So Ryu did get an air dash. Do these cards have explanations on what they do somewhere?

@#5 No, he did not, that is a card ability. Notice the lit up icon below his health? Also if we go a list I think that'd ruin the whole point of discovery don't you think?

Actually, it seems like the airdash is an ability he got from the cards. Look at the icons.

i would say the 4th portrait is the active card on each team.

Yeah it seems like it but I remember from one of the change videos to Ryu was that he had an air dash.

It looks like the cards have stock numbers next to them... I really hope you don't have to use up a card and then re-ern it if you use it in a fight.

I can't believe I'm saying that, but... this mode looks fun as hell, if only for collecting the cards. I think this makes the second buy worth the time.

Wow, so many characters on cards. I even see Godot's Icon on one of the screenshots.
Also apparently there's a balance between factions on different stages. Very interesting.

I'm surprised the Megaman fanboys haven't whined about X being on a card yet.

Having Galactus in a game without the Silver Surfer is wrong... not to mention that The Fantastic Four should have been in the game and I am still bitter about the Super Skrull excuse.

@19 I completely agree about no silver surfer if galactic is the last boss instead of t-1000 clones you should fight silver surfer it's wrong.

Now I have to by this fame the artwork on the cards is awesome card collecting sounds pretty fun and alot of cool characters we didn't get making cameos and having as a card if no other way is pretty nice and now the replay value is sky high with so many combinations of cards you can have heck if I can't have Sakura I think I will take a card and be happy lol nitsuma really put time into this game and it now is entitled to a new Disk I believe which doesn't make me feel guilty about purchasing

Fingers crossed that they fill these with all kinds of crazy and interesting abilities (maybe even a card or two that swaps out one of a characters moves) and that you don't lose the card once you use it in a match.

You'd be greatly mistaken, since Galactus has had several Heralds besides Surfer, you can have Galactus without Silver Surfer easy.

Also, Super-Skrull is a better choice than any of the F4, since he can use all their powers at once.

And guys like The thing would be redundant with Hulk around.

Cuz they have cards for the characters in the game as well. Pretty sure I saw a Ryu card somewhere. So it doesn't mean anything

Besides, we do have people that have been F4 memebers in the game.

Spider-Man, Wolverine, Hulk, She-Hulk, Ghost Rider and even Doom himself is currently a member of the FF.

Spider-Man, Doom, She-Hulk and Ghost Rider even have F4 color alts.

I just like the pic of Phoenix Wright running through Ryu's super like a boss.

There have been other heralds of Galactus, but NONE of them are as big or important of characters as Silver Surfer. How many of those other heralds have had their own comics, cartoon series, and appearances in a major movie. Silver Surfer is intimately connected with Galactus and is/was Galactus's favorite and most powerful herald.

To say that Super-skrull and Doom are enough reps for the Fantastic Four is like saying if they put Doctor Octopus and Venom in the game and left out Spider-man. That is absurd. Fantastic Four is the 1st family of Marvel and one of Marvels oldest and most popular four person team, leaving them out is absurd. They were only left out because they didn't want to use four slots in the game for them, which doesn't really make much sense when you consider how man X-Men and Avengers are in the game.

The Fantastic Four will ALWAYS be Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch and Thing. The random part-time members that have been members of the team do not count because they are not real members and were just gimmicks to try to increase comic book sales. Even with the recent death of Johnny Storm and his replacement by Spider-man is just a gimmick and we all know Johnny will be back.

Thing would be as redundant as Vergil and Dante. It doesn't matter if characters seem similar if they change their gameplay styles.

My vote is on the Heralds... I always love to be one.

I agree with skull over fantastic 4 he has all their powers with just 1 character no he can't replace them but from a developer standpoint it makes sense
