Why do Americans feel they have to chant USA USA when they win something.
Makes me sick to my stomach.
@3: I though the same.. this is so strange...for what it's call a "community"
I think fighting game is a man against a man, that's it.
Another thing, when I play online, only american taunt of the time their victory... (even if they win in a cheap way, with cheap caracter..)
I Can't understand the lack of modesty sometimes...
@4 if you watched that vid and didnt think the people in it were a community then idk what you would call a community.
As for our American cousins this isnt just in sf this is in all things they do and i think its a difference in cultures which is no bad thing.
Great vid well made
this video was pretty awesome. definitely put me in a good mood
(How come this wasn't on Ehubs, or maybe I just missed it? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DvcSdx...)
@zero_x
if u like the music, the band is called anamanaguchi. They have an awesome trademark 8-bit sound to them.
@Hope_Cigarettes
It's definitely not just us. I can't remember exactly, but I think it was in that Australian Tournament, Poongko won the tournament and started waving a body sized Korean flag around. I think chanting is the least of your worries.
@13
I think that also happened at EVO. And the Japanese? They don't chant, they just do interviews and tell everyone "we are the best" lol.
So who cares? Everyone is guilty of the same crap, but only the Americans are Dreaded Bastards?
I hear this BS on this site all the time, and as an American gamer I'm sick of it! I personally have MAD respect for Players/People from ALL Countries!
Does America have it's problems? Sure. Are your Countries any better? Take a look in the mirror.
Cheers.
U.S.A! U.S.A.! Poongko and the koreans did it. So do the Japanese. It's a competitive game. People are naturally going to choose sides.
Next time I hope U.S.A. Pull a Poongko and start waiving our flag around.

Because they are proud of their country. In every big sports event, if its national or international, you hear the anthem, in big shool events, big events in the city. In movies and everywhere, everyone tells you how grade of a country the United States are. And obviously people believe it if they hear it often enough. And its a very good thing, because you fight for a country that you are proud of, you believe in that country, and you do something for that country.
Im from germany, and here its nothing like that, and people arent proud of Germany, they dont like their gouverment, and they are bickering about it every chance they get, if the gouverment deserves it or not.
And what makes you sick about it? Its not like the foreign players get alienated or something. In fact the americans really seem to love it to get the chance to play with and watch others play the international "Stars". And its actually a big sign of respect to the japanese players, that the americans go crazy once someone actually does good against the japanese player.
Funny people say they hate the chant. I saw the Japanese clapping , even laugh and infiltration for Ricky during this. Also all of us were out to have fun and enjoy epic matches. Every AE match was always down the the last match last round. At one point we had Uryo vs. Momochi and everyone was cheering for Uryo. People cheered for whomever because it was hype and fun.
Also it doesn't hurt to trash talk here and there though. Rivalry is what people need to bring out the best in them. Look at Itagaki bashing the Tekken series.
HERE WE GO! OOH-OO-OOH-OOH-OO-OOH!
lmao that was too funny when he did it during marlin pies whole combo. too good.
Awesome :D
