CAPCOM should really stop trolling Mega Man fans. If they don't want to have MegaMan/X as DLC character they should stop making references to him in-game. It's just unnecessarily rubbing salt in the fans' wounds. Either put him in the game, or stop mentioning the character.

Hope someone posts up a complete list of exactly who these DLC costumes represent. They all look pretty damn good! I'm curious to know who some of them are though.
Joe is showing his middle finger. o.0 and Zero's alt costume is Mega Man X. Obviously X is not confirmed. =( but we still have our hope that original Mega Man will be played from the DLC.

I love Tron's Alt and Zero's alt. Hopefully when Mega Man does come, I can have a full Mega Man team: Mega Man, X (Zero DLC) and Frank West (X DLC). That would be a true blue team.
Megaman.EXE needs to be in since X is an alt.moveset potential would rival dantes.

X-23 in her original X-Men evolution outfit. Pretty sweet.
(For those who don't know, her 1st appearance EVER not in comics, was in the animated series, X-Men Evolution. Similar to Harley Quinn, she was eventually picked up as part of the comics.)
She-Hulk one is my fav. I'll definitely be getting that. But I wonder what other ones will be in that pack? Unlikely to be both my other chars Wesker and Akuma. It'd be GDLK if they were. Anyway, I'm going to enjoy smashing PW in that judge's alt.

It's not an X costume. It's X himself. Yes he plays exactly as Zero, but look at those eyes.. It's X.
Ryu's look is a nod to the original Street Fighter game. He had red hair, and red slippers. the alternate costume also has red slippers. I'm glad they actually changed the models face as well. They could have thrown slippers on Ryu and called it a day.
The Wesker, Jill and Chris costumes were expected to people who played the RE series. Felicia's looks like she's a member of the ThunderCats. Hoooooo! The Hagger costume is the look he got in Final Fight 3. People who played FF3 will recognize it. Finally, I still say Megaman X costume for Zero is a cheap way out to include X into the game. They managed to include Vergil (which has similar moves to Dante) but they refuse to put X in.
Also, my favorites are Spencer, Dormmamu, Joe, Zero (for the lulz), Hulk, MODOK, Jean, She-Hulk, Spider-man, and of course Frank. I think Spencer's is the most well done though, it looks like that's an original character model. I also can appreciate how much more colorful the Marvel ones are than the Capcom.
Those complaining about Ryu's look obviously didn't get the first DLC pack the when it appeared for vanilla then.
My only gripe is that these are on disc. I was wondering why the strategy guide had ALL the DLC costumes in it.
I feel like capcom catered this list to me :D

If you can hack, all of them are free. Hell, the game is free if you steal it. That doesn't count. And they aren't free at all. You have to pay $5 to unlock them if you don't already have Jill or Shuma (a lot of people don't). If anything, they're more expensive than the rest, because you only get 2 costumes for $5. By your 'under $40' logic, they're all free, because any one of them can be bought under the average price.

Good, EVERYONE has one. Regardless of MVC3 basically being dead on arrival, throwing out a handfull of costumes and calling it a day was dumb as hell.

Last time i heard of him before that game was when i was in the comic book store in the 90s and bought issue 1, thoroughly intrigued at this 2099 lineup. I don't remember it being any good. Scarlet Spidey was much better. Very much a huge part of 90s spiderman stories...for better or worse lol.

And as far as Megaman, i'm actually kinda happy with it just being a Zero costume. Now I can use Megaman and actually have him be an awesome high tier character...something that had never before been achieved imo. I'm sure they could have done something better in this game if they tried, but if the old marvel games and tatsunoko were any indication, he doesn't belong in these games anyway.

Young Phoenix Wright! I never would've guessed - or even hoped - what with the plethora of significant and beloved characters throughout the entire Ace Attorney series that this COULD have been... I wonder what Maya will look like.
Also, in the character select screen, when choosing costumes, you cycle through Colors 1~6, then "Color Alt". If a second person chooses the alt costume, they automatically give you Color 1.

