Combofiend plays his second card filling in for Gootecks this week who's up in Seattle for Northwest Majors. With Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 coming out, Mike and Combo decide to give you guys a sneak peak at some of the best and worst of the game. They also discuss their feelings on players in the scene, and how they will do now that Ultimate is coming out, exposing the FRAUDS in the community, peeling back the veneer of fallacy on the scene to expose the truth!

They are HILARIOUS and make the show reall funny when they host together. Personally I do think Combofiend is the BEST. He doesn't play cheap or use OTG glitches. Just wait the people that did rely and base their gameplay on the OTG glitch WILL BE EXPOSED!!!!
Combofiend and Justin Wong are the easily the top. Viscant/Flocker are both frauds imo. Flocker said those were his favorites, but I bet he wont hold up to that. If they call wolverine/akuma users frauds then noel should have been apart of that conversation. So what if he picks top tier again. That is fraud at its finest. Mike Ross should be a lot better this time around with hulk buffs and storm buffs. Although mikes Storm is fraudulent at the moment. I honestly liked his thor better than his storm.
Good show, It was very funny and entertaining.
@3 Of course he doesn't play using OTG glitches, because that doesn't exist.
@3 I was a fan of his until he started using Hagger for that cheap assist.
@6 Ofcourse he won evo. Wesker doesn't need any meter to get 500,000+ damage, Invincible assist, and Phoenix. No-one is taking that away from him. He had great team synergy. But when you take away someones invincible assist and nerf their main anchor it doesn't matter who it is they will have a tough time remaining at the top.
Viscant didn't have any defense, soon as you get in on him a assist came out and caused a hard knock down for full combo. Now he will be exposed. Just you wait.
Viscant's going to do better than all the old players while the game is new because he knows how to break games down. Within a week or so he'll already know who's top tier and he'll get to work on those characters. He'll probably lose the 1st WNF before he's ready but after that he'll have everything figured out and he'll shut Justin and Combo Fiend up.

Have you actually heard this? In it Viscant analyses UMvC3 throughly and it's obvious that he plays every character in MvC3, has a through understanding of how to play them and will have no problems winning without Phoenix. Contrast this to Combofiend who doesn't seem to give a damn about the characters he's not playing, doesn't even know why Spiderman is good in vanilla MvC3 and has a very shallow analysis of UMvC3. Can you then tell me that Viscant will be exposed in UMvC3 while Combofiend who has lost his She-Hulk won't be exposed?
Viscant: He's very strong. He's always been good at marvel. His Wesker imo is more impressive than his phoenix. He likes to pick the best characters, what's wrong with that? U go to evo to win not to show off obscure characters. Viscant is one of those players that will be really good no matter what.
Clockwork: He put a lot of work into Doom and this time around Doom is 10x better so Clockwork is definitely going to be really strong. Not to mention his favorite character, Strider. I'm sure he's going to be creating most of the technology for strider.
Justin: He's usually good early on but eventually he loses the throne. He still hovers in top 5-10 place but I think that there are players out there who can outplay him. But I will still say that his execution overall is very good.
Combofiend: Rarely drops combos and thinks quickly on his feet. He's also got a lot of creativity and that's where many players lack. Combofiend is KING of MvC3. Let us see if he gets to keep the crown.
Fanatiq: If he stays with the same team he's probably going to fade into the darkness. I just don't see sentinel working out for him. And Magneto no longer have long loops to build meter. Hmm...We'll just have to wait and see.
Flocker: He's good but there's nothing amazing about his setups. He's a very smart and patient player and that's what wins him matches.
Noel Brown: He's similar to Tokido in the sense that they rely heavily on lvl 1 x factor wolvy to get the job done. I think if Noel stays with the same team he will fall short.
F. Champ: He's done well in recent tourneys. He's probably going to hover around the same though.
Marlinpie: He plays viper and does well with her which made him well known. However, he's really bad at blocking and his team overall has very low health. That's usually why he doesn't win but he's good at the game nonetheless.
Mike Ross: His play-style is very basic and his progress is somewhat random. Not your average tournament player as you don't know what to expect. But, I guess that's what make him who he is as a player.
