EG|Justin Wong has shared some opinions about Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 on Twitter recently. There are some interesting remarks about the power of some assists and overall balance of the game.
EG|Justin Wong: Strider's [teleport kick] assist is one of the best in the game, easy.
[Frank West's] Shopping Cart assist is so cheap. Reminds me of Akuma's tatsu assist but better since it leaves the opponent grounded.
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 really reminds me off Super Street Fighter 4 in terms of balance. Fun fun fun.

totally agree with jwong about strider's teleport kick assist... it tracks down opponent, its overhead, can be anti-air since its coming from above, lots of potential of mix-ups and setups, the only thing that can stop/cancel this is when strider comes out and get hit before teleporting, just watching from maximilian videos specially the new one playing with pros this will be such a good assist specially if your anchoring strider!
Good to know I can have a totally good, possibly cheap assist in one of the characters I like with Frank. And apparently Nick's Press the Witness assist is the best assist ever in Turnabout mode, so I'll abuse that too. Team Average Joes fo' life.

Frank looks super amazing, but I already promised my boys Iron Fist and Phoenix Wright I'd make teams for them first.
Watched Maximilian's video and that's one of the things that I noticed, strider's dive kick assist is just way too good. Insanely fast, overhead, almost never miss, it's almost like a improved version of doom's missile assist, and it's 100 times more annoying.

His dive kick assist is NOT an overhead, I blocked it low many times at the last flight club I went to
I'm not gonna trust anything anyone says until we're at least a month in, lest we remember that sir Arthur and Sentinel were thought to be god-like at first?
By the way, what happened to all the Firebrand haters? Did they finally realize he isn't Wolverine with wings? Maybe they just gave up, either way thank god, can't wait to try him out.

That was always my preferred assist for Strider in MvC2 anyways.
