Well this pretty much confirms the "one character, two alts" theory of the last teasers. Mechagief we already knew would be an alt, and here we have Lars, Deejay and Mika alts, all of which were in the teaser trailers. Wonder who ends up with the Dan and Viper alts?
this Is definitely good news. notice how most of the alternates are of chars that are in the game? that would make tekken chars dressed as rmika and sodom a good thing.
atleast I hope its true although charlie and dictator alts may not follow. I personally hope so for the 2 of them.
hm. didnt notice lars and deejay werent confirmed or anything. damn. maybe "most" wasnt the proper word. I hope most or all of these become characters.
I gotta say, gem nonsense aside, these are awesome and funny, I like all of them and some of them made me laugh.
Sort of like...? The Cammy one isn't bad. Chun Li and Bob aren't entirely bad either. The rest I have to see in person. Does this maybe mean no customization?
I wanted the SFIV series characters to reuse thei SFIV series costumes (free if you have already downloaded them in the SFIV games) and for everyone else to get one or two new appropriate costumes. I just don't like these. The joke lasts only a few seconds of being funny. The ones in UMvC3 were far better. Even Felicia's alternate costume of Yellow Iris made sense somewhat. These are ridiculous.
I don't really think its greed that's the reason they won't do create a costume. I believe it's just too complicated when it comes to hurt/hit boxes.
That said, I think they are a cool idea. But if someone is simply in a Juri alt, but Juri isn't in the game I'll be bummed.
They should make an alt costume for Poison where she is a dude. Just sayin.. :D
you people get to butthurt over this stuff. their alternates, you don't have to f**kin' choose them, let alone buy them (if they are DLC that is)
I for one like the alts, especially the Steve X Nash one.
SF4 costumes were cool and made sense. They weren't too distracting apart from Mardi Gras Blanka. But this...

I don't get why people think these are bad, like would you rather have ryu's alt to just be a different hairstyle like they did in MvC3. I like these alts because they actually make the characters look DIFFERENT for once, plus the references are funny.
tho it's a nice idea to give tekken characters sf costumes and vice versa, but this is looks horrendous for many characters : X not digging most of them.

Oh my god... Seriously this is getting ridiculous... Not the alternate costume which are awesome and funny in my opinion but the fighting game community is so spoiled!!! When i hear people saying: "Oh that's nasty to put R.Mika alt cuz some wanted her in the game..." First nothing confirms the fact that she will not be in the game and secondly GET OVER IT!!! I am personally hoping for Blanka, jack-6 and ogre... But i don't whine like a kid if there is no news about them or if they troll!!! They just want to deliver a good game for everybody and people still complain saying stupid thing... And don't say capcom don't give a sh*it cuz this game is pure fan service. I know everybody is still a little shaked and unhyped because of the gems but now we just wait and hope for better thing! Plus maybe gems turn out good who knows?
I may have wrote a lot but my essential message is: STOP WHINING and enjoy!!! Wait and see guys!!!
Honestly, I'm surprised no one has mentioned how Hugo looks like Goro from MK, just minus the extra set of arms.
Poisen and Hugo both look like something from MK.
Also Ryu reminds me of something I saw playing Skyrim.
These costumes are jokes to me. i think the only costumes people want are throwback costumes from previous games.

@56 I don't think I remember all his sf4 alts, but one of them was just ripped clothes and black smudges on his skin, and looking at it from the creator's standpoint, I don't think it's that hard to make and it's boring, but that's just my opinion.
And yea Ryu's (and Ken's) alt in this is kinda corny, but I still would prefer it over what they had in sf4.
And for the people saying it's DLC, where are you getting this info because they still haven't even announced that yet.
Did anyone else notice these are all costumes of characters that are already in the game. I hope this confirms that r.mika and sodom made the roster!! this game needs characters like them. also i believe if you notice most of these costumes are incomplete in a sense....all most like you can create your own and mix and match...like in tekken 6. IDK capcom needs to stop messing around,a majority of ppl already don't like this game...(thanks gems!!)..oh btw i think hugos alternate is a mix of armor king and ganryu...poison looks like yoshimitsu.

@#67 yeah, they'd have tried harder if they were intentional. Guile cosplaying as Charlie and Zangeif cosplaying as Haggar in SFIV -- now thats funny and appropriate. I can't see anything funny or appropriate here.
If Julia had dressed as Juli for example, I'd have liked that and it would have made sense. Ken as Lars I can get but Ryu as Ogre? Its just dumb.

Alts love the UMVC3 alts and have always been a fan of them but these are so ugly and absurd I can't even comprehend just how ugly and stupid these are I know these aren't DLC cuz I don't know anyone who would purchase these... WTF!!
These costumes are even uglier than the actual game, and that's saying a LOT.