PR Rog: His execution is good. I've always thought of him as being one of the best. His reactions are good and he plays well under pressure.
Floe: He needs to break out of routines. He's not actively anticipating and that messes him up all the time. He doesn't seem all that confident when he's playing either. He's good but when the Floe face is activated he starts to drop combos and it's all downhill form there.
Marn: Same boat as Floe. If he's in a focused state he plays really really well. But when he starts to goof off and act like he doesn't care, he loses.
PLEASE READ THIS!!!
Off topic, I'm sorry.
I have just come from my local Toys 'R' Us (With my kids lol). I have seen the Devils face and it is in form of...
Jazzwares Street Fighter Figures!!!!
How the FU<K can Capcom let this company produce CRAP that looks like this!!!
I am obsoletely OUTRAGED!!! these are the cheapest looking, simply the WORST figures my eyes have EVER had the displeasure of having to look upon!!!
The sculpts are so poor it looks as though a first grader has sculpted them!
Proportions? Wtf are Proportions? Jazzwares doesn't know!
Paint? They've made EVERY body part a COMPLETELY different color! With weird fake tan lotion!
Anyone else like myself who (attempts to) collects all things SF should please comment that this type of shoddy craftsmanship is unacceptable!
@Catalyst
If you've read this PLEASE do an inteview with either a Jazzwares rep or a Capcom rep and find out wtf they were thinking! As of now I'm assuming this must be a COMPLETE JOKE!
First the movies, now the figures. Are the SF property rights a joke that anyone can get their hands on? Has Capcom ever heard of Quality Control? Jesus, I'd have to be Brain Dead to buy these BS things!
Sorry Guys, back to Crosscounter.
Lol, Mike Ross, just HAD to name FC Jago as his first, fraud. Hilarious.
Just to confirm I tested this with X-23 to Hulk and Sentinel
Hulk has only one point of armor on Standing H
Sentinel has NO armor on air normals.
Good episode. I've always picked the characters I loved, and left team synergy/tiers as an after thought. This time though I will take such things into consideration and form some compromise between the characters I really like and what is a practical team.
My team in vanilla was Wesker, Morrigan, and Chun Li. I made them work, had an 85% win rate by the time I traded the game in April to pre-order Ultimate.
Hey, anyone notice there was no ads in that video at all? Weird.
You can tell that Mike Ross doesn't like Jago at ALL after he came on their show. I can't say I blame him.
WOOOOW how is mike gonna put fanatiq on blast? did he completely forget about these sets where mike got blown up?? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xSB7V...
@#26 humanspider:
I'm pretty sure Mike didn't put Fanatiq "on blast". It's all for our entertainment, and for the show >.<
Hi Im Nastyyy's going to decimate some dudes sometime soon. Combofiend will get up top. Someone is going to start destroying with Spiderman, Captain America, and Wesker. Clockwork will decimate as well.
@13 I agree with everything you said....also I think Mike was just making Jokes toward Fanatiq thats his friend after all smh at ppl who took it seriously...And Even though I hate Jago, he won't really be a fraud in this game if you looked at his team and the synergy I mean wtf Mike thats still going to work for him in ultimate.
@10 I wouldn't really pay much attention to anything Wolfeyes say, he is one of the most biased Phoenix haters out there, in his eyes if you had Phoenix you were cheating and your a fraud...Doesn't matter if u had skill with your other characters that doesn't count...
@13 & 30
I don't believe it...... you guys seriously think Fanatiq would "fade"? Even if his team gets nerfed (and F Champ had said that Sentinel is getting buffed greatly) you can bet that he's going to spend hundreds of hours in the lab figuring this game and everyone in this game out. I bet that he's going to reduce Vergil and Strider into some mid tier crap within the first WNF he goes to.
