The latest guide contest for the EventHubs forums has been won by SilentBob. He wins this month's $50 prize for his 3rd Strike Urien guide.Combo Follow Up
[Last Combo]
NOTE: This combo allows you to set the Reflector over your opponent and use the Headbutt or Knee Drop to cross over your opponent and push him into the Reflector using Quarrel Kick while he wakes up. Every time he hits the Reflector, he will bounce back towards you and allow you to combo into cr. Fierce once the Reflector dies. Chose the best combo to follow up the cr. Fierce with depending on if the combo will end mid-screen or in the corner.
Resets
Reset 1: After a combo, you can do a Quarrel Punch to reset your opponent. Immediately after doing the Quarrel Punch, do a Jab Metallic Sphere and cancel it into Jab Aegis Reflector. This will force your opponent to block the Metallic Sphere and instantly be trapped in your Reflector. You can then follow up with a low or overhead attack and follow up with a combo on hit. This can easily lead to 60% to 75% damage if not more depending on your opponent's stamina.
Reset 2: After a combo, you can do a Roundhouse Violence Knee Drop to get close to your opponent and follow up with a Strong Dangerous Headbutt to cross over your opponent while he is waking up. You can then follow up with a grab or try another combo. Risky reset because if an opponent suspects it, he can spot the Knee Drop and either block and punish or tech your throw. Though if you do land it, it deals 50%+ damage including the combo on characters with Average stamina. If after the Knee Drop you are between the opponent and the Reflector, you can follow up your Headbutt cross over with a Quarrel Kick to push your opponent back into the reflector, which will cause him to bounce back towards you.

i was about to read your Urien guide (out of curiosity since i already played Urien before) and the first thing i read was this.
"He's the less broken version of Gill, even though he still is broken thanks to Aegis Reflector."
i later read on and i see you mentioned he is very hard to start and master...so thats good. i just hope the statement above was a joke lol.

btw Violent Knee Drop doesnt suck...it has many uses like getting on the other side for unblockables or the famous Toikdo/RX corner unblockable where you do a wake-up VKD on the opponent in the corner when an Aegis is on top of them to cause an unblockable situation. now that set-up doesnt always work, but in the right situation VKD helps a lot.
I'm definitely not saying to never use it since it has some uses like the corner unblockable, punishing fireballs and maybe getting out of corners, but as an offensive move you definitely don't want to use it much since it's way too easy to react to.
WoW! ive seen a large amount of different setups for Aegis Reflector online ! some of them are downright amazing!!!
Just stating someone that supposed to be objective doesnt write this kind of bulllsh!t
(even though he still is broken thanks to Aegis Reflector).
Besides of that ,his guide is very handy...
Next part try to discuss the difference between Rx aegis reflector and other urien player trying to be cool with charge partitionning
