really, this video's so informative that its going to make you pay for the dlc? get real, I totally agree with GrapeATL, and you claim there are people who who don't have time to search for the info? why are you on this site then? just a few days ago info was posted on all the dlc and their release dates so no, this video wasn't needed, I like max's videos just as much as the next guy, but although he may just be promoting the alts how's he going to do that when half the stuff he's promoting he doesn't know anything about? he just needed to spend 5mins researching to find where most of these alts came from, at least then we'd have a more informative video.

Dr. Strange's outfit is an alternate costume he wore, starting back in the late 60's, that was to disguise who he was at the time. It is one of my favorite alternate costumes for him, so I am glad it is in the game.
Also, Rocket Raccoon's costume is his original costume from his mini-series back in the 80's -- it's quite a crazy and off-the-wall series.

Man, Max knows nothing about the Marvel guys but he managed to pull Ghost Rider 2099 out of his ass and be correct. It's kind of amazing to me that he could know that and not know Scarlet Spider or World War Hulk.

This video is pretty pointless. Not only is he just showing off the alt outfits that we've not only seen already, but there are tons of pictures online if you want to see what they look like.
If he wanted to make the video somewhat useful, he could have looked up where all of the outfits came from and put it all into one video to help the more clueless people out. Instead he just goes, "Oh, uhhh...I dunno where this comes from" for half of the Marvel ones and some of the Capcom ones.

@36 basically anyone who is even 1% positive about any capcom game is "on their payroll" to these guys. They just happened not to hear him when he was saying PW's costume was corny, and other slight negative comments about others. They must have selective hearing.

well i did not much of the content presented on the vid, and now a know slightly less more.
i saw the post where when the DLC was anounced and all the screenshots, but i did not see the costumes, i just skiped the news, video format now, was a easy view of them, and a chance to learn more about the references than to be looking at comments and searching it my self, granted i only learned like what... 5 references i did not knew, might have not noticed, maybe a bit more, but hey, at least i had the ddue comentating what i was watching, not saying it was entirely needed, but maybe some people only get news about the game trough his channel and only knew DLC costumes were up when they saw the vid.

I agree, this video was pointless. Nothing against Max, but if he had time to make the video, it wouldn't kill him to spend an extra 15 minutes to do some research. Even if he doesn't know for sure if his information is valid, he could just state that.
For those trying to defend they didn't have time: a list of references is far more efficient and informative than this video. The GameSpot slideshow that he used the pictures from already explained all the costumes too, making this video even more pointless. If you want complimentary pictures, just make a new tab and google search it. lol

Felicia's alt is from an old game called Battle Circuit. Firebrand's alt is Red Arremer King. Mike Haggar's costume is from Saturday Night Slam Masters which was NOT his first game appearance. Phoenix Wright's alt is from Trials and Tribulations: Case 1. Hsien Ko's alt is Mei Ling, her sister. Vergil's is Corrupt Vergil, if they had gotten his Devil Trigger mode right it would be the human counterpart to Nelo Angelo (minor boss enemy in DMC 1). Dr. Strange's alt is from his first appearances hiding his secret identity. Ghost Rider's alt IS from the 2099 series as Max predicted. Hawkeye is Ronin, his other alias when he came back to life. Hulk is from World War Hulk. Magneto is from House of M, not a Russian dictator it's when he ruled the world. The Nova costume is actually a brand new costume not yet used in the comics, but will be used in the near future. Rocket Raccoon's alt is actually just an older appearance. Spiderman's alt is actually Scarlet Spider. Taskmaster's alt is from the Ultimate universe. Everything else was mostly right, you're welcome!

I'm sure Max had finished his video or was possibly still working on it, when the other info came out. If you don't like the vid, oh well. tbh i feel the video was directed to the casual players who dont know bout umvc information unless it provided by max or other youtube channels.
Plus doubt Max gets paid anything serious, and defintely wont get a boost if capcom manages to sell more than they expected in DLC. He probably just gets UMVC for free and early, inside information, free dlc etc to allow him to be a first hand source for this type information to help his channel. TBH he probably gets more worth from Google's Adsense than Capcom

further more....the netcode isn't perfect but it is better than vanilla MvC3 and very playable.
The biggest problem isn't really the netcode but rather the fact that the majority of console gamers don't have a fast high speed package, most people buy the cheaper slower package. (Remember now, the term High Speed Internet really only means it ain't dialup).
No amount of netcode is going to make up for having 1 mb down 768k up. It's a piece of code not magic fairy dust.
If you wanna game online, go beg your parents to upgrade to at least 5 mb up 2 mb down. Otherwise you will just keep complaining about lag and the games crappy netcode.
Remember you guys, he did report the Netcode as "steller" in it's per-release form. I swear to god all of you people here are just a bunch of big babies.
