ugh, even Daigo getting a Happy Birthday builds no hype for this game. glad that Wolverine is nerfed, bring on Ultimate! Better zoning, mash moves r back, more balanced roster, cant wait. Team Avengers FTW.
I'm suprised that Daigo still uses Ryu in AE.I thought he dropped him. For marvel, I hope he plays the game more. I really want to see him be good in marvel and he can do the advanced combos. I didn't expect him to even transition his sf4 skills to marvel. Nice gameplay anyway.
@3, don't forget about parrying, something Daigo and the Japanese know thing or two about :0
@1&4
For SSF4 Daigo let the other players choose either Yun, Akuma, or Ryu.
Most of them chose to play against Yun because they want to play against Daigo's best.
They played something like 64 matches straight and Daigo lost 3 and had 1 double ko.
Good job and much thanks to Kuwait for this great event.
its nice to see some high level play from that area of the world. They should leave the game sounds in though. kinda weird not hearing the sounds even though i like the music, well until the mvc 2 music came on.
Wolverine, Dante and Akuma? And people say Daigo Tier whores?
Daigo is supposedly maining Akuma but from what I've seen his Akuma is terrible.
@5&6 unfortunatly parrying is not a part of the main vs mode. But instead a part of heroes and heralds mode. So dont expect much of a boost of that mechanic in helping japan up its marvel game. Still as much as I love me some Mavhel the reason i think it pales in comparison to SSFIV in terms of popularity is it lacks any form of international competition. America dominates it completely so it be great to see some international competition giving US players a run for their money in Ultimate with some high level competition. Thats always whats so hype about SF for me.
I kinda feel that Daigo's Ryu will always be more solid, as he fits his play style more than Yun IMO.
you guys are a bunch of blind bats if you cant see he is holding back. there are some good players but he is holding back. he is paid for being there what good would it do if he just mopped the floor with them and left think they would want him coming back ?
My god that Ryu was amazing, he made it damn near impossible to get in and I could feel immense pressure from his play, his footsie is definitely on point. And @19, as the others said, standing jab at that distance(especially in the corner) shuts down many of Sagat's options, mainly tiger knees. You should look up match-ups before criticizing pros.
@23
You should actually comprehend his post before criticizing his post. If you actually did read into it, a couple of posters beforehand said Daigo was holding back in the matches. Then #19 made a sarcastic remark on how if Daigo really was holding back, he wouldn't spam jab.
@3
I don't care how they nerfed Logan, I've been playing him since MVC1 and I'm not gonna stop now. I've seen footage of him being played at a high level in UMVC3, and he's still godlike IMO. So it's all good. Let the haters hate.
Daigo's MVC and sf4AE Akuma play are so bad. Why do you guys keep putting up vids of this fraud?
The more and more i see pro's use Ryu, the more and more i hate that boring character :(
Seen as Daigo will probably drop "broken" Yun when he gets fixed in AE2012. i would love to see him use someone more interesting like Oni or even Akuma
Some daigo fanboys making it sound as if there is no way daigo would ever lose, ooh he was paid that's why, Really guys? I mean he lost real badly in evo against poongko, also a PERFECT, so please stop saying this nonsense, face it, he lost because there were good players there, he said it himself.
daigo vs tyrant reminds me of how much i enjoyed watching vanilla sf4. just the fact that he jumps like 2 times in the entire match makes it so much more interesting. i much prefer seeing daigo play ryu, and i honestly think that in a longer set (5 games+) he is way better off with him than with yun.
i wonder who diago will main in V.2012, he seems unsure atm
