It seems that the troll train has yet to stop chugging along at Capcom HQ after an image of Thor's ending has surfaced showing Megaman Classic making a cameo.

With every mention of the little blue turd I find myself thinking of this video everytime.
I'm sure the whiners will somehow get over it and find SOMEONE to play out of the 50 characters.
Seriously, that's messed up. Why would you do that to your fans? Oh yeah! Because they're still butthurt over Inafune leaving.
They're still acknowledging Megaman to be one of their main icons. Why would anyone get mad over this...?
Also Wolverine Nemesis confirmed.
Maybe it isn't a troll. Maybe they are advertising mega man so people will buy him as dlc.
bunch of cameos but no megaman
megaman cards
megaman in an ending
megman as one of the people in the Future Past and he aint captured or dead
Zero with a megaman alt/color
They even gave us galatus (its just a mode) where is basically a win every time using him instead of megman
-Insert explicit language-
Capcom really just needs to confirm him as future DLC or not. As it is appearing (Or just plain fact) that they want to mess with Inafune and the fans. They managed to say who was absent from DLC in Vanilla from both Capcom and Marvel, just get it out already.
On another note: Nice Jill alt.
Lol every time Capcom trolls megaman fans, I love them that much more.
Come on. Isn't this enough? Now CAPCOM really wants to pi$$ off the Mega Man fans. They really hate the Blue Bomber.
the megaman haters seem more annoying then the fanboys themselves. I bet you haters will be hella salty if he turns out being dlc. then the annoying "wasted slot" cries will begin. there is no peace in the FGC. never.
Maybe they just hate the Blue Bomber's fans, and rightfully so. You guys are frickin annoying with all that Megaman whining.
@16: I'll play with Mega Man. I love Mega Man.
@17: That's what I think. And I still believe they want Mega Man dead. All we get is an overrated reploid and a geeky little girl that needs a boyfriend. Not enough.
@18: That's why I hate CAPCOM.

@19
I forgot about that
they have tron and zero from megaman
I wont call these cameos TROLLING from Capcom but if they add another person from megaman and not megaman himself as DLC then it is 100% trolling. Even if they add Protoman, Gutsman, the guy with the saws I would calling it trolling.
AND IF THEY ADD ROLL INSTEAD OF MEGAMAN I WOULD JUST FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
@27: I don't know and I don't care. This has crossed the line.
It's funny that some of you get so annoyed by people genuinely wanting to play a character they REALLY like. Especially because so much of the FGC just plays characters they have no clue about just because they are a good character.
Character loyalty may not always win tournaments, but people can be fans of whichever character they want, regardless of whether X/Megaman gets added and ends up being good or not. Even if they might come off annoying to you, they are at least showing some true fandom and not just picking characters that are proven good at tournaments.
(How many of you even knew who Taskmaster was before MVC3? Spencer? I have a lot of really nerdy friends, and none of them knew about those two until MVC3 for example. Yet if you look at tournament results, after Combofiend started playing his team all of the sudden you have tons of other people playing those LAME characters too, just because they are good.)
I hope they add Dr. Wily instead of Megaman.
@31
There is nothing wrong with playing characters because they are good in the game. If playing good character increases our enjoyment of the game then ppl should be able to do so. Whatever helps someone enjoy the game is fine.
Anyway no one is annoyed that people want to play as MegaMan. They're annoyed that people are taking his exclusion from the game as a personal attack on them individually, which is just silly.
@21 Jarkyttaa
No, I am too. Dont care for mega man, but the credits music in MvC3 was nice. They could've at least used a new original end theme if they were gonna get rid of the first one.
#31 how did anyone not know Spencer? At least the classic one... (the BC reboot was great, in my opinion, BTW)
@40 No respect...by actually including his image all over. Yeah, that's clearly proper reasoning.
Listen people, with Megaman's acknowledgment in-game is a sign of respect. It also shows that they respect him enough to add him alongside Ryu and Morrigan.
Since when has a cameo been a negative thing?
