There are two more clips after the jump, one covering how unsafe Frank West's meter building assist is and a new trick Hsien-Ko has up her sleeve.

Laughing my butt off at Dark Phoenix Wright.
Wasn't intending on using the meter build assist for Frank anyway, all about dat camera.
Neat, she gets jump cancels. Too bad that doesn't help her get in or zone and her air dash is even worse now that she can't block out of it.
Actually at 0:07, the X-Factor Level says Normal, not level 3 for the Phoenix level 3.
Now I'm really interested in how much damage Wright's Level 3 would do if X-Factor 3 is activated O_O
There was is guy who kept arguing with me about how much damage the level 3 X-Factor of Phoenix Wright lvl 3 hyper would do. I said it would one shot 90% or more of the entire cast. I was wrong. It will 1 shot the whole cast. Not even highest level of X-factor and it did more than a million. Proved everyone wrong who argued with me.
Meh, Wrights still not gonna be easy to use, he still is the High Risk =High Reward character.
@2
Hsien-ko's gongs said hi
No this has to be a joke....I'm almost certain they will nerf this. P.W. can't be doing so much damage. What happened to the logistics of characters? Raging demon doesn't even instant kill or leave you with 1hp. Smh...these characters aren't suppose to be titans.
I really wish they would have kept Phoenix OP so there could have been legendary Phoenix vs Phoenix battles lol I'm loving this now everyone is gonna flip about wright insted of Phoenix
@21
Wright isnt an easy character to use, he's balanced with big limit statistics that aquires skill to make up for his level 3 and turnabout mode.
@21
Any character can kill with level 3 X Factor.
Hulk can kill in like 3 hits.
@24
hulk doesn't have a fullscreen otg 0 frame hyper that does 600,000 unscaled damage without x-factor last i remember. Im sure pros wont use him considering it would be hard for them to get out the turnabout mode on another pro. I would treat Phoenix Wright like Phoenix and get rid of him asap
How come all these folks get an early copy? What a bunch of poppycock!
@Anyone crying over Dark Nick's Lv.3
You need:
-X-Factor = Not hard to get, considering you start the match with it.
-3 Correct Pieces of Evidence = You need Maya and correct assists so you're not caught collecting evidence and die because of it.
-Landing an Objection = The hardest thing to do, considering that it comes out super slow and you pretty much have to catch your opponent sleeping or use it during a combo w/assist or after Maya's Hyper.
Playing Nick is a gamble in itself, because you're giving up everything that MvC3 is built upon to, literally, play your own game to get to Turnabout Mode as fast as you can.
If you can't rush Nick down to where he has no opportunity to collect evidence at all, or if you let him land an Objection, then you're Guilty.
No alibi.
No justice.
No dreams.
No hope.
Wright is nowhere near as strong as Vanilla Jean Grey.
People seem to forget that there are numerous requirements to get into tournabout mode. Sure, collecting evidence can be completed pretty fast, but against a decent rushdown character, it will be difficult nonetheless. Second, he has to use X-Factor to 1-shot kill a character, which is a limited resource that might be spent better in other circumstances. And third, after killing a character, he’s back to basic. From what I could make out, Level 1 X-Factor is almost over after his Level3 an tournabout mode should be halfway to the end, too. And then everything starts from scratch, except he has no X-Factor left.
Phoenix (Jean) on the other hand could kill three characters with simple teleports and basic combos during X-Factor with "only" five bars (Wright needs nine).
My guess is people are jumping the OP-bandwagon as soon as the game hits shelves, realize they have to put work into Wright before he becomes really good and then go back to braindead Dante/Wesker/Sentinel teams.
@ People crying.
Run until turn about mode's over and don't press a button/Try and attack PW? e.g. Derp Kick.
Also, to add to ChunLi's post... even if you get turnabout you're racing a different clock than you were when fighting Dark Phoenix in vanilla. In vanilla you were either racing the X-Factor clock or the Fight Clock. The only thing you're racing against Dark Nick is his turnabout mode clock because once that hits 0, all the evidence is gone and he has to restart collecting evidence and hit you with yet another objection.
@32
The command normals that Hsien-Ko can now jump cancel are her main anti-air moves. To be able to JC on block and do an air gong, and then land and throw a ground gong, makes her a lot harder to get in on. This is what I hope, at least. Other than that it'll open up her somewhat limited combo potential.
Maining Phoenix Wright til AAI2 comes out.
'Nuff said, pal!
I know its apples to oranges but when mvc3 first came out everyone was saying before the game was release"pfft she has no health! she is too high risk to win tournaments!its too hard to get the 5 bars before you get rushed down! she's not that good!".. Evo rolls around and everyone agrees Phoenix is the best character in the game.. Now ppl are saying before umvc3 comes out " he's too high skilled, hes too high risk, its too hard to get turn about mode before you get rushed down, he's not that good!"
I'm not saying hes the next Dark Phoenix, not even remotely close, but we were wrong before... Lets just wait until the game comes out and hopefully you guys are right
(FGC....please forgive me for my transgression...I'm sad right now...but I can't give up hope....)
Also even though I wont play wright, I'm interested to see the creative play that teams based around him will bring.
Holy crap. What happens when you mash it out during lvl 3 X-factor?
@#30,31,35,36
1. Its not hard to get his evidence or get to turnabout mode, all you have to do to get to turnabout mode is get one hit confirm into combo and land your objection. That includes TAC's as well. Not only that, after killing someone, he can gather evidence again before the next victim even comes out.
