This is getting a bit out of fighting game territory, but Capcom has released the trailer from the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney movie they're working on in Japan. This is pretty over the top, and awesome. With with Phoenix Wright's inclusion into Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and rabid popularity, this may be something you want to check out. It shows off several recreated scenes from the first game.

LMAO looks like Ultra David should have consulted this Japanese movie studio custom department with regards to a decent wig... Ultra David will play Phoenix Wright in the American production of this film

Just saw this through an article on IGN. As a huge fan of the Ace Attorney games and one who has played every single one...I am greatly excited for this and a hopefully amazing translation (subbed) from the same talented guys who translated the games.
Some people may complain that this looks just way too Cosplay-ish and not organic. I say screw it, I'd take an accurate portrayal of these ridiculous characters, even with all japanese actors, over realistic lawyers anyday. This is gonna be over the top and I can't think of any other way to do it.
Oh and if they ever make it to a film of the 3rd game, I would die of happiness. The best moments of the series come from the last case of that game. Godot ftw

WOW, i can see all the cases from the first game, minus Turnabout Samurai and the last one.

Thats wicked, but whats with the futuristic holographic evidence?? LOL. Still that looked pretty true! Especially the boat scene with Edgeworth!

This is probably gonna be a ridiculously good movie for the sole reason that the director is Takeshi Miike. From the looks of these clips, it's gonna be a fun watch.

Glad they're taking the story from the first game and not putting their own, stupid Hollywood spin on it.

Though it's originated from Japan, I'd much rather see it with American actors, because... well, it takes place in America.

Also, I'd love to see the actor for Damon Gant!

In the Japanese version of the game, the setting is in Japan...
Didn't you find it weird having an old Japanese village full of spirit mediums in America?

You can see the mafia lady from Turnabout Samurai near the end. As well as the blue badger from Case 5 "Rise from the ashes". Though Im not sure if that means anything for Case 5 since Blue Badger may just be an easter egg.

I think the weirdest part is the British accent for all the characters in the NA version of PS2 game "Siren". Every character in there was Japanese, yet they all spoke with perfect British accent. Maddening, I tell ya.

Man the US has some of the most ignorant idiots ever, you won't see people asking others to speak their language but the Americans always does it in the chat when there's a nonenglish stream.

Well, English is the most widely spoken language...but yeah I've seen many ignorant Americans. On the other hand, I've seen many Japanese people who aren't native to English striving to help out those who demand English or ask for translations. But I think that's cool, because they want to know what's going on, right?

@20 "well, it takes place in America". Please die.
And the name "Phoenix Wright" irritates me ;).

"for the Japanese versions, this city is somewhere in Japan, while the North American and European localization places the games in Los Angeles, California."