I'd rather have Protoman than Megaman in UMvC3
>How many of you even knew who Taskmaster was before MVC3? Spencer?
Not speaking for everyone, but I sure as hell did. Especially with Taskmaster playing a pretty decent sized roll in the Marvel U when the game first came out, not to mention all of the older comics with him and Deadpool.
One thing I don't get is how someone can say that Gambit is their favorite marvel character but aside from MvC2 and maybe after remembering a few episodes of the 90s cartoon, know nothing about the character or what they're currently up to.
This is the farthest thing from 'trolling'. Capcom is pretty much cementing Classic MM as a part of the MvC universe, and with that the door is left open for him as a potential DLC character in the future. Seriously, why Megaman fans get angry whenever he pops up somewhere is beyond me...
It's one thing to give proper cameos to other Capcom faces that, unfortunately, couldn't make it into the game (Spiral, Gambit, Son-Son, etc)to act as fan service for those heartwarming moments.
It's a whole other story to continue and continue and CONTINUE to make every attempt to poke at the MegaMan fans over and over again when it is HIGHLY impossibel for them to not know that he is the most requested character since Vanilla.
Zero's win quote about X.
X being a card.
MegaMan's inclusion in Days of Futures Past poster, with NO label above him.
His cameo in Thor's ending.
When is it enough?
That isn't fanservice.
At this point in development, AND overall known knowledge of what's been going on with Capcom and the MegaMan franchise as of late, that is nothing but beating a dead horse, and that is just plain f*cked up on their part.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_Ueyw...
Capcom's trolling Roll fans all over the place between this ending and her Heroes and Heralds card. She's a classic MvC character and is even in TvC, why isn't she in Ultimate?
@47 & 46
True, but Fujiwara (Other guy who helped) left Capcom a LOOONG time ago giving Megaman to Inafune, hence why he is mostly known for it and why people use him as like a leader when something involves Megaman.
Also its been stated Capcom has full out denied Inafune when he offered to help on future projects. So thats does show abit of spite.
@55
If they're not going to do anything with MegaMan, then they should leave him out.
Cameos and all.
This is doing nothing but fuel the fire for people to further spite MegaMan fans.
If they're to put all this effort to make his face pop up more and more thru Ultimate, KNOWING how badly fans want him to be a playable character, they should at least own up to all they're doing by making him. Period.
@56
But at the same time, they put in the characters that Inafune actually cares about and created over Mega Man, so not really. And why would they let him work on Capcom projects when he left Capcom? lol
@57
Or they're trying to make people who want to see Mega Man happy? If these cameos weren't there, it would be "ALL OF THESE CARDS AND CAMEOS AND STILL NO MEGA MAN? THE SERIES IS DEAD!"
@60 That's your sole opinion.
You chose to view a cameo in a negative light, therefore, you get to experience the bitterness that comes from it.
I on the other hand enjoy the cameos, and look at them as hope. Will it happen? I don't know.
But I'm not as unreasonable to think that a nice cameo is meant to flame. Or else I should be raging about all the other cameos that I wanted in.
Anyways, I have one final thing to say.
No. End Argument.
@62
Let me know when Spiral or Beat the Bird has as much of a following and fanbase as MegaMan.
And have their face plastered at different ends of a new game.
That everyone expected to be in from the beginning.
And see how you feel about it when they decide to have them as nothing but cameos.
Anyone who's a part of that fanbase can't not help but feel stabbed, once again.
Hope? There's always DLC, but at this point, there's not much air left to hold your breath on that one.
Again, you saying "No" doesn't do a damn thing in fully answering my original post. Just like me, that's what you think.
Neither of us are right, nor are we wrong, but we are so in the different ends of this spectrum.
ChunLi speaks the truth.
@50Sent
You ever seen a someone dangling a biscuit over a dog's head, and when the dog tries to jump up and get it, the person raises their hand just so it's out of the dog's reach?
That's what Capcom is doing with Mega Man.
