FingerCramp has a new entry in their character rehab series for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. This video covers some of the ins and outs of Phoenix Wright.
We check out is this lawyer can cut it in a fighting game. Phoenix aka Nick isn't your average fighter relying on just footsies, zoning and combos. Phoenix has a lot of depth due to so many different mechanics. If you are serious about Phoenix be prepared to put the time in, he definitely is viable in the right hands. RIP Faye....
He goes through all of the basics and even some advanced techniques.
A few things not covered:
- Maya shield can only absorb 250k dmg before she is knocked away. She is out for 2.5 seconds.
- The vase has the fastest start-up for all the evidence. The cellphone is AMAzing when he's in turnabout. Lvl 3 X factor + Turnabout + Cellphone = death from chip. Worse than vanilla phoenix's fireballs. (I still agree that the knife is really good though.)
- Investigation: 4 "Hold it(s)" equal a dizzy. Courtroom: 3 "Hold it(s)" equal a dizzy. Turnabout: 2 "OBJECTION(s)!" equal a dizzy.
Overall I though he covered this character pretty well.
Only the foolishly foolish of fools would be foolhardy enough to foolishly ignore the tips in this video!
Except I swear he was saying "DP" for papers. Its qcf/qcb!
Phoenix Wright:
The only character that will make your opponent's tears taste like Samurai Dogs.
I apologize for the spelling Mistake EH community. Don't kill me.... I fixed it
