Why does Rocket's comic book drawn character look so much more different and less...awesome than the in-game model? Either way, both characters have some nice colors. I actually more colors become available as DLC later down the line.

Rocket Raccoon is an old character and his older comic book appearances have the appropriate look. His more recent, and more known, comic book appearances have a much slicker and modern look.
Atleast these arent all black like most of the other alt colors.

The Camo color description completely spoiled "Annihilators Earthfall" issue #3, which doesn't come out for another 3 weeks. It would have been nice to get surprised by seeing all the "collectible" Rocket Raccoon variants fighting the real thing. That's what I get for actually reading his stories & being an MVC3 fan, I suppose.
I like Camo Rocket the most... reminds me of Big Boss with his camo outfits.

At least mine reference characters from Dead Rising instead of being random generic crap. Only the Chuck recolor is any good.

I'm really surprised and a little saddened. They didn't give Rocky his green ranger outfit from the three issue miniseries where he first got his major start. That's, by far, the most iconic outfit he has, I think. Very characteristic of the period and 'space hero' genre.
Still, these aren't BAD colors, I'm just a little underwhelmed :)
@16 Well, I'd still prefer some actual references instead of random recolors even if I hadn't made these things.
Plus, I'm really never too happy with my creations when compared to other people's. So no, I don't prefer them just because I made them. One of the reasons I was really hoping to see them was because if Capcom had made any costume with the same color scheme, theirs would be of higher quality.
But nope, random crap is what we get. Except for the cool Chuck outfit.

I really hope they make Frank's cyborg/terminator costume from DR:OTR, DLC in this game.
2Back in March, we were finalizing our alternate color schemes for this me and hitting a bit of a roadblock when it came to Rocket" - Just remember Vannlia came out in febuary. A month later they were planning ultimate.

I'm annoyed as hell though because one of the Gamespot costume blogs doesn't work anymore. Week 5, with She-Hulk and Trish. Jen's costumes got reposted in the Marvel blog, but now we can't see Trish's. Ugh.
