@3 "Ok, check this out right. It's Celebrities houses...at night!"
They could have been a little more creative with the stages, instead of recycled ones at different points in time.
I'm not gonna rage too hard over the stages.
But, wait... Why aren't Nova and RR next to each other on the select screen. Doesn't that ruin...everything?
I say it's suspicious, but it have 9 new stages. Well, I guess that we don't have to see the reveal after all.
Why is there a black censor bar near the bottom of the first two screenshots?
@12
that's what i thought at first... but there it is clearly on the stage select.
it's a beautiful stage they all are, but make it black and white, add rain just seems...
and i think that censor bar is an information scroll akin to the bar during Tekken 6 Loading matches
If you look at the character select screen, you can see that all the characters that belong to their respected series are aligned vertically. you can see ryu,chun,akuma, and viper aligned for street fighter. Nemesis, Chris, and Wesker for Resident evil series. Vergil, Dante, Trish for DMC series.Firebrand and Arthur for Ghosts n Goblins. Morrigan, Felicia, Lei-Lei for Dark stalkers.America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk for Avengers. Wolverine, Storm, Sentinel, Magneto for X-man. You get the point.
Why are there two unknowns left even though all the revealed characters are on the screen?
@23
It's Jill and Shuma. I don't know why they're missing.
Wow, and I thought the OTHER "new" stages were uncreative... They seriously just washed out the colors on the GNG stage and added rain? Oh PLEASE take forty more dollars from me, Capcom! You've earned it, baby!
Um...Isn't this the stage from Makaimura Gaiden [Gargoyle's Quest I] on the gameboy¿ Those coffins remind me of the stage.
Damn, I'm showing my age, I have memories in black and white/green :'(
@25 and @26 Why would they leave them out if they come on the disk? =S
@31 That's probably the only thing I hate about Capcom concerning this game.
@32 Oh.... ok.... I thought they came on the disk.
So, that still only leaves us only about 50 characters if you include Jill and Shuma. So...where are the last two going to be?
I see nothin' wrong with frank, but PW kinda looks derpy
@36 Because Capcom is a dick like that and probably would do something like that :P
Am I the only one who noticed how Horrible Frank's face looks in the character select screen? I hope its better than that.
I love the new stages, sure its the same stages but thats the point, nobody cares in fighting games so they just give us a new perspective, and its MUCH better than MvC2. Shadowland being in a middle of a city rather than a dojo, Daytime and ACTUALLY ON THE HELICARRIOR, the Main Menu is technically Better than Training Any day, Snow Kattlnox is peace,Calm with Servbots playing and you could actually see the scenery better, Days of Future's past is technically Different compared to Haggar's stage with Sents.
We only have a PICTURE of a black and White GnG stage with rain, as we know it MOVES and for all we know, there can be major changes, Heck, for all we know Astaroth could be someone else.
@34: well, they are on the disc and only get unlocked when you buy the "DLC". There was a video up showing Jill even before the DLC was released, when someone with a hacked Xbox loaded hidden game files.
I think that’s pretty sad. And more so, almost every major company has done something like that once one twice already (Namco with Soul Calibur, Epic with Gears of War and so on).
I just make sure I’ll never buy something like this.
...i smell Frank West and Rocket Racoon gameplay reveals trailers very very soon...also don't like this stage, don't like idea of BW stage, i mean like we aren't in 40-50s move who soing to like it...besides it looks way too much to already existing stage (forgot name)...
@43
Well I guess its harsh, but it was unexpected atleast, Frank's ALWAYS changing his face in every game he appears
This is just sad.
I'm pretty sure Frank is gonna play exactly like he did in TvC; you know, like Zero, Viewtiful Joe, Ryu, Chun Li, and Morrigan (sans Lilith obviously). Hey Caps, why not give us Megaman Volnutt and Soki while you're at it? Its not like you're putting much effort into using the exact same game engine while throwing some sparkly effects over Wii-generation models and changing minor details about each character.
so 12 new characters bringing it up to 50 right? so theres 48 with frank and raccoon soooo weres the beef? lol
@54, 55
Adding more characters is good. Adding characters that were already made is just lazy. Its pretty much proven now that all the ones I mentioned were just given a smaller bit of work than they were in their Wii incarnation. However, this feels like it could have easily been on, say, Xbox, rather than current-gen.
Its not that they were in another game, because thats what a crossover is. Its that they play almost identically; almost being the keyword, because they made the level 3 for Viewtiful Joe just a slowdown mechanic and changed to a level 1, and making Chun Lis Bang Shishigami-like air capture to a ground invincibility one. The problem isn't that they are in, but rather that its the same thing.
Also; Frank West is probably the reason Jill is in her RE5 incarnation, besides, you know, RE5 Wesker and Chris. Zombie call-ins.
That also being said, MVC3 as a game is just underdeveloped. It feels underdeveloped, it plays underdeveloped. That might just be my Tatsunoko and Bloody Roar hype, but there's not enough to do in MVC3 besides just fight. At least in Tatsunoko there were minigames, and a reason to play Arcade.
If they're trying to cater to the casual crowd for Marvel Vs Capcom 3, they're doing it horribly.
More recycled stages...?
This has angered Doom.
I wouldn't mind the recycled stages if Capcom didn't promote them as NEW! FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!
@8 Why would Nova and RR have to be next to each other?
@61
I agree. They aren't on the same team or anything. They are just both from Marvel U comics.
Maybe i'm missing it, but no random stage select?
Love the MvC picture at the left of the character select and the stage select. Which only begs the question: When is Marvel vs Capcom coming out for XBLA and PSN?!
The character selection is out of order on the Marvel side.
It Should be:
X-men Stand Alone Characters
Phoenix Nova
X-23 Rocket Raccoon
Wolverine Ghostrider
Storm Iron Fist
Sentinel Deadpool
Magneto Spiderman
bah that didn't work like it was supposed to.
X-men= Phoenix, X-23, Wolverine, Storm, Sentinel, Magneto
Stand alone characters= Nova, Rocket Raccoon, Ghostrider, Iron Fist, Deadpool, Spiderman
@70
Obvious troll is obvious, dont ruin the game for us.
@53
Why shouldnt he? Him,joe,and zero had a great moveset for First timers(Dont,tell me about Megaman Zero I know), why make a different one especially since franks moveset is Very unique? TvC had certain problems with his moveset, which this game will fix and make more fun just like Joe and Zero.
Thats like saying that the MvC2 characters are "Being the same" in Mvc3, pointless argument.
Also, anyone notice how Frank is literally the last batch with RR? Rather ironic considering since he was an unfinished character, who was supposed to be DLC, and shouldve been among the first to be revealed in UMVC? Im rather excited to see him in action!
They shouldve put some real character art in the game, instead of using those ugly a$$ in-game models....they need more work...
Wow Frank looks more like his VA(Tj Rotolo)then his actual self!
Why is it so hard to get Frank's face right?
