
Either way, the "leak list" is still valid and I hope it stays that way. I hope they'll show Juri and Dictator soon.

200% sure the 1st 1 was heihachi, now unless they completely remodeled sean's design, the 2nd 1 is most definitely alex i think they only showed the basketball 4 either 2 things, either 2 show a possible new stage, or 2 show that the character will come from 3rd strike, or both. and if you think about it, the only commando type lookin character n that game was alex, but this is just my opinion

People who don't like Elena are probably just butt hurt that their favorite character didn't make it in. Elena's play style is absolutely unique as a zoning AND poke-oriented mixup character. (Sim is not mixup oriented, just a keep-away zoner.) People who compare her to Chun are those that never really played 3rd strike. In any case, Chun is a *charge character* in SF4, nothing like her 3s iteration.

Check out the tekken one frist at around 18 seconds in the thrid shot of the fist is wrapped all the way heihachi are only half rapped. So that one fist is most likely belongs to another fighter probably Bruce. We all saw sean stage clear as day the rest of the photos most likely belong to rolento.

For those of you haven't played 3s, Elena is called Chun-Lite because that is exactly what she is. A footsie character with a couple of decent normals that are worse than Chun's, a kara-throw that is good but worse than Chun's, a hit confirm (that doesn't hit low) into super that is worse than Chun's, and she has some tricky overheads. Still a cool character that should be put in another game. Also, none of you people would be complaining about Sean if you played him in New Generation or Second Impact so shut up about it. You don't know how Capcom will change the character for the game. He doesn't have to be like he is in 3rd Strike.
Don't worry, Elena won't be in this game. why would she? There's sooo many better characters to choose from from SF3.
When you think of SF3 you think Dudley, Alex, Yun, Makoto, Ibuki, Urien, Q, etc... Elena is like, the very last on the list of iconic SF3 characters. Just because some idiots are vocal on EventScrubs doesn't mean Elena is a highly requested character.

I dont believe the whole chun-lite shtick. 3s was just imbalanced as hell so people had to gravitate toward 3 characters to be competitive. but anyway, even if one does believe that, chun in 3s != chun in sf4/sfxt. she's back to being a charger. chun's 3s strengths didn't take in sf4+; supers aren't that important anymore, among many other things.

So no, I don't get the mentality of "this character took that character's potential space!" In the end it's still a character preference, and we don't know if that character EVER intended to be put in the game. Fans are getting more of a say in that, but it can't be (and hopefully never will be) COMPLETELY up to the fans.
I look at it as more an opportunity to get a new take on a character we haven't seen much of (or in some cases, a new character completely). Elena, Q, Urien... sure, I'm cool with all of those. Just as cool as I am about Ken, Chun, Julia, Kazuya, etc., making it in.

Before u reply think consider this. When capcom wanted to reboot the franchise what did they do? Move forward to sf4 with the sf3 cast? NO, the went back to the world warriors. they knew that the bulk of the fans dont care about the 3s cast. The proof is in the pudding.
Capcom HAS been doing more than 2 character reveals (Its always been 4 at the least), but also note the fact that some characters have official tag partners, which has so far, been 2 people who have some sort of relationship. Ibuki's partner is most likely Makoto or Elena, since all 3 of them are friends. Kuma's is probably Heihachi, since Kuma is his pet.
I don't see how Rolento could be Ibuki's partner since they don't know each other, so I imagine the teased fighters aren't the tag partners of the current fighters (if anything those tag partners may be revealed without any teaser trailers, similar to Poison and Yoshi).

The reason no one used the uniquer harder characters is cause Capcom is weird with balancing..as in..The hardest to use characters sometimes have no reward....Then you have Vanilla Sagat for example, who was insanely strong and took no brains to use at online lvl (online lvl at least) so why really try 50x harder for less results?
CC just needs to make more characters like Viper, who is as strong as the player is instead of Chars like Gen..who suck but are also insanely hard to use. (Viper really is the perfect char. imo in that regard) In Vanilla I think most braindead chars were top tier ._.

A more recent version of ST would've been 3S. If they wanted to appeal to the younger generation, they would use 3S roster as the foundation but instead use the roster the younger generation's Father/Mother would know.
The only character the younger would most definitely know would be Ryu,Ken,Chun,Guile. They would not know Rose, Adon, Sakura(Otakus yes), Dee Jay, E.Honda right off the bat.

First of, that's not a leak list, that's someone's wish list. This was confirmed a while ago.
Secondly, there were like, seven MvC3 "leaked list" before there was the solid one Lupinko leaked, and even then that was only six of the cast members.
I love how ninja stated that capcom saw elena was "broken" and not worthy to bring back, however i remember before ssf4 dropped, both seth and Christian Svensson both stated she barely missed the cut. So yeah...glad Ninja, a capcom employee setted this arguement /:|

one of the things I never understood is how folks assume a character is gonna play just like their last iteration. I think the only exception was Yun and they did that one on purpose.
But i've heard things like Megaman sucked so he can't be in the next game or Sean sucks so he should'nt be in this game ect. ect. It's all about the fighting system. I've always been a believer that the system they are programmed and fitted under is what makes the character. If you put Remy in SFIV's current system, he'd be as strong if not stronger than Guile. Yes he sufferes in SF3.
Just something to reflect on thats all. It's been what...3 years since SFIV or so and people still don't get it. I say let Sean or Elena in.

that leaked list was said to have originated from lupinko who than told somebody on unity, who than made a chart, who than turned around and said it wasnt from lupinko and that it was just a wish list. now the strange part is lupinko ,as far i know, has neither confirmed or denied that leaked list, which is strange because lupinko came out immediately to deconfirm a leak list last year,where trolls were using his name to make a fake leak list, so this could mean its real or it could not. but on that leak list it has heihachi and kuma as partners so according to the teases that would make rolento as ibuki partner and there by deconfirm the list. ether way how bout we just wait 14 more days to find out ibuki partner to know the fate of that list before we act like a bunch of hillbillies and jump the gun

FYI, Kuma and Heihachi being partners makes sense and should have been completely expected. Kuma is Heihachi's pet/bodyguard/sparring partner.
Rolento's partner will likely be Sodom. Even without looking at the leaked list, Sodom was hinted at in the last cinematic trailer they put out and it would make sense for him to be Rolento's partner. All the pairings make sense one way or another. Putting Ibuki and Rolento together makes zero sense...So yeah, they're not partners.
What people aren't taking into account is the fact that Capcom always does 4 reveals at a time. So it's still entirely possible that Ibuki's ACTUAL partner will also be shown off at TGS.

Sean has a fast walk speed and dash. Has high, low and throw mixup, has a crack kick like cody's which can hop over most low attacks. His biggest flaws are hard hit confirms and none of his DP's are invincible other than EX.

Here is also another thing to consider. So far character reveals come in fours. Julia Chang, Cammy, Sagat, and Hworang. Then the next set of trailers went on to be Dhalsim, Poison, Steve Fox, and Yoshimitsu. Then we got Hugo, Ibuki, Raven, and Kuma. The trailers are setup so that we get one team completed and one team only halfed revealed. That goes for both sides. So IMO at TGS it would go like this: Ibuki + ???, and Rolento. Kuma + Heihachi, and ??? the Tekken side.

For starters, Jin only wears pants. Nothing on his upper body. Only Heihachi has those attributes. Try to play Tekken and see for yourself first, if you got the skills for it.
