Several community members took it upon themselves to compile images and information about the cards available in Heroes and Heralds mode for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. This is not a complete list, though.

Below you'll find images sorted by rank and also, after the jump is a listing of cards available in this mode along with some additional details — with a few explaining what these specific characters offer.

As for the cards, I'm definitely putting a parry card on my team. That thing comes in handy.

Idk about the others though. Projectile Invincibility seems good. But that Jump increase just seems kinda pointless since you can just super jump.

THANOS REIGNS! Took long enough for him to make an appearance given the nature of the game and style. Although still not a playable character atleast the mad titan comes with the S ranked parry card.

Also in the first demo video, the Nightcrawler card is used and it changes Novas dash to a sort of teleport. This may let you dash 'through' opponents to land behind them.

Im glad Capcom didnt put megaman in the game. because megaman fans are homosexual robot penis mongrels. Making me hate a character I thought was ok because his games had cool music. A LOT of characters that were originals from MvC1 and 2 didnt make it to 3. So just eat a fat one and gargle the juice that comes with it.

@35 U do realize that Venom(Flash Thompson) is now an army brat in the Marvel Universe that is more lyk a sucky cross between Spider-Man and Deadpool don't U.

Eddie Brock(the venom from MvC2) is represented in the cards as Anti-Venom. And I don't much care for Anti-Venom at all actually, I kinda wished they'd given the spot 2a good character in Marvel, instead of a wack a$$ plot device.

Im kinda sad Gambit and Green Goblin got cards, since there R many that R far more deserving. Lyk 4instance NAMOR, F4, SpeedBall, Ms. Marvel, Spider Woman, Luke Cage, or heck even War Machine.
But I'm pretty sure they'll B sum dlc cards so its okay. (And Sabretooth & Nightcrawler... U guys deserved Ur cards. [R.I.P.])

If you look even closer you will notice that is Ryu from Breath of Fire and not the Ryu from Street Fighter.

I wish more Breath of Fire characters were in the game.

As a mega man fan i still doubt he will be dlc just because they really could have used him as an easy way to promote this game like at nycc. Putting him on banners to lure his fanbase that aren't fighting game fans just check it out and buy it just for him. Phoenix Wright is real popular and I've talked to some that said they will get it just to use him and they hate fighting games. If this game sells well, im sure they will release another version of the game instead of just making pocket change releasing MM for $5. they might as well repackage the game again and sell for $40.

As a person, I think Capcom is holding out hope for their blue bomber to appear in another crossover game. With word of another smash bros. possibly on the way, perhaps they've made a deal with nintendo. One that this time they actually plan to remember.

Does anyone remember the debacle from the mid 2000's? Resident Evil, V.Joe, and Killer 7?

Supposedly Megaman had a spot in Smash, but that was predicated on the condition that capcom get 5 gamecube exclusives. But of the 3 released that made money, capcom ported those games to PS2 [and beyond].

Perhaps as a sign of solidarity, capcom has promised not to feature megaman or honor and exclusive deals on nintendo consoles.

I hope I am wrong however. To me it just wouldn't make any sense

Really dig the artwork on the cards and a cool mode in it's own this totally reminds me of card fighters DS I really am actually hoping for there to be mass cards cuz this is looking to be straight dope one thing I didn't like about MVC3 was they didnt have artwork at the character select screen instead they used in game models so this is nice to get alot of artwork especially of characters we don't get in the game

I know all of you MM fans are going to go nuts over him only being a card, but the highest wanted marvel character, gambit, isn't a card (hint hint). So there is a big possibility that he will be in the game as dlc. Or even better would be if they made all the cards into mvc4 whenever that will come out.

Damn it. At SCR this year, I asked Seth Killian what it would take to get a Breath of Fire character in the game. He told me to "ask him again next year," and I got all hopeful. Note that this was before Ultimate was officially announced. If this is what he meant, I am more than a little disappointed. 100% not getting Ultimate now.

Seeing this as pretty much a disconfirmation list, and considering that so, so many of the cards are requested characters / fn favorites / characters rumored to be in builds... and not a single one out of 60 is one of the roster of 50 playable characters...

X - Disconfirmed. Classic or Volnutt? Who knows? I stopped caring a long time ago.

Draken card can easily be guess. It stops your red bar recovery. (the icons look like it)(and one of his claws was cloaked to stop healing)
