The saga continues with more training for Canada Cup! Mike shows the world his expert Ryu play while Gootecks levels up his Ibuki. Mirror-matches, bad-match ups and close matches abound!

Sooooooooo nice to see some gameplay from them again.
LOL i love watching them play too damn funny! i know how he feels when he missed that punish but hey it happens! lol
Can't believe anyone actually thinks that Ibuki is meant to be played as a keepaway character with her pathetic kunais as the only projectiles. Ibuki is obviously not the character for Gootecks, he's wasting his time if he thinks he can win with her without applying relentless pressure on his opponent everything he scores a knockdown.
I agree with #9, gootecks should play juri IMO. It's one of the best "stay away from me" character, she has impressive footsies game and many AA plus air to air juggle stuff.
Great lame character, Juri was made for him :p.
Juri is most certainly not lame! She is very under appreciated!
Watch some of this guy's videos for some fun Juri play

As with rushing your opponent down, playing "lame" is a matter of preference. It has nothing to do with being scared.
Winning is the only goal. As long as no one is breaking the game, there really shouldn't be any discrepancy about how you accomplish it.
Ibuki's style does not focus much on keep away. I think Gootecks should invest time in another character, specifically one that can zone well. He should try Sagat :)
In gootecks defense, I think he means she should be played lame until the she gets an opening for a knockdown. Everytime he got a knockdown the vortex was on. When they escaped he kinda backed off and started the jump back kunai until he saw another opening. I think this style could work though Juri would be a better option
@13 By lame they mean Juri's playstyle not that she sucks or something.
until she* .. man I wish there was an edit button lol
@21
He OCV'd three teams last time he made an appearance. I think he'll be okay.
I'd like to see Gootecks pick up a character like Sagat i wonder why he doesn't he seems to fit his style perfectly. Only if there was Urien i guess :/
Each time Mike said "WAIT FOR IT" my video had to buffer xD. Though I don't think Ibuki is the right choice for Gootecks, especially with his play-style.
Look at all the hate in the room. Entertaining actually. There are times where you do have to play keepaway with Ibuki. It's obvious she doesn't have the best keepaway strategy in the game, but she can do it. You can't just have an all out offense against characters, such as the grapplers of the game, unless you're really that confident in your rush down skills. Gootecks did good for a character he doesn't play with much. Stay free haters.
I've mained Juri since SSF4 was first released, and I only play with her against grapplers, for everyone else I rushdown. Am I playing her incorrectly or something? And I agree with Jasonlee, to a certain extent.
@27 *I only play lame against grapplers with her is what I meant to say.
Cut Gootecks some slack guys, we all know he's one of the lamest players in the business lol.
But seriously, I'm surprised he doesn't go for characters that are specifically designed to be lame, like Sim or something. I mean, rush down is definitely not his style, so why not play to his own strengths as a player? I think he'd do way better using true keep away characters.
PS, I was actually pretty impressed with Mike's Ryu against Sim. Wouldn't mind seeing him pull out Ryu more often.
#32 Mike's Ryu was awful only reason he won was because the Dhalsim player was even worse. What on earth was impressive about his Ryu was it the mashing dp and dropped combos?
14:00 = Best part of the entire vid.