Okay I must admit that some of these turned out pretty awesome. I was especially skeptical since the first batch was mostly crap. But some of them are straight up lazy cop outs like Ryu, Strider, Doom, Ironman and Thor. I don't care what history they have for the character. I know that a lot of these are classic looks for in the characters history, but the fact is they look almost the EXACT same as their regular costume with slight color changes and they want us to pay for this crap.
Also somewhere Keiji Inafune is holding an ice pack against his groin cause Capcom just keeps kicking that man square in the balls. X as an alternate costume for Zero? Really? Capcom is a bunch of idiots. Yes, X had Zero's saber in one game but that doesn't mean he should play anything like Zero. Just....ugh....I mean.....ugh.....

Maybe with X Zero, his Sougenmu will change his armor to be "Soul Body" Orange, considering that is the only move I remember that he makes a double of himself (although that it's not a V-ism clone that copies your movements behind you "as you do it")
As a nod to X6, this makes perfect sense, but it's not what we wanted. As a Zero main since TvC, I can't NOT want this Alt, but there's some strong contradictions in doing this.
His name still appears as Zero, his voice is still the same, X never had a Rekkoha, Genmurei (Genmu Zero) was Zero's instant kill attack in X5 as Awakened Zero, and Raikousen was Zero's move in X8.
Anyone who insists that "X is in the game now" just loves to insist on adding fuel to this never-ending fire of hate and spite, and you're nothing but a child.
On both sides of how you view Zero's alternate, drop it and leave it alone. It is what it is.

I am fine with them not putting megaman in the game (playable) now, but when you troll like they just did in ultimate MvC3 that just fuels the megaman fans rage. 2 characters get megaman costumes (Zero has 2), X has his own card. megaman is shown in like 4 ending. I'm a big Megaman fan (especially X), & if he's not in the game then whatever, I understand that. But they had to waste Zero's costume slot on a mimicry of X? C'mon Zero has a ton of material to have a way better looking alt while still respecting the character.

I like Felicia's alt. I was thinking the nun alt, but the way Felicia moves that would have restricted her (we do not want a copy of SSF4. Haggar now has an awesome ponytail to go with his awesome mustache. Spencer just got "RAD", and I have always liked Thor's. Yahoo! Tuesday, Tuesday!

Honestly, to all you MegaMan fans who feel offended by Zero's DLC, are you going to buy it? The answer should be "No" cause logically if someone is offended by something they wouldn't support it. The only ones I really digged were - Iron Man (Iron Patriot), Hawkeye (Ronin), Spiderman (Scarlet Spider) and Taskmaster (Udon variant). Depending on the price, I'm not sure the alternate costumes will be worth the price.

Zero had sooo many alts. I think it would've been cool if they had Zero-series Proto form, because it would also reference the fact that his body was actually a fake (much like how X2 fake Zero is black) and it would serve as the much needed replacement for Black Zero (which Bass Zero took over).
Anyways, as an X fan...personally, this will only be acceptable if he has his own voice. Highly unlikely though given Iron Patriot, Yellow Iris, and I guess Talbain.
Even though X can't use a saber for jack (and those who refer to X6 don't even know what they're talking about), because he has his own versions of most of Zero moves, I can at least resist cringing if he said his own variant of the technique. That is:
-Hadangeki as is, Sonic Slicer, or Twin Slasher
-Ryuenjin as Rising Fire or Magma Blade
-Hienkyaku is fine as is
-Sentsuizan as Ground Dash
-Raikousen as Thunder Dancer
-Sougenmu as Soul Body

When I saw the Mega man X costume, this was literally what I did...
@166 When you die in Ghosts and Goblins, Arthur turns into a pile of bones. When you think about it, that is a pretty graphic death, considering the fact that if you touch a zombie, your skin just disappears. In Firebrand's intro, he is seen on a pile of skulls, probably referncing to the fact that GnG is pretty damn hard and that you will lose a lot, seeing Arthur decay into a pile of bones over and over again. It kinda makes sense that he would fall into bones considering the fact that he looks over 50 but is only 28. Maybe Wolvie can give him some of that healing factor, because Arthur dies too soon (Foreshadowing, Foreshadowing!)
I am not sure of the armor, but for the sake of Capcom's trolling,it reminds me of Bishamon from DarkStalkers