@31
Hello, I knew about both Taskmaster and Spencer before MvC3, and play them both because of those appearances. 'Sup? (I don't think there's a single character in Vanilla or Ultimate I didn't know beforehand, actually)
Don´t Worry Megaman will be in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 - Arcade Edition or in UMVC 3 via DLC. Don´t Worry.
Read the comment again jtir123.
It said @50Sent.
I quit listening to any reasoning to had at comment 50. You're just a dumbass to me right now, really. Might as well have qued "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WHhMH3__74M" when ChunLi put you in your place.
@68
I can't tell if you're trolling, or just plain stupid.
For alot of people, MegaMan was a HUGE part of our childhood.
That comparison with a dog and it's biscuit is very much so a great one, but if you're too busy trying to undermine everyone's logic, you'll never understand and I highly suggest you stop.
Invoking these arguments when people are totally right only make you seem more and more like an a$shat.
I hope they release Megaman as DLC, but charge an unusually high 15 dollars for him, because you crying fans would probably pay anything for that blue midget.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_Ueyw...
Enjoy Megaman fans ;)
Another ending, another troll attempt.
@74
The Cornered theme fits this perfectly, because you're changing up your opinion.
It's not an "issue" to you now?
To you, this is something to be, simply, taken lightly?
You have no right to say that this issue is not rightfully so when thousands of people around the world view it as one.
You're just another one to add to the many who spur up arguments in the name of being spiteful and nothing more.
@61
Why not let him still help out? It would make sense if he was fired, but to leave on your own because you wanted a new scene shouldn't get the automatic "No", especially considering all he has done for Capcom. It would be like Batman denying Nightwing because he wanted to be his own man.
Short summarize of ChunLi's thoughts: Megaman fans just want a straight answer about any future appearance. Cameos are nice, but there also a bitter reminder of what could of been. Especially with all the the cancelations as a even more grim memory.
@79
Spiral's cameo was funny.
Fin Fang Foom's cameo was funny.
MegaMan's cameo in 2 endings, and his face plastered on a stage is not funny.
MegaMan's franchise having 4+ games being canceled back to back, that's not funny.
Insisting that MegaMan's face get used in UMvC3 when he didn't even appear ONCE in vanilla, that is not funny. (Trigger's appearance doesn't count, that's not Classic.)
There's a fine line between making a jab and beating a dead horse.
Others, whom are NOT fans of MegaMan, can see these as harmless cameos, but for those who are fully aware of what has been going on with the Blue Bomber, that is nothing short as a slap after slap in the face.
thats just great, we cant have a decent Megaman cameo without people whinning.
If megamans not gonna be in the game, then of course,he's gonna make a cameo, to you guys, if he's not in the game, he shouldnt get ANY cameo or reference or else its considered a troll? Thats stupid, I want him in the game bashing any cameo as trolling is ridiculous.
Lol, wolverine Nemesis, watch that be either one's alt. XD
personally, if capcom put mm.exe/bass.exe in as playable characters, i would be damn happy.
@83 Don't get me wrong. I'm a huge fan (though my bias hails back to the classics), but my underlying argument happens to be this:
We do not know the intent behind these cameos. It could be a good and harmless intention, or it COULD be intentional trolling. But is it fair to assume that Capcom Japan is some kinda conspirator, out to piss off fans out of their own amusement?
In my opinion, no it's not. In that respect, I'm sure we'll never agree.
@86
Again, in this point of development, with the known knowledge that Capcom is FULLY AWARE that there are countless people who have wanted MegaMan since the very beginning, honestly, what is the possibility of them putting him as simple cameos in endings and a stage *and should ONLY be interpreted* as "harmless fun"?
Goes right back to the dog w/a biscuit comparison.
@91
Universe and Legends 3, they were known.
There were rumors of the Maverick Hunter X and Powered Up games getting more entries, and any possibility of the next MegaMan ZX game is all but an idea at this point.
I'm looking past just the known ones that have been canceled, the possibilities of any other MegaMan title that *could* come out is gone.
A while back, I was on the opposite side of the fence with the Mega Man issue. I'm a Mega Man fan through and through, but I could live without him being in MvC3.