This better not mean they wont include Bison as an actual character. Every new reveal gives me less hope for this game. They include shoto sagat but not Bison? Way to go for character diversity.

The hugo looks kinda like Ganryu, but he wears the chains no matter what so it throws it off a bit.
this game ain't worth buying soo i am gonna wait for a super version because i thought they were gonna be characters instead those are costumes for the characters that are in the game i think is ok but is not what i wanted to see in the game soo this game im not buying it until i see characters that are worth it to be in the game
I would actually love it if it were customization like tekken an I don't think that too far fetched seeing how they want to keep some tekken roots in the game an that would be pretty sweet cuz if Sakura makes it and I can customize her it's over with

pretty much the costumes of characters not in the game, are deconfirms or confirms,thats why its called trolling. not just ordinary costumes,so in a way it is character news.

id like to think of these costumes as a "pre-order" list if you get what i mean. Bison, Sodom, Mika etc...the characters are in their costumes to give hope that you will be seeing these characters in the game. maybe the costumes arent legit. it could be photoshop. has anyone seen these costumes used in gameplay? if not my hopes for Bison still being in, is not gone. for Gods sake, we got all of ShadoLaw but the leader, what kind of people would do that?
I think these are hilarious. Poisons looks slick, and I like how they're doing crossovers for the character alts. I'm still mad at trollno for hinting mika and making it be just an alt, but I guess this makes up for it. Now we wait for Mika. :3 I wonder what Sagat's costume is...
There a pattern, street fighter characters are tekken costumes and backwards. I think the costumes will be interchangeable between the universe which would confirm all the characters that shows the costumes that have not yet been confirmed. I'm sure, therefore be confirmed:

you guys got to learn to lighten up a little bit. i admite they look a little weird but maybe this was intentional so you guys would get a good laugh out of this. my only Beef with this is if the costumes are GOD DAMN DLC!!!!!! which they better not be because M.K had free alt costumes and so does Tekken. this would really make me mad if they already planing Dlc months before the game's release.

Some of the choices are a bit odd, but I quite like the Kuma R. Mika costume.
And that said, while I personally don't care for a few of them I'll call this for what it is: fan service. Good old fashioned fan service.

You are right that if it is priced DLC you don't have to buy it and if they take the sf4 route you won't even need to hurt your eyes lookin at an player using it online...

Honestly I think that trollono did that on purpose too see ppls reactions to the idea of alt costumes, but I think #70 n others are right! I feel as if capcom knew they dropped the ball with stf4 to ssf4ae, mvc3 to umvc3 it would be in there very best intrest to give the ppl "which is us" atleast the privilege to creat our own alt costumes plus there not stupid they know that so far the community us again aren't really feeling the idea of mandatory gem system so this would be in their eyes a pacifieng tool which might not n might work to lure back fans that already lost some intrest. Trust me ppl they have their ears on the streets and too much is riding on ono n his staff to screw this up! Not to mention that he also has namcos integrity to up hold let alone his! Itl be off the hook!

Why don't they just let players customize there own characters like in Soul Calibur 4. It's typical that Capcom would take a great character design like Julia and turn her into a slutty version of Chun li -_- It feels like a 14 year kid came up with these designs.

I dont even consider the ink marks as an alternater costume, if I plays someone online that uses them, I always send them a message and tell them to change the costume because it really hurt my eyes to look at them.
By FAR the WORST costume i have ever seen.
The only good costume is the charlie costume but its not even guile who's wearing it. What the hell ?

Inguarentee these are customizable because they Steve looks like they gave him a Charlie top and a different bottom and um good with that and if they are as I think these guys need better skills in that department

I like how people don't even consider the thought that this might hint at a costume creator. Based on the fact that they look like other characters but with some short-comings (For example, Heihachi's Kabuki looks nothing like Sodom's, and it's not blue), this seems very possible. And if not, at least I kinda get to play as Sodom now.

Most of these seem wacky and random. At least the SSF4 and MvC3 ones make sense, these seem too "off-the-wall". I mean, what logical reason does Kuma have to dress up as R.Mika?
This must be a hint of a Costume Creation mode like in Tekken 6.

Well, i would like it, and hasnt ono said in the past that he would like customization on SF characters? and since tekken has had it for a while now, maybe they are using it. i know that that ken is NO LARS!!!!!

Really gets on my nerves when the 'Capcom I Love You no matter how much you f with my head' crew has a go at anyone who doesn't approve with something they've introduced. Let people have an opinion, vent and moan a bit. Capcom do things that make you wanna moan and just because you see no error doesn't mean nobody else will. Just for the record this isn't funny; Dave Chappelle, Katt Williams, Daniel Tosh is funny. Ryu as Ogre to some degree can be described as cool but not funny...
