I Just found an odd glitch with Strider and Morrigan.
Whenever Strider uses his wall cling during Morrigan's Astral vision the camera will spaz out for a second before the playingfield goes completely dark. Only the lifebars and the hyperbars remain visible.
The characters will no longer be able to interact with each other and will occasionally stop responding to all player input.
Tagging in another character restores the hyper animations, but beside that you're stuck in this Limbo until the timer reaches zero.

...lol. That's pretty game breaking right there...
Whoa, I'm amazed this has never happened to me seeing as I use Morrigan and a friend I play often uses Strider. Now that I've said this, the next time I play him it'll happen XD
Anway, that's pretty crazy...hope Capcom patches it.
@4
My thoughts exactly.
Go head, keep trying to defend this glitchy crappy trash.
Incoming butt hurt fans that keep taking it in the butt from Capcom but don't want to admit there being taken..."FOR A RIDE" haha
See what I did there losers?
@20
Not sure if trolling...or just incredibly sad.
Ninjas never kiss and tell...although Morrigan never shuts the hell up about it o_O
(GIGGEDY!
I mean....*sigh*:
Capcom should.....UGH.....PATCH THIS!
*crosses finger hoping Morrigan will turn the screen black on me ifyouknowwhatimsayin*
PS: And the best post in this thread is.....#12!)
Every game has glitches they aren't made by God you know so you shouldn't expect them to be perfect in every way. Characters will be broken in some way whether its unpowered or overpowered and explainable things will always happen in every game.
I just found out there a glitch in Zelda: Link to the past to the Super Nintendo where you can beat the game in just 5mins! Its so silly yet so cool lol. Glitches can often be fun in games and other times be a pain. Either way I'm confident this one will be patched we're just have to have patience and deal with it till then. Haha doubt your find many Morrigan's anyways so many Wesker's, Dante's,Vergils and Doom's running around lol
"Nobody plays as Morrigan"
Actually she's on my main squad. But I guess I'm only 1 guy.....don't really see her online much either now that I think about it.......yeah nobody plays as Morrigan.
I tried this and got something...different. Rather than the screen turning dark, when I did this, Strider simply vanished from the screen. He was invulnerable and all of his hypers were non damaging and invisible as well.
This is no glitch, grow a thicker skin losses.
LOL, EEEEEELLLLL OOOOHHH EEEEEEELLLLL at the UMvC3 version 0.06 beta. Make no mistake about it, still a beta. Perhaps if they develop for over a whole year, maybe we can get a complete game...
lol, how long did it take to find bugs? seriously, people need to just stop buying capcom until they learn to make something good.
Well, looks like this game is gonna be getting a multitude of patches in the upcoming months. Maybe they'll do some minor character balancing while they're at it.
@42
10 more months. Can't wait for SUPER ULTIMATE MARVEL VS CAPCOM 3.
firebrand's wall dismount can trigger it also, his lvl3 summon can be seen and attack as well. I also tested with strider tagging in while being affected by glitch, and his wall mount/dismount popped him out of glitch!
"So to understand you correctly, Capcom games can't have glitch in any form without pissing some folks off?
I think you need thicker skin. I'd also think as a fan, you should like to see any indication to raise imagination for the character in any form, even if you personally aren't satisfied by the execution."
Sven
Lol! Looks like Strider will get the sexy time with Morrigan! ;3
For the record, I play Morrigan online in my main team with Felicia and Hsien-ko.
She's taken out entire teams before alone against good players. She has a LOT going for her, but people just don't put in the time to use her.
Funny glitch though! XD
@20 you have no idea how hard it Is to balance and polish a game of that scope. There's too many variables to take into consideration. Countless , assists, character combinations, x factor, air tags, air combos, flight, the list goes on. Same thing with marvel two, you make a 3v3 air and ground based game with 56 characters then get back at us. Until then shut you bucking mouth and let us enjoy marvel.
thins is, there is game testing for a reason.
people can always use the old, and still good, excuse of "lots of characters, lots of things to DO with said characters, lots of possibilities"
but then again game have testing phases, witch i dont know how they work or how they differ from game to game, but it seems as if testing in this game was just a number of testers playing match after match, witch is not bad, but considering what happened in MVC3, they probably should have had people trying specific stuff, not saying that they didn't but it does not seem like it.
and having a thick skin is a poor excuse from a developer, people when buy a game, do not want it to have possible match breaking glitches, oh well, it happened, well just wait till time is over k strider? i just payed 40 bucks for updated version, so glitches are also updated, win/win situation.
/sarcasm
alos, just because i cant make a 3v3 game, with 56 characters and all of its features, does not mean i have to appreciate the glitches i has, or i cant complain.
i also cant make a shooter, but if im aiming and a still target, with a sniper, shoot him in the head, and hit does not register, ill be pissed, rightfully so.
also there are M.U.G.E.Ns out there, that are very well balanced, and probably they dont have as many glitches, considering how they are made.
not that im not ranting about the game, but more about how people just try to accept everything that happens because they like said game, i also disapprove of people saying "now protect your beloved game you butt-hurt noobs", thats stupid.
hopefully this will be patched easily, and probably wont happen often.
but it is not something that only happens on purpose, it seems very fiesable to happen in normal conditions.
TL;DR: This should not have happened, stop defending it cuz you like so much, stop attacking it just because you dont like it, it will be patched YEY.
@ Azure_Dauagon
A few things. First off, MUGEN is already pre-programmed. It's an editor so the editor at it's basic should work with out a problem (maybe), it does'nt have nearly half the algorithims as CoD or UMvC3.
Second. Getting a missed headshot results in two things, one you can change yourself. You either have bad aim and reflexes, or your lagging. Since lagging is also a part of
gaming, expect things like that when playing online.
No one is defending the game because of the bugs. Bugs have existed since the dawn of computers. These bugs are very specific and you won't find this happening in normal play.
Bugs may not even necessarily be an actal error. Sometimes all the code is correct but that same code could cause problems called semantic errors or logic errors which means the code is written correctly but produces undesired
results after it compiles.
Thats what makes bugs so nasty, even if you do everything right there still maybe bugs.
So no, you can't blame Capcom for a bug like this because with so many possibilities this is one that could obviously be missed because someone never performed this move exactly or was discovered late in the testing process.
Some bugs are not even consistant because of the different algorithims happening in the background. You may not get a certain bug until win 20, or loss 50 or do a 999 hit combo. These things tend to be outside the normal play so it's possible it can never be fixed until someone actually does it consitantly.
So if your mad at Capcom for some bugs that will OBVIOUSLY get patched, then to me you just seem to have a personal problem with them because this happens in all games and should be expected day 1 of release.
Try playing some MMO games if you can, that will teach you to respect programming bugs on consoles.
@CAPCOMsucksit Your just a troll, a terrible one at that. This is as much attention as you will get. Go back under your bridge.

