Awesome flippin' match, winner was definitely deserving.
I wonder if Justin Wong will reconsider who's the best Fei-Long player in the world after watching this.
I disagree with you saying Mago is an underachiever. ANd I don't think I need to say why. But I do agree it doesn't mean he is the better Feilong. In mirror matches it all boils down to knowing your character and not making mistakes because he can do everything you can do. Both are great players but Mago got the better of him...besides most mirrors in top play can go either way period.
Wonders why people like #11 make comments like that when it says 21k+ people were watching? (._.)
@9, Mago was 2nd to Daigo in Revelations. He was 7th at season's beatings and 9th at EVO. (So much for ever making top 8)-REV&SBVI. I understand that he is not up to expectations lately but use some good facts to complement your arguments.
Yeah cause 21 thousand people lock into a stream to watch players play a game they don't care about. Good one.
"The show ended with 75,989 attendees and 75,281 comments" taken directly from "beast blog" so yeah people most def care about this game. way more viewers than evo...
i love how 99% percent of people with negative comments couldnt do anything against either of these 2 players or many top players for that matter. lots of people love to complain and whine about AE and but reality is they still watch/comment on these videos AND know enough about the game to try to complain. They'd get bodied by any top tourney scene player then blame the game or some stupid stuff like that, obviously the game cant be that unbalanced or bad, or all these internet tough guys would be winning tourneys instead of posting on here ...for real use Yun or Yang or Fei and beat Mago, Fuudo or any top player for that matter, until then just keep posting negative comments on eventhubs, go practice, or get a life...sad how people really love to hate when they dont have a real name or face out there.
To be honest, I would rather watch Mago's sagat than his overplayed Fei Long. Actually, I would rather see Sako's Ibuki over all top Japanese players. His Ibuki has precise insane executions.
Anyone remember back in Vanilla when everyone thought Mago was the best player in the world. Then people realized Sagat was broken as hell and that was the only reason Mago was #1. They nerfed Sagat and Mago hasn't won anything since lmao what a fraud.
@25
Because Mago started competing in the FCG with vanilla SFIV. Stay the free stream monster that you are.
lol ur an idiot #32...1 day views have NEVER ovr 76k views lol stop smoking son....it barely topped 25k
SF4 is the best fighting game by a mile, dont feed trolls anymore please, if they make negative comments let them do it. They thrive of others frustration and are usually the type of person that contributes little or nothing to life, so just forget them. I know for a fact there are 100k s of big fans of SF4 all across the world and appreciate coming to sites like these where we can glimpes the world of high level play.No mirror match is exceptionally exciting, but for users of fei long this is an exceptional experience imo . Regardless of "tier" positions ( which matters very little for 99% of players and yet people never stop crying about it), this is an exhibition of skill.
This match did not only prove who knew the mirror matchup better, it also proved what a bunch of ppl are in denial about, that Mago's the top fei long in the planet. Like it or not it's the way it is. Fuudo has talent there's no doubt about it, but it was really bad when he said he was lazy and liked to win easy so he picked fei long. He got good with the character because well, he's a good player, it doesn't mean the character's easy. Fei long has some bad matchups and unless you main him you won't know what a struggle it is to have to deal with certain characters without having to take a lot of risks.
@#35. Those that had negative comments about the match are the same ones complaining and whining to CC for balance changes and once v.2012 arrives they will keep losing to the same characters and will whine even more. Ver.2012 already looks ridiculous, but ill adapt. I'm a fei long main after all :).
Really #38, really. Jeez, I think its time to stop reading comments
Anyone making negative comments about either of these players does not have an ounce of skill.
This mirror was exceptional, showing how important, execution, spacing, and footsies are. I loved it and I main Zangief.
It's the intricate details that make the game and that's what you must look for.
I just wish mago would win something big. If you've watched his past tourneys you'll notice he plays different. When he's out of japan he makes a considerable amout of mistakes and seems nervous. When he's in japan, be it in godsgarden or topanga tv his execution, gameplay are exceptional. Personally I blame this on not having a solid stand to place the stick. In the US and EU he's forced to play with the stick on his lap where it can sway from side to side widening the margin for error whereas in japan they give him a table or even an arcade machine to play on.
Call me what you want. But what I said may not be far from the truth, I speak from experience
Both players played so well but in the end, Mago proved to be a bit too much for Fuudo. In fact, I predicted that Mago was going to win 10-7 but he won it by a huge margin lol. However, mirror matches are not easy at all and having 2 top players facing each other and using the same character is so hard. This is because they both know the strengths and weaknesses of the character so well that they have to be very cautious and the player like Mago would try to make Fuudo miss or whiff a move so that Mago can attack. I know this from my experience.
@11
Translation of your comment:
"I f-ckin HATE you Capcom. Why did you not make my favorite character be the top-tier. WHY!!!! WHAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Hey my prediction was correct. He did win! And WOW at the number of attendees plus viewers! And first btw:)