@scytheavatar
F Champ has a weird way of looking a things. But Sentinel DID NOT get buffed. He got nerfed overall. He's already got invincibility frames, they decided to give him a few extra frames that's not really that big of a deal because Sentinel is predictable. What hurts Sentinel is that he can no longer do extended combos into hyper sentinel force. I truly believe that if Fanatiq stays with MSS he will do poorly against the other players. Not because he's inferior but because his characters are no longer as effective. Magneto still has most of his tools but a lot was taken away. Sentinel without combos into Hyper Sentinel Force and DHC glitch is no longer a threat. Storm without meter from Magneto is difficult to make a comeback. Her combos don't deal a lot of damage. Even if he does win the first WNF that means very little because everyone is trying out potential teams and he's playing characters that he knows fully well. Give it a few months and you'll see.
OOPS yeah @31 I don't think Fanatiq will fade...he's super solid the stuff he do with storm no one else can not even Justin Wong
So yeah 13 thats where I disagree
@32
F Champ confirmed that Sentinel has hyper armor in his air attacks during flight mode. He has tried out Sentinel in UMvC3 many times and that's not something he can make a mistake about. Either way you do realize both Magneto and Storm has new tools, do you? And the drones are the best assist to take advantage of those new tools, very soon people will be complaining about how broken being sucked into the drones are.
@30 I played phoenix day 1. I rape with phoenix, but I can't even give myself credit for winning with her. Sometimes I even put her on point and still destroy in ranked matches. Why would I give anyone else respect? I know how fraudulent she is. Justin Wong and Combofiend don't respect phoenix players so I'm in good company.
It's not cheating everyone can pick her. I just believe it takes more skill to use some of the other less boring characters in the cast. As to why I rarely play her and can use the entire cast competitively.
Sure we wont be seeing you around umvc3 lmao
@37 Not respecting Viscant for his team is fair game, but to discount his abilities is silly. He picked a team he felt he could win with and he did. If people like J Wong and Combofiend are against that, that's on them. If you are a progamer, you play with all the tools offered to get the W, not by your own made-up rules of what's honorable or worth respect. That's an attitude more for casual play. Either way, Viscant will break down the game just like before, and find something that works.
Some of you are also disregarding some of the players that used Phoenix that were more than adequate at securing a win before they even got to Phoenix, and that's hard because you spend at least the first half or two thirds of the fight not using meter in case you need phoenix, so you are practically fighting with a self-imposed handicap. Viscant has a deadly Wesker with great setups, Filipino Champ has an amazing Dormammu, and Flocker has a Zero that's at least as good, if not better, than Marns.
No pro can really be counted out with all of these new characters and changes though.
Keep lying to yourself wolfeyes...Its true the more you do it the more you start to believe yourself
I've been called a troll for saying it, but here they say the same thing.
No respect for top tier.
Wolv, Akuma, Wesker, Mag, Sent., Phoenix - No respect at all. Total fraud players who will disappear into the night or switch to another cheap team. Lame players.
na trolls will only disagree with you. People like #40 just mad he going to have to change his name. lmao... scrub
MIKE "Voyeur" ROSS : http://www.flickr.com/photos/55049200...
@8: Oh shuzz lol. For one, he dropped Hagger immediately, two he's won every tournament so far with a none SSS rank team. Of course you'd be frustrated to hell if you know you're better than someone, but a mash on hagger or Tron will beat you. =D This is M3, its not always pure skill
Im 4 minuets into the video, but really? Nemeses, hawkeye, spencer? ;-;
Wolfeyes You are so dense its funny... Your such a fraud its hilarious, you say Phoenix is not a problem for u but you do more ranting about Phoenix than anyone on this site, you can keep praying that capcom nerfs her so much you can finally deal with her...But guess what. Unless they give her 100 health, no projectiles , no teleports, and limited walk mobility your scrubby azz will have to continue to come on here lie and rant about a character u can easily beat and hate on anyone who uses her.
Stay free scrub. Ask for a name change, because your going to need it.
Wolfeyes the day I get a name change is the day you can beat a Phoenix without lying about it....
I think bottom tier whores are worse than top tier whores. At least with the latter, you get practice. But against former, all you get is whining.
Anyone can main top tier characters just like how anyone can pick low tier characters. Picking low tier doesn't guarantee you respect just like how picking top tier doesn't guarantee you wins.
Honestly, the title made me think there was actually going to be gameplay.