Unfortunately. People just don't realize MvC3 was the Alpha & UMvC3 is the Beta.
Sooo, all you have to do to avoid this glitch is (as Strider and Firebrand) against a Morrigan on spot with 3 hyper bars is not clinging against a wall?
Seems pretty doable. To me that glitch isn't that bad... Considered there aren't many Morrigan-Main-Team's and you can just not clinge to walls.
Dunno, just sayin'.

i know that MUGEN is pre-programed, but even then, with so many characters, lots of things can go wrong, and seeing as how it was made, its surprising how it does not have more bugs on it, also i used it as an example just to give a pointer, not a direct comparison, if that would be the case i would have said that MUGEN is free while you pay for MVC and all that crap that isn't valid in a argument.
i never mentioned CoD, i mis-typed the situation i tried to use as an example, so im sorry for that, i meant this: Im aiming with a sniper, target is stopped, non moving, for being AFC, no Lag nor DC. If i take a shot to the head, and it does not register, note, REGISTER, it will be a bug from the game, and if it happens, ofc ill be pissed.
but what i mean is that people cant use the excuse "if you cant make it dont complain".
shooter was an E.G., works with everything
A bug like this can be easily found in normal play, since it is apparently easy to reproduce, i doubt that a player just picked morrigan and strider and went testing.
i would agree with you on the algorithms based on the number of times won etc. but i doubt it highly that it would alter the game to such an extent that such bugs would not be possible otherwise, its like saying, if i reach 50 wins, something will happen to hitstun and i can do bigger combos.
but what you said did make some sense, i get what your trying to point out.
i know that bugs have existed since forever, i was expressing an opinion, not stupidly ranting like many, but its natural that people expect a leap in quality when it comes to these things, because times have advanced, and i DO know that as times advance bugs become more inevitable do to having more complicated programing.
And im not MAD at Capcom, in fact, i think people Generalize CAPCOM! too much... at most its the team involved with MVC, but im not mad, its just that sometimes people defending flaws, or DLCs, seem way to fanboyish IMO, and THAT, makes me mad.
Yes i know glitches happen everywhere, also most of them at day one are found, but maybe not so many of them, at least that i know of,(when it comes to things i dont know, ill sut up) dont have gameplay breakers, or possible experience breakers.
What about the Chun-Li infinite that Desk showed? its still in... ofc one can dodge the combo, but even then...
i know this stuff will get patched, but i remember days where games would not need hotfixes due to something being broken.
although at the time no such patches were possible, and spreading info on said glitch or error was hard.
i dont like MMO's much, currently i play Vindictus, and thats about it.
unfortunately i fail to see how it would help me appreciate the programing of a game more, because if MVC gets an excuse, then a MMOs are always flawless on that regard.
also i think a Thank You is due, seeming as you gave me a lot of attention :P
(regarding to what you said to CAPCOMsucksit)
Pros should use this after they have the life lead against players with Strider in their team. Time out victory, Dan style!
