Updated: The Xbox Live release of the v1.02 patch was also made available.1) Improved YouTube video quality (for PS3 only). This makes the videos viewable at 360p resolution, up from 240p.
2) Added the ability to unassign “3-punches” and “3-kicks” on the Controls screen.
3) Re-enabled the option to play with a human partner in Training mode.
4) Changed the "recording" feature in training mode. This feature now allows you to practice against a dummy, which repeats your recorded inputs.
5) Fixed a bug that would cause an a negative level value to be displayed on the main menu after hitting the level cap.
6) Fixed a bug that would cause a crash when repeatedly pressing "Confirm" after viewing a Match from a downloaded Match Pack.
7) Added support for Music Pack DLC.

Serious question: Do people still play 3SO? Whenever I sign in, it takes forever to even get a match.
@#5 people do play it, i find ranked matches within seconds. What's your NAT?
The matchmaking and netcode are still garbage. YT uploads on PS3 are slightly better but it's not a HUGE improvement.
F U Capcom and Iron Galaxy.

Yes, but Capcom should have done better community support to get new players like myself to like 3S more. An official tutorial, or video or such would be very helpful.
Alot of new players joined after SF4's release. This offering is aimed at those people, as well as the old veterans. But Capcom did not do enough to teach 3S - to say that it is completely different from SF4 is an understatement. Maybe many new players left b/c they expected SF4 and were dissapointed.
The only reason I still play is b/c I was fortunate to meet a 3S player (online) who is patient enough to practice w/ me and teach me 3S fundamentals.
3S 101
Dont spam because they can parry
There are alot more UNSAFE moves compared to SF4
There is no leniency. You have to do the motion!
I don't know what everyone's problem with this game is. It's really awesome. A few friends of mine even sold their copy of SSF4 after playing this. I can't go back after playing this game either, at least until 2012, even then I'll play the hell out of third strike online
@9 who the hell does stupid shortcuts playing sf4? anyone who knows how to play does the motion u moron, OMG U HAVE TO DO THE MOTION ITS SO TECHNICAL! shut up
theres nothing in sf3 thats more technical then c. viper
@Spacecacti, I'll tell you what my problem is. My problem is that Twelve's X.C.O.P.Y. voice isn't distorted! They RUINED the game, dude. What's the point of X.C.O.P.Y. mirror matches if you can't taunt your opponent with an autotuned voice?
@12
First of all that's a lie and second of all doing the motion without shortcuts is very hard if you play SF4 because you take advantage of them without even knowing it. Actually doing an SGGK or any of the high-level option selects in 3s is harder than anything in SF4. Maybe you should kind of play the game before you pass judgement on it.
@GreedyB: I most certainly DO take it personally. There is only ONE way to resolve this issue, we must settle our differences in the arena of 3SO! By means of Twelve mirror match, of course. Super Art 3 is required.

This is how all future grievances on Eventhubs should be settled.
#12 is right. Who actually relies on shortcuts for execution anyway? Only reason SF4 series had shortcuts to begin with was to make the learning curve a bit more lenient for new comers which btw needs to stay away from the SF community if all they have to offer is unnecessary complaining..
@24
same here. I HAVE NEVER SEEN a green ping on my 3s matchmaking. Also wish to have a filter option for this.
It's rare but I have seen green ping's for me. It's the same quality match as a yellow.
My NAT is Green but even when I split to Yellow NAT I still got the occasional green ping.
@12 if you honestly think playing with C. Viper play is more difficult t you have no idea about the game I actually laughed out loud when I heard that 3S is leaps and bounds more technical than SF4 and I love both it's just fact
3s lag with is very hard to play especially given how GGPO compensates for lag. A lot of times the game will run and then adjust for the lag a split second later, which means you will believe you hit someone, see it, follow it up with something unsafe, and then realize that the opponent actually blocked. I don't know why you guys keep getting not yellow. The majority of my matches are Yellow latency and that is basically the exact same as Green latency.
@29
You can change the lag settings so it's more like how other fighting games deal with lag, but I prefer GGPOs way personally. Also, I definitely notice a big difference between green latency and yellow latency.
Anyway, this update is out on Xbox Live as well as PSN I believe.
I didn't know that. I like the way GGPO handles lag over others, but it is very frustrating when you do links into super only to realize that the hit confirm you did and confirmed was actually blocked.
@12 & 18
The majority of high level players frequently abuse input leniency, you morons. Part of what makes Daigo's anti-air game so good is that he SRKs with the DF, D, DF shortcut to stay crouched until startup, essentially halving his hurtbox to avoid trades with the opponent's jump-in.
This is why you all should love 3SO

you all are crazy. i love 3SO. i basically never run into any connections below yellow and never deal with lag. you all must have crap connections.
AND TO HELL A REBALANCE PATCH!!! i use akuma and id much rather learn the match ups instead and bitch and whine. that means gettin owned by lots of chuns and yuns but il'll be worth it when i can start whoppen em.
I must have won the lottery. I get green lights about 90% of the time and I don't have troubles finding ranked matches. I live in so cal, so that might have something to do with it.
I've played this game in the past, but really didn't think much of it. I've played sf4 and marvel 3 extensively and 3soe is now my favorite. Parry is teh best!
Also, even if you don't intentionally use short-cuts in sf4 it most certainly affects how you execute your moves. Your inputs become more sloppy. You rely on it and don't even know it. Short-cuts are used by many players and they REALLY benefit online play. Using short-cuts just makes sense in a game where they are available.
People hate on err-ting :(
@8
I really don't understand what's so hard about 3S that people complain about... You tap forward to parry, hold back to block, and attack. What's so hard about it?
Honestly, my motto for this game is, if you can't parry, don't even bother trying except for fireballs.
I have always found the "this game is too hard" a piss-poor excuse. Are people these days so pathetic that they need to be spoon-fed? If people are turned off by this game because "it's too hard", that's their problem for not having the patience to take the time to learn it.
FIX the damn online dammit... If this games strong point is supposed to be the online gaming then fix it!!!!!!. Its incredible how games like MvsC2 and AE have more content and run better with lower connections than this game... Also with the patch b4 this one things got worst, now you enter a green circle room just to find out everyone has orange.......
I am GROOOOT!
