I hate it when i develop some technologie with a character that is really benefitting me and then a dude comes along who figured it out too and posts it. They should keep those guides general, so people have an easier learning experience, but from there they should figure the stuff out themsleves. I dont want my techniques to be used by every third class juri player.

That's a very selfish attitude to have. If someone wants to take the time to show me how to do something or if someone asks me how I did a certain technique, why are we not allowed to share that info? Just so YOU can feel better about yourself because you have exclusive knowledge?
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for self-experimentation and discovery, but a student will learn from more than one person.
And besides, so what if some random Juri player knows a technique that you do. If they're "third class", it shouldn't be a problem.

I do give tips if someone asks me and even sometimes if they dont. But its stuff like Matchup tips, what they have to look out for, what move beats what, if they should pressure or sit back, or if what they are doing is unsafe (i tell every juri to drop the random dive kicks).
But we are talking about technologie, and rather specific stuff, not a big step toward leveling up. I think people who are thinking about their character should benefit from that, and people who just copy stuff just shouldn't get that little edge over another player that just didnt get the news, or hasn't figured it out for themselves.
#7 Yes i actually did that with Makoto when i was starting out in Super, but after i reached a certain point i stopped. And my Juri is all me. The only videos i watched are the walkthroughs by Seth Killian before Super even came out. and i picked up a lot of characters since that where i didnt watch guides. I watched pros thou and after i saw something i tried it myself or thought about what they were doing, but i would say thats more of an inspiration, then getting it served on a silver plattern with all the infos where its usefull and whatnot. I dont like that, if i go online and watch juris, they are all doing the same stuff, and it makes me sick. Its not about being selfish, its just that i like some individuality.

Well I've been playing Juri since SSF4 came out, and yeah, I did know some of the things explained in the vid, but some I didn't, like doing negative edge to cancel a store into ultra 2. A lot of the skills and knowledge I have of Juri come from streams, I've seen a random Juri player do something I don't do with her, then I go in the lab and figure out what they did. I don't always take on every technique I see Juri players use, because I prefer they way I play her over some, but I'm definitely not against tutorial vids or vids posting new tech for my character,it only benefits me. If you want to keep things you discover to yourself, that's perfectly fine, but don't get mad if someone else that plays your character posts new tech. It's a really awesome thing to do, points out new things that long time Juri players like myself haven't discovered, helps out players wanting to pick her up, and betters the community. I see nothing wrong with that.
#11 But thats not what i see. I see people playing like they have the scrubguide right next to them, and i see people who cant do anything if you figure out their auto pilot because they know only what they see and dont actually understand the engine and fighting style. I think it would benefit the community way more to give them the basics and let them figure out the rest.
And you seem to do it like me, you let yourself get inspired. Thats a completely different thing.
I dont really get mad thou, i do hate it and it annoys me because there are people out there trying hard, leveling up slowly but very thoroughly but on the way get beaten by scrubs who just randomly spam some stuff they saw on the internet, which is frustrating and kills the motivation to actually study hard and thoroughly wich in the end actually weakens the community instead of benefiting it.
@12 If you're losing to "scrubs who just randomly spam some stuff they saw on the internet", that's entirely your fault. It's not like internet guides play the whole game for you, they just help you learn and give you options that you can apply in-game. The top players look up bits of information like that all the time. Does that mean they're scrubs too?
#13 I never said i lost to scrubs. No its not their fault that they want to play the game right, but cant read people who just dont make any sense in their game, or go with stuff they dont even understand.
And sure, you have to be able to deal with scrubs, that still doesnt mean its not frustrating and kills the motivation to learn this game right, if you get bodied cause you dont dumb down your game to their level. And its not anybodys fault cause there are scrubs at all skilllevels. You can only guess so many random attempts. Leveling up doesnt neccisarrily mean to smarten up, sometimes it just means that you make your randomness safer or mix up the randomness enough to make it hard to adapt to.
A lot of people have their gameplan and either loose or win with it, 3000pp Juris do random dive kicks all the time, or sit back and spam fireballs in all directions, and 3000pp dictators do headstomps in the middle of the screen. How is that possible? How can people succed with such tactics? There are scrubs everywhere
#15 Ah so you are one of those Scrubs?
Stop being ignorant. I voiced my opinion and i get responses so is respond to them. Im not crying about it and i dont often loose to scrubs.. Im just sad that there are so many scrubs who obviously win against people, and i remember learning and having to go through the thing im describing. And yeah, war is happening, People are being ignorant, aggresion welcomes you everywhere you go, lets all just accept it and stop dreaming about a better world, lets all adapt and be idiots ourselves. Keep your patronizing resonse to yourself. Just dont say anything if you got nothing of importance to say.
Asmilliz, sharing knowledge is how we all increase our skill level, which in turn means people play better. Therefore leaving less scrubs for you to fight online, thats what you want right? Your argument is very selfish and bordering on hypocritical.
Every character can use "cheap tactics" , your job is to find a way around it if you truly are the better player.
