I was pretty good with captain when I built my team around him. But now it looks like he can hold his own. That invincible cartwheel and shield otg is going to put him over wolverine. Plus he has double jump and his charging stars can get through projectiles. In a game where keep away is buffed cap might be the go to guy for rush down.

Captain looks solid. Prolly the best he's ever been in any game. Anyway, im anxiously waiting for Rocket Raccoon. My hopes for RR: I hope he's a great zoner, With tools like Arthur except super amazing better mobility. I just hope that he will be good enough to shut the haters up.
In the comic RR had a lot of different guns and grenades. One big thing I hope they implement is his Jet-pack. In guardians of the galaxy he could only use it in short burst though. It would also be cool if he could call in groot to help him in his specials or super moves. Since him and groot are so close.
I feel like RR is gonna be a something in the ball park of Chris, Im just not excited about him. I do hope he is a kick ass character tho.
Anyway, these changes seem to really make captain america strong. Invincible roll with the right assist is gonna be a nightmare. Could he arguably have the best OTG in game with it being full screen? So excited
Finally, Captain America gets his just due. Not sure why his double jump was taken out of vanilla, i guess they left it out cause they knew they were gonna add it in utlimate. I've been maining Cap since Marvel Super Heroes, damn i cant wait.
I wouldn't be surprised if the reason that they didn't put Cap's double jump in Vanilla mvc3 is because they just plain forgot to add it by the time the game came out lol.
I'm not trolling, a comment that usually preludes a troll, I'm aware, but stay with me here. Why do people care about Caps buffs? I've heard them say it's because he's low tier, but a lot of low tiers did (or didn't) get buffs and no-one is/was particularly vocal about that, personally I'd like to see Felicia and Morrigan get some significant buffs.
A lot of people also say he's their favourite character, which I'm not going to argue, it's personal preference, but it seems disproportionate to what one would expect. Is it down to Jingoism? I dunno, lemme know.
The reason people disproportionately care about Cap is because in the comics he's a relatively big deal. His in game capabilities don't match up to his in comic stature. In the comics he is the undisputed leader of the avengers and is a top tier hand to hand fighter. The man is followed by gods and aliens and in a one on one spidey gets trounced even with super agility and spider sense. In game on the other hand he's low-mid tier at best. Now in UMVC3 he appears like he will be the fearsome hand to hand fighter he should have always been.
