If this still works in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom do you guys think that it will be patched? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
Yeah, but what's the point of hiding new technology? If no one knows about it then it doesn't get used and capcom doesn't remove it. If it does get shown then people can implement it and Capcom might remove it.
So it basically affects the community in the same way either way (This is GimR btw)
it might've been removed, but even with increased scaling the infinite might still work since the hitstun is REALLY high on an air Bonne Strike
@2
That isn't always the case. Look at Jill. Apparently she had some hidden tech that nobody knew about and was game changing and they STILL removed it. So it really doesn't matter if the community knows about it or not, but making a video about a broken aspect in the game just makes it more apparent too capcom.
so should I be hiding stuff that advances the metagame?
Drill ignores hitstun scaling..... This is why reduced hitstun scaling never works in fighting games. Because the system will essentially mess up the continuity of combos moves must be made that ignore the hitstun scaling rule and these moves eventually are found and infinites are created. If they had just kept Marvel 2's dizzy system we'd never have these problems 50 hits max unless it's a super, increased damage scaling to the point where loops don't kill.
@6
I don't really care what you do, all I'm saying is in the video they talk about not wanting it to get removed, yet they post a video about it. If capcom didn't know about it they probably wouldn't have touched it and left it, but they could still patch it later if it changes the metagame way too much. Also there is a difference between advancing the metagame and just plain broken.
don't listen to anyone who says "don't reveal it". what's the point then? doing it only online in fun matches? only knowing it, but never using it?
new technology should ALWAYS be shared. wheather capcom thinks this is too strong or not is something we can't predict.
on a side note, seeing that tron loses her godlike assist, it might stay.
GodIsMyRock has a point. If it is worth keeping secret, then it would be because you want to use it. If you want to use it, it won't be kept secret. One could argue that it should be saved to use in a big tournament though, but I guess these guys don't feel that they will ever be able to win a major, even with this infinite, and decided to give it to the community, so someone with that ability might use it for results before it gets removed... Or something
@5 Thats different though, nobody really used Jill because they thought she was too weak. So nobody dscovered anything, at least nothing worth noting. Seth said so even before the game came out that Jill had some really broken stuff no one has discovered. Probably so broken they had to remove it for UMvC3.
Since Jill was hardly used, Capcom felt any tech that was undiscovered AND broken was not worth keeping. It's kind of like "Well, they won't miss it." And if you did, it's too bad, should have played her more.
Good stuff gimR and I LOVE your gamertag by the way.
@8 NO way. Doing that would invalidate the majority of the cast, characters that have a hard time dealing damage would never even come close to compete. It would be like MvC2 alright where 4 or 5 characters are viable and the rest is garbage unless they are made special. Hsien Ko might be weak but that does'nt mean she can't beat a pro Wesker. Thats what maks MvC3 awsome, even low tiers have a chance to shine.
Capcom already got it, guys.

"Untechable time from Air Bonne Strike decreases with combo length."
#16 what you said makes no sense at all. Lots of characters had loops in MVC2 from Ken, to Hayato, to Cyclops and Blackheart. Loops has nothing to do with what made characters top tier in Marvel 2. What made a character top tier was a character's movement or their ability to limit movement. Please don't go around making false statements about games you're supposedly a fan of.
I'm pretty sure its been out for a long time;

Skip to 0:28 I know its not the same exact setup or combo, buts it is a similar.
(IGNORE THE FOLKS WHO SAY "HIDE DIS SO CRAPCOM WON'T GET IT"
The point is, if it's out there - either Capcom can FIX it, or someone can USE it.
We're not in the Dark Ages anymore, folks - let's act like it.)
Someone can test it on UMvC 3 right now, since a bunch of people apparently already have copies.

I LOVE HOW HARDCORE THIS FGC IS AND HOW META IT IS BECOMING.
"I know that you dont know about this broken thing X I found, but I also know that you read forums and watch tournament footage to look for broken things, so I wont reveal the broken thing so that I get to keep it as an element of surprise"
Rogue Yoshi is boss. He breaks MVC3 like a walk in the park. First the quicksilver glitch and now this infinite, who knows what else technology he has found and is keeping under wraps
wubwubwubwubwubwuuuuuuuuuuuubwubwubwubwubwubwubwuuuuuuuuuuuubwubburfburfwubwubwubwubwubwuuuuuuuuuuuubwubburfwubburfwubwubwubwubwubwuuuuuuuuuuuubwubwubwubwubwubwubwuuuuuuuuuuuubwubwubwubwubwubwubwuuuuuuuuuuuubwubwubwubwubwubwubwuuuuuuuuuuuubwubwubwubwubwubwubwuuuuuuuuuuuubwub
wubwubwubwubwubwuuuuuuuuuuuubwubwubwubwubwubwubwuuuuuuuuuuuubwub
sigh. I hate people like Rogue Yoshi. Rather than help Capcom make a better game so that everyone can enjoy it and have a longer lasting legacy and better balance he'd rather hide techniques he discovers so he can use it once or twice before they fix it.
It is just selfish, stupid, and poor sportsmanship.
I don't think RogueYoshi discovered this. I've seen a few Tron Bonne users implementing this infinite. It's also on quite a few Nico Nico D videos.
Yeah, if you didn't want her to get nerfed you really shouldn't have posted a video of the infinite... There are things called patches that they can make for the game even after release you know...
