Doesn't everyone realize that you have to have some sort of cheap factor in your team or else you just don't win in this game.
Imagine we can pick whoever we want and WIN without having to whore the best in the game because of our lack of skill yet urge to win.
imma praise Storm regardless. Shes the only Marvel women that's gonna see play. DP doesnt count as a character in my book.
And Storm is not still not top 5. She Hulk was neva top 5 and still got nerfed so naw when playing with players like Marn and Wesker Storm isn't cheap. However any character backed with drones can become cheap. So nerfing float and assist made sense and is a nerf that has probably kept her out of top 5. For players who mash assist. Which is not me. She-Hulk/Storm/X-23 back in Mvc3 neva got in with assist anyway. I used to work to get in not just call drones and get a free combo.
And Zeros normals are just lame so are his jiggles. Lame.
this matches are old... like 1st day i think... anyways, all MSS get nerfs and buffs, but they look almost the same, i thought magneto to be the worst in the game but wooow fanatiq is another level i don´t see any diferent aside of DHC glitch in his team and rocket punch xx HSF whit sentinel... by the way storm is one of the best original member of the cast, is almost the same and his hail storm hyper is one of the best DHC option's in the game, yo can do 1000k in a DHC with wesker, doom and other character, magneto looks prety solid now i see why he manage to be on top 3 in first 2 weeks

Did drones get nerfed at all?
It still has the best angle, it's still slow and still takes up a big part of the screen.
It's like having a giant slow moving ball roll across the screen as an assist. imo
Eff any team using Wesker in high level play, will probably body me. I lost my best player She-Hulk (all the while Wesker is given level 4 X-factor and what exactly is nerfed about Magneto and Doom seriously doom got nerfed?) and I hate ALL 12 new additions OBVIOUSLY. So Ultimate isn't too high on my list of games to stick with. When I played seriously though I loved it. But what they did to the Marvel heroines pretty much ensured that I personally wasnt going to continue with the game. Plus these guys are tourny players 10 months with mvc3's netcode exclusively should be more then enough to make people drop it.
Marvel should now actually show love to the X-Men characters and give us xml3.
Are people really complaining about what characters are being picked?

Who really cares. Umvc3 is a sausage fest that lacks every major stand alone of 2011. For those of y'all who dont have modded 360's... you continue to pay Capcom to rip you off. And I feel bad for y'all. Games broken we know this, moving on.
Honestly, I find Marn's attitude quite humorous when he wins. I think that Fanatiq complains a lot when he's losing.
For those wondering, Magneto didn't get buffed. He didn't really get nerfed either. However, the new hit stun makes his corner loops stop between 22-26 hits vs 30-36. Now before people say "well at least you can still do most of it!" the loop itself doesn't do crap for damage (Maybe 400k). Its the fact that in Vanilla he could build enough meter to Gravity squeeze or DHC. However, with the new meter building reduction he no longer builds enough meter (starting at 1 bar) to end his combos with mad damage hypers. His loops pretty much only build 1.1 meter now vs 2. Also, the increased knockback on air H really hurts him being able to capitalize on every situation like before.
As I said before, he isn't buffed. But he isn't really nerfed. However, the changes to the game mechanics kind of nerfed him in a sense. Basically, now he does require Mag players to work a lot harder than before. And will finally incorporate some smart mixups/resets. As Fanatiq puts it, he's no longer "Fraud Friendly."
Doom on the other hand got buffed by not being changed (and also hard knockdown added to attacks and throws). All of his combos still work completely, and are actually easier now due to more floaty opponents. (My vanilla and ultimate team has both Magneto and Doom on it)
I hope that this information kind of helps anyone out there that was wondering about the changes of those two characters.
Pretty funny that people think drones are overpowered, Sentinel can easily get hit out of his drones and most of the time it's pretty unsafe to use his assist unless they are completely fullscreen, don't have a teleport or you put them in a defensive spot, oh and considering he has to stay out a long time while drones are slowly coming out from behind means he's active through most of the animation and can easily get hit by projectiles and different angles to nullify his drones. Doom missles are much scarier than drones.

ITT: People trash talk Marn for not being amazing with new characters in a new game. Dude is top level with Magneto and Zero. He deserves props. He'll get where he needs to be.

One question for you though, and I mean this in all seriousness: Do you have an obsessive disorder (OCD, Compulsive Personality Disorder, etc.)? You seem to spend so much time on these comments section talking about one thing, and just reiterating and reiterating, and repeating and repeating the same thing over and over; and, well, it doesn't seem healthy.
I'm not trying to hate on you, but you might want to take all the time you obsess over marvel heroines not making it into the game and invest it into other avenues, like something that doesn't anger you so much, seriously.

I've used him since Vanilla's release and as a fan of the character in general, it's kinda crappy that so many people have decided to use him just for his DP status. ._. (I assumed it'd be the same with Doom, but because his combo's can't be performed one-handed or by an 8 year old, I haven't seen a lot of players using him much/effectively.)
Either way, if Capcom isn't being completely clueless (for once..) Wesker'll receive nerfs, people'll flock to Virgil/Ghost Rider/Hawkeye and leave my favourite character alone. :3
Oh and whoever said Sent's drone assist is broken; learn how to stop it, it's pretty easy to hit such a huge target. =\
I am rather surprised at how strong Wesker has turned out in Ultimate. I feel like he kinda slipped through the cracks when others were hit with the nerf bat...kinda like in AE when they left Fei Long pretty much alone while nerfing the majority of the stronger fighters, and Fei was strong already.
I dont think he is overpowered, but definitely top tier which is cool. I'm not sure what the rationale was giving him the buff with the shades lol. It's almost like they just wanted to add something to him just for the sake of it.

Cheap is such a hurtful word when it comes to UMVC. In a tournament, as you all will agree, the goal is to win. So what if Marn is using wesker and virgil, atleast he has one character he likes. Most just, pardon my french, dick ride the winning teams (team tokido, viscant, MSS / MSP ). In alot of cases characters that are on there own not that great move up in rank due to a team (i.e. Psylocke). So in closing tier and cheapness is in the eye of the beholder. If you can't beat a character or team follow the three golden rules (GED), 1. Get salty for losing, 2. Experiment the lab and do your research, 3. Dispense your own salt.
Marn is a scrub eff's sakes can your drop your cheap/gimmick win factors. Seriously Wesker and Zero?
And drones is hella cheap but I respect strong Storm gameplay.
