His first two matches were horrible, I agree with #1. Nothing impressive there. HOWEVER, his match with the Cammy was really slick. He closed out that third game super flashy. So, props to him. He might be someone to look out for in the future :3. Pretty cool stuff.
I agree it's not super impressive. But sometimes when you're playing to win it's not going to look super impressive. The first match vs Bison it seems like that's a matchup that he struggles with. Vs Akuma he just wasn't anti-airing that well, but he still closed it nicely. In the cammy fight he was just being patient, not taking any unneeded risks until he got a solid opening, imo.
I think he'd be somebody to look out for and keep an eye on. We might see him pop up at a tournament and surprise us, who knows?
Definitely a great Oni. That Akuma match was epic, especially the closure to it. He doesn't take unnecessary risks, conditions his opponents to block, and has the Kara demon down. Effective combos, great choices of attack, and great footsies/pokes. Definitely someone to watch out for. Is he on PSN?

I agree Overmostheads will be someone to look out for as time goes on. IMO the best Oni's out there right now are Japanese players WildCat815 and Eita. Then I'd say Combofiend and (insert rest here.) I would like to see Tokido pick up Oni just to see what he could come up with...(yes I know Akuma is better then Oni in tiers coz of more options etc etc, it'd just be fun to see.)
*sigh* at all the forum warriors who always have some criticisms to make. This isn't professional sports. There is no barrier of entry. You have the same game, same fightstick and same match upload functionality like all of them.
If you are so desperate for us to notice you and how you are not impressed, post your own videos.
Harsh criticism from some of you guys. Respect for picking Oni for one, good matches, nice combo's (and taunts haha) hope to see more from him.
Thanks for nice comments and the bad ones, I don't consider myself the best Oni at all and if you really wanna know who the best is, it is Shinochan... I just have fun with it sure I make mistakes but so what lol it's a game chill out

@7, Doom is a brilliant Ryu and I have no shame losing to him. He beats me more than I beat him in the Oni vs Ryu matchup

Seriously though, good Oni. You've taught me to use st.lk more that how much I do now (never). That Ryu is the scariest Ryu I've seen bar one.
Nice Oni skills. I really like the idea of oni, i just cant use him atm. I think hes just not suited to the way i play.
OVERMOSTHEADS - Got any tips for trying to learn how to use oni?
Sure mate, he is not like any other character so go in clean minded. Use all his normals (he has alot) in training mode and get used to their ranges, priorities and purpose. His cr.hp, st,hp and fr,hp are all top notch anti airs for different jump ins. Light slash is safe 99% of the time, so use it! mp>hp target combo is my favourite combo starter, I often do target combo, lk.slash fadc into whatever you like, very easy to confirm. His lk and mk stomp move (dp motion) can be comboed from the target combo and it gets a hard knockdown, which can lead into ambiguous safejumps... most importantly practise!

I can say first hand that overmostheads has an excellent Oni and probably an even better Dhalsim. I'm pretty sure I played some endless with him last week sometime with my ryu and he destroyed it, lol. I dont come across that many oni's online so when Overmostheads turned up with his, I got my ass handed to me. I just couldnt read those slashes where you have to block the opposite way!

Lol at everyone being so critical. Like OMH always says, chill out its just a game. He's the best Oni i've ever played, more so i bet no one here would be able to beat his Oni or Sim.

YEAH ONI!!!... im more of a cody fan and fei long (before he became a higher character)so how bout that mago vs sasaki? I liked that one the most cause im trying to main cody
@31 sasaki has the best cody in the world imo. follow his games on yogaflame 24 youtube channel. Try and find some Momochi cody too, hes got a pretty beastly one.
his oni is not impressive at all.. actually im more impressed with the dictator he faught.. that guy played much better.. combofiend Oni is greater by so many levels
