The Xbox 360 release of Street Fighter 3 Third Strike Online Edition also received its patch today. It's a 2MB download, here are the patch notes for it.
• Fixes a bug that made it difficult to get into a Ranked Match, especially during times of peak traffic.
• Fixes a bug that could cause players to have very large disconnection percentages (> 100)
• Fixes a bug that could cause characters to become invisible online, or to be displayed with incorrect colors.
• Fixes a bug that sometimes caused Hugo’s combo trial #2 to not detect correctly.
• Fixes a bug that permitted an exploit in Trial mode when using "stun" settings.
• Fixes some rare crashes.
• Improves network stability.
• Adds support for additional DLC packs.
• Raises the online level cap.

Not that I'm playing 3S right now anyway, but I'll need to download this... I don't know if anyone else has run into this issue, but rather than my disconnect percentage being obscenely high, mine shows (or at least last time I checked) at about 8%... and I've never disconnected. -__-
@ Steele - that's odd, lol. I'll have to DL (360) later and see what it does just out of curiosity now...
Osbone, that sucks. If all of your stats were reset then why not start a new save file? Also, you get something like 5 VPs for every online win. "Another Notch" or something like that. Point is that you can continue to accumulate VPs even after completing all of the challenges. Sucks for you though.

The game is a decade old. It's was in development for over a year.
I can excuse minor issues of a NEW game. But these issues aren't minor.
Especially considering it's main reason for existing is the ONLINE.(Hence the third strike ONLINE title)
It's was an abomination and not only did they have the gull to make you pay for a simple palett swap instead of making that a feature... they didn't put out a patch for over a month.
I understand that games don't always come out perfect but this product was completely shoddy.
If you are okay with taking any piece of crap and gobbling it down like it's delicious then fine. I certainly don't and I'll be vocal about it whenever possible in hopes that Capcom gets the message and doesn't put out a game like this in the future.
Osbone, I will test it for you and let you know. I am only ranked 4. I can sneeze and get that back.
As for the game. I've never had an issue with it. Great game!
As for the DLC. Don't like it don't buy it. Capcom (just like your parents) is just trying to make a buck. Welcome to reality.
even tough it is a good argument, i dont buy the "dont like dont buy".
it seems as it is no diferent then some cons, dont like? dont get coned, thing is, that i may like it, but may not agree with said price or conditions, but since i have no way to disagree or bargain, or say, ill just get this other one, im screwed.
there are lots of valid arguments vs dlc packs, in general, vs reason that is good to buy.
Osbone,
I you start a new save file it will bump you back down to level one at first. After you play a ranked match, it will sync with the xbox server and restore your rank. I back up all of my saved files for sf.

Stop defending them. Capcom hurts their brand when they put out crappy products. It isn't good for them and it isn't good for the consumer who spend their hard earned money on it. It's software, bugs will always be there.
That doesn't mean a broken game is acceptable, start thinking with logic.
@Raven
It's "logic" to understand that games are gonna have it's bumps with online on release day. Thats with any game. Can't get more logical than that. It's illogical to think any product no matter how fool proof is gonna be perfect when it debutes.
And I don't have to defend them. SFIII:OE has an average score of 9 out of 10 on many major review sites. If Capcom s putting out crappy products then they must be doing somthing right.
Thanks Crapcom for putting out something so terrible. Seriously, something tagged as "Online Edition" should have way more than the anemic modes this game offers.
Things that upset me are:
Pings that are color-coded, rather than numerical values.
No region filtering for online matches.
No custom room size for play matches.
Refreshing results in the same rooms coming up in player matches.
Not being able to see whether the room is "normal" or 2 out of three matches before entering.
And why is it that the 2/3 match setting has 60 second rounds?
Developers take advantage of the ability to patch games after release. Basically they release incomplete and untested games, and let paying customers beta test the games and report problems. Then, if the developers deem the game to be worthy of patching (eg it's in their financial interest to do so) they'll go ahead and patch it. The worst part is that many times the patches don't resolve all of the issues with the game, or more issues are found later, leading the developer to decide whether it's worthwhile to release yet another patch.
Bout time, jeez, why the delay anyways?
