Juri has always been an extremely strong character. She's just been very under explored. But there are some players like Juicebox that have briefly shown her strengths on streams, etc. I expect to see many more Juri's after 2012. The problem is that OK players will always choose to jump everywhere and spam dive kick vs playing her extremely strong footsie, zoning, and frame trap oriented ground game.
Just the other day, I was thinking how Juri is portayed in the game's cut scenes / dialog & movie - http://youtu.be/B2GGu9a9bsk to be a Top or even God-tier / S-class character !
Oh god, I hope Mago use juri, that would be so sick to watch. I'm not one to whine about why pros don't use X and Y characters, because if the character don't have anything powerful that they can work with, there's no point for them to use that character. But I really do think that Juri have some great strengths that just gets ignored by most players, her incoming buffs, and all these nerfs going into the current top tiers. It'll be definitely interesting to see if any pros are willing to pick her up.
That was a waste of 3 minutes. Nothing but Juri vs Juri and training mode.
Cool! Another pro picks up Juri. I'm glad more people seem to be realizing what I knew all along- Juri's the best!
'IMO', her fuhajin chains are pretty useless other than to gain meter...For a Juri starter (remember i said imo), I find that most of her fuhajin links work mainly in corner, or you gotta be pretty close to em if not in the corner...
If not, they whiff most the time :(
Ill stick to my rush down mix-up Juri. :)
15. You need to switch the normal that you set it up with. Her crouching forward for example has too much pushback, coruching strong works up close standing strong works even if you are a little further away. And its perfect for pressure, if you use a fuhajin chain, and sometimes switch to a senpushato close the gap or a fadc you can perssure them endlessly, and they cant do anything. Thats her strongest tool in my opinion, those endless blockstrings and the pressure. You really need to put really good opponents in a blockroutine to hit them with her slow overhead or suprise them with a throw.
stick with fei mago.
