Hit the jump to see the other videos, Mago plays Balrog in part 3 and 4 of the videos.

Fei Long is overpowered.
I'm only using that word because you did #1. Don't start complaining before anyone says anything.
I think Fei Long is too damned good. I'm glad to see his skill applied to different characters, gives his Pro more verification in my eyes.
people always think viper is overpower and super cheap. even some viper players agree.
She's tough to understand. Mostly because people never face good Vipers online.
Same goes with any under exposed character. That's why I find Gen more of a challenge than Ken, Yun or Akuma for instance. Because the characters are know (exposed) you've built strategies to beat them.
That's why characters like Ryu are harder to win with (not saying he's difficult to use) because every bum on the planet know every move he's going to make before he does it.
Exposure: the more practice you get against a character the easier they are to beat.
Btw, Mago should return to Sagat!
@6 lol so true. I hear even marlin pie plays viper and he think shes cheap. I personally hate fighting her and I feel she can cross you up way too easily. Also I don't need to begin to touch on EX seismo lol
@ 7
Indeed Mago should return to Sagat. And Daigo should return to Ryu. People say that top players have to go top tier if they want to win tournaments. I believe that character loyalty makes you better. It makes you become one with the character and that pays off in the end.
Look at Daigo. He won almost everything with Ryu. He picked a stronger character with Yun and his Yun is very strong, but Daigo started to lose more. And now Yun gets nerfed it looks like he goes for Akuma. He's probably going to be a beast with Akuma, but I don't think he'll be so dominant as he used to be with Ryu.
@Samurai
I agree to an extent. I'm a big fan of character loyalty and I too think it pays of in the end.
But Daigo's Ryu was fighting an uphill battle. It was like fighting a modern war using 1960's technology.
Stay with me.
Ryu in Vanilla was great (maybe too great). Ryu in Super was good (solid to say the least). Ryu in AE was subpar compared to his former self (not saying he's bad).
By the end of Super Daigo was downloaded. Every player on planet earth knew how to play against Ryu due to Daigo's popularity and the over saturation of online Ryu's. Plus every pro player had studied his playstyle. Daigo was losing as much or more than he was winning.
Had the character stayed anywhere close to his original version I'd agree that sticking with Ryu would be a good idea for him. But New Ryu basically sucks compared to Old Ryu.
Again, I'm not saying Ryu is a bad character. Solid Upper Mid IMO. Mostly 5/5 or 6/4 match ups. Except Dhalsim, which is one of the most one sided fights in the game lol.
If I were picking for Daigo I'd like to see him play Ken. IMO Akuma is to low on stamina for Daigo. And Akuma needs to be played risky, not Daigo's style... He plays tight, not mix up.
Akuma = Too loose for him.
Ryu = Too tight and exposed
Ken = Just right
Just my opinion.
Shouts to Alex Valle! Most exciting Ryu, man is GDLK.
Daigo only switched from Ryu because they nerfed his crouching medium kick badly (his primary footsies tool) and his corner escape hurricane was great against grapplers and rush down characters (in my opinion).
Ryu is getting rebuffed (though not to vanilla status), so he could switch back. He likes characters with mobility and mix-ups from what I've heard.
Also, I watched every single match in those videos. Beautiful high level play, thanks for posting!
people will start to say that viper and gouki will be overpowered,damn us scrubyy weebos..
