@4 When Rufus was in a trailer he wasn't officially announced as a playable character so people were saying just because characters were in the trailers didn't necessarily mean that they would be playable in the game. However, these pics are showing gameplay of Rufus so I'm just assuming that Cody and Guy are playable as well. Unless Rufus was announced and I'm just late.
@14 thats the best we can hope for but really its not clear. If they were to have said "dlc code" "unlock code" or anything that gives us a clue ne way or another i wouldnt be concerned but i rufuse to by in game power-ups that should be free

it's only a waste of a slot to you. To me it's Capcom including one of my favorite characters with his refreshing play style into another game just like he deserves.
Urien, Dudley or Alex as well as any 3rd strike representation sans Ibuki and Hugo would be nice too.
Ooh boy I can't wait for more recycled models from SSF4 and recycled characters from Super Turbo (if T.Hawk is in this game, I will kill myself). Meanwhile, no Urien, no Dudley, no Remy, no Elena, no Alex.
And it's not the FAT in Rufus that bothers me (Bob is cool, for instance). It's the stupid haircut, the ugly yellow jumpsuit and the obnoxiousness. Did Ono really expect people to be excited for Rufus, one of the most godawful designs in fighting game history?
i would really like to see not a character creation mode but character customization mode so we can change everything about our characters like in tekken 6.
Head - hats/glasses/headband/facepaint/earings/hair/ect.
torso - shirtless(guys)/tattoos/armor/ect.
waist/lower body - shorts/jeans/sweatpants/belts/shirts(girls)/ect.
feet -barefoot/sneakers/boots/slippers/sandals/ect.
effects - colored aura's
unusable weapons hanging from waist or on back - swords/nunchucks/staffs/sai's/knifes/guns/ect.
the main reason why i think this would be pretty cool is it add uniqueness to every character especially in mirror matches, and i want to be able to change how my character looks without having to pay 320msp per character costume packs or 1600msp for a full roster costume pack.

Why do you guys get so exited about new characters when we all know you're just going to pick Ryu & Ken every time?
There was a point in time where I really, really hated Rufus' design. But he's actually kinda' grown on me.
Not enough that I'd main him, but I actually like his over-the-top design and personality.
As far as the gem system, I admit I am pretty worried about it. I didn't have reservations about X-Factor, thinking it would be fine... I wasn't a fan of the results of that lol.
This doesn't seem nearly as bad yet, and I don't think Capcom would be silly enough to charge for in-game power-ups like this if they really want the system to be used. Any sort of exclusivity would hurt it even more, and would just lead to the gem system being abandoned that much faster.
If handled right, it could be very interesting, kinda' reminiscent of World Tour mode in SFA3 (but harder to activate abilities), which was pretty fun. I just don't see this getting much use outside of casual play, unless they make it so well-tuned (IMO impossible) that it's worth a tourney organizer's while to go around and make sure every console and cabinet have it.
Otherwise, it's kinda' doomed to be sideshow fodder.
My biggest fear - which I think a lot of people have expressed - is what this will do to the game's online community if Gem play can't be disabled. I can guarantee that there's going to end up being just one or two combinations of gems that get spammed online... and if it's some obscure,"gotta buy it as DLC" or "complete 10,000 Trial missions" method to have those gems, it's going to make sort of an "elite class" of gems, and players who use forego the prop sued creative for "these three gems - I win".
Anyhow, it's too early to panic and I'm still more curious about the roster than this gem system. I haven't lost my hype for the game yet (they could probably replace the roster with stick figures at this point and I'd still be hype), but I do think this should be the very last system they add to the game, because it is getting to that point where all these different systems and such are getting convoluted.
I do like that they're at least trying to add content though, even if some of it isn't what I'd like.
Well i'm new in this... but i'll going to tell you'll the facts nothing but the truth..."YUN" DESERVE TO BE IN THIS GAME.Because it's this paining my heart for a character like him not in a game where he suppose to belong. Yes ryu,ken,chun-li,guile,sagat and even dhalsim were my favourite street fighter of all time until now but... ever since yun make his appearance,all street fighter fighting games gone to a whole new level with him.Correct me if I'm wrong but it's true. Picture this if I play yun against ryu in yun stage in street fighter 3rd strike, in the background yang his brother will be watching him fighting but if yun fight his brother yang, yang will not be there at all... NOW PICTURE THIS NOW as yun skateboarding on the skateboard realm and yang watching the characters fighting against each other at the sideline which bring me back sfiii 3rd strike yang watching at the sideline yun and ryu fighting...so Capcom it's pretty obvious that Mr Ono and Mr Seth Killian with honorable due of respect... put on your thinking cap and put yun and yang in this game whether if yun not the skateboard realm and making the background a llttle spacy, put somebody else or leave it just so...and yang talking to the girl next to him that he can easily dump her right the spot and I know he don't give a damn about her.It have enough people in this skateboard stage that yun and yang can make a daybreak in this game.I always say if ryu and ken have the same uppercut, the same spinning kick,the same fireball or magic what people does call it and act like brothers ViceVersa with yun and yang.They have the same special grab,the same palm strike even the same kick launcher to end with any special move of their choice and they are blood/twin brothers and because it is obvious.Each team have the same move but different Martial Arts style. You can't tell the biggest game that going to make a life history and yun and yang "NOT IN IT"..."That is going to be a pain in d ass." When yun and yang make appearance in Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition nearly the whole world playing them and they have much possibility with their super arts with yun infamous "GENEI JIN" and yang "SEIEI-ENBU" and what surprise me the most is when daigo give up on ryu to play with yun and that make it sweeter to say "YUN AND YANG" deserve to be in this game and there no but nor maybe when coming to this demands which brngs me to the end of my conclusion. This is my reason why yun and yang but mostly "YUN" deserve to be in this game "StreetXTekken."
After the ocean of text about how much one person loves Yun; I have to say that the game still shows promise.
Some character choices(Rufus wtf) weren't exactly the cup of tea I had in mind rather than including someone people asked for.
Still no sign of Asuka or Karin.
I wonder who Juri is going to partner with.
More than likely; they will go off-the-wall and add an illogical person much like Zangief/Rufus.