Now though? Capcom is pushing the limits with these cameos.
I agree with ChunLi - it was perfectly fine in vanilla where he wasn't seen at all (aside from Volnutt's appearance in Tron's ending but that was to be expected). But now? He's all over the place in the game. They're going out of their way to troll at this point.
I'm not as furious as some are, but now I can definitely see where many Mega Man fans would be pissed, and have a right to be.
One reference, fine. But when he's popping up in multiple endings, has multiple cards, etc.? I'd prefer they didn't mention him at all.
While Classic Mega would be cool, I'm hoping for X. But with X being card, and classic making all the cameos, it's looking like classic has the better chance of making it in.
F*** mega man, he's so twenty years ago. I want Servebot!
Are you guys really arguing over a character? It is solely based on opinion on whether or not he MegaMan should be in or not. Trying to force your opinion on somebody over the internet is like trying to teach a dog how to speak english, it's not going to work. I can't believe some of you will really sit here and argue over why he's making a cameo, or why you shouldn't hate him, NO ONE CARES ABOUT WHAT YOU THINK, THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THEIR OWN OPINION.
Face it if Megaman made it in as dlc he'd very likely be nothing more than a cruddy version of Zero. He was trash in MvC2 and nobody played him regardless of his popularity and Capcom icon status. Let another franchise's character claim a spot on the roster such as Date Masamune or Gene from Godhand
@103 I think you proved my point with that underwhelming set of moves you listed.
@ Chun Li. Look dude you are entitled to nothing. Megaman got canceled because the sreator left the company? Good. Who wants second hand crap anyways. Strider's Uroboros was a level 1 super in MVC2. Should it be that way in MVC3? Obviously the developers say no. Just get over the fact that he's not in the game and hope for some DLC for him. The Megaman franchise is one step away from getting nothing for a very long time. So just be glad Capcom thought about YOU enough to include him at all.
You wanted megaman so much so yeah, here is your megaman
http://img607.imageshack.us/img607/50...
I see that the character ending is still as worthless as a piece of crap
@107 Good enough for me.
Actually, Zero is good enough for me. Anyone who played the Megaman X games can tell you that Zero was a helluva lot stronger than X, and he told him one day he'd be as strong as him, making him seem like an older brother to X.
Personally, I'd want the stronger jump-and-shoot man. With a sword.
Anyone that keeps on using that same excuse that "oh, Mega Man was crap in MvC2." You know who else was crap in MvC2?
Wolverine
Ryu
Chun-Li
MvC3/UMvC3 has this miracle engine where every character is good or at least viable.
Shut the f*** up.
@110 'Every character good or at least viable.' Best lay of the crackpipe, eh?
@ 109 it's like those cry babies that wanted Ken when Ryu is in the game.
WHAT's THE POINT?
Ken is not Dhalsim or Ehonda or Dudley or Q or Remy
Ken is a SAFE character plain and simple.
You like one ur gonna like this one.
Zero is too much like X
I wanted Blade but I can see their point about the similarities to Dante and I got over it.
WE ALL KNOW X IS TOO MUCH LIKE Zero...GET OVER IT. Please!
@ 107 this is so interesting. It could be the ultimate troll I have ever seen comming from capcom, or it could be a lame and desperate attempt to get some of the megaman fans to buy the game (because of lack of money or time, whatever yo want to imagine). Anyway is still a quite strange move that will surely convince some megaman fans to get the game, unfortunately I'm not one of them. I just don't like what they're doing and the business model that they're following. I'm done with any capcom fighting game for now and I'll stay with arksys to do the job. Maybe I'll consider capcom again in the future but I dont see it happen soon.
All the others that stay with capcom stay happy, just dont spend too much money on DLC :)
@ #112
In comparison to the clone infested MvC2, yes. Every character has a better chance at success in MvC3/UMvC3 than in MvC2.
I feel so bad for Megaman fans.
And yet, I laugh. CHOO CHOO.
Re: Other cameos/Trolls - Don't forget Volnutt being in Tron's ending, and also the Days of Future Past stage.