2. Turnabout mode phoenix Wright will do amazing damage and will have better zoning tools than Arthur in upgraded armor and x-factor mode. Have any of you guys seen the video's??? In a regular combo he can destroy you. And we haven't even seen what he can do in good hands. Who know's what crazy stuff he'll be capable of when people get their hands on him.
3. Once he hits that turnabout mode, you have to run, thats it. And if he hits x-factor, he can chip you to death with his zoning and fingers.
4. Do I have to repeat myself again? 0 frame 600,000 unscaled damage full screen hyper without x-factor. 100% kill on all casts with level 3 X-factor. When he turns to Dark Phoenix Wright, Dont mess up on your keep away.
5. Im not comparing him to vanilla Phoenix. Of course she would be more scary. Im just saying that its a possibility that this guy could turn into a monster. Seth knows that. look at his posts. He calls him a beast.
@32
When I play Hsien-ko, i usually Jump, then use her H version of her Gongs like 2-3, then air dash(walk) behind them, they act as a shield if the opponent tries to get you and leaves for open opportunities but its not easy, you need to know exactly what to do.
Characters Like Hsien-ko,Arthur,and MODOK needs to work with what they have and assists but they can stand on their own if you know their way around.
@46
Wright IS a beast, however he is a high risk to become a beast, and is truly a beast if you actually manage Wright the right way and not just random evidence pick up.
-Poor Mobility and low health
-Maya can be used ONCE a time, you cant use her hyper if she's already on the screen from another move, thus cant Xfactor cancel to the same move, and apparently if you use her too much, she wont come anymore.
-Objection overruled knocks you back to Investigation mode,also cant Xfactor cancel(Turnabout mode, probably)
-All the work is for 1, notice, ONE move, that absorbs 3, THREE meters, its not gonna be easy to just gather evidence and do your hyper, then expect to do it again and get another 3 meters.
@#48
1. Maya's hyper isn't that good and no one is gonna waste meter anyway because they will save it for the lvl 3 hyper.
2. poor mobility and low health...when covered with assists and great zoning tools I think thats a minor obstacle. Not only that but he hasn't been opened up to his full potential yet. We don't know what he's truly capable of yet.
3. Objection overruled...again i don't think you'll see people wasting his meter on his lvl 1 hypers unless they can kill with it.
4. All that work is for many moves. His lvl 3 hyper( again instant kill on all casts with x-factor), His ridiculous zoning tools(like i said, better than armored x-factored arthur), and his giant finger( which does ridiculous amount of damage and great combo potential and can lead to a lvl 3 easily).
5. Again, you are greatly underestimating this guy. Seth for some reason said greatest assist in the game and calls him a beast. He see's the potential this guy has when put into the right hands and so do I. If im wrong, great. If im right, look out.
Nick is great in turnabout mode; that is already seen. But that means you'll be playing your team like a Vanilla Phoenix team because you want that turnabout mode, x-factor (lvl 2 or 3), and the threat of his insane level 3.
In theory, that's the kind of character you want as an anchor. But is Nick truly an anchor? Would you want Nick to be your last hope on a team? If he's the last person on your team alive, and turnabout mode is done, you'll have to do some fancy footwork to get back to turnabout mode with no assists.
I think a lot of people will try to get turnabout mode early with Nick while they still have assists and then tag him into the third spot, but snapping Nick back in would be the solution to this strategy because it will eat up his turnabout mode time. Also, Nick can chip out with his evidence with x-factor on but the opponent will have x-factor too, right? (depending on the situation of course).
I like someone stated previously, I also can't wait to see how people will utilize this glass cannon of a character. I'm not hating on Nick or anything of the sort, I'm a bit worried about his role on a team and how he'll fit onto a team. I hope people find ways to put him on their team and be effective though. Man, I can't wait for this game to come out. One more week!
play wright on point strange second and then a good assist as third. Gather evidence go to 2nd mode play strange and get meter. do a ground combo with crumple attack quick switch to phoenix the objection while they are in crumple state instant combo death
Are you guys kidding. HAve you seen Wrights keep away with his evidence. every blocked projectile is meter until you catch them in that one mistake, then BOOM! lvl 3. Rinse and repeat. Chip damage alone with keep away assists makes this guy pretty high tier for this game. Goodbye rushdown marvel.
@31 dante isnt really brain dead what game have you been playing no random scrub is gonna do a 600k combo with him like wolverine,also phoenix wright will be like top 5 if not top 3 he is a crazy beast I recall something like this before mvc3 came out people was like phoenix has no health just snap her in and kill her easy,and she dies fast
@53: Dante in generel shouldn’t be braindead and isn’t on pro level, of course. But Dante online sure is. Teleport -> Special, if it misses, rinse and repeat – if it hits, do basic combo into jackpot. Never seen any Dante doing anything else.
@ 11
you are confused with TvC Frank west, in that game his assist is the photo.
@58
Luckily, most people who do Air Trick into his Air S over and over again are very predictable and easy to punish. The problem is when they're predictable but also know to cancel into The Hammer, which you pretty much have no choice but to block with some characters. Maybe you can air throw him, but that's not always an incredible option.
Looks like it will be time to try and get some practice in for these fighting games... It has been awhile.
And first... Not like it matters.
