A few new details concerning Phoenix Wright and Frank West in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 were posted by Seth Killian on Twitter today. Here's a run down.

Seth Killian: Turnabout Phoenix Wright has best assist ever, best normal, best Level 3. One week til beast is unleashed...

Frank West gets very scary at higher levels, and there are some dirty tricks for leveling him up VERY fast with the right teammates.

It's all about PRESSING DAT WITNESS. Well, in Turnabout anyway. Otherwise I <3 Missile.

Also, for those of you who have no clue about Nemesis, Capcom-Unity put up another story which details his background information and has a few videos as well, to get you more up to speed with this fighter. Here's a snip.

That’s your first introduction to the hulking, unyielding mass that is Nemesis. Ever since his first imposing steps in Resident Evil 3, this towering foe has become one of the most beloved (or is it feared?) villains in all of gaming – IGN placed him in its “Top 100 Videogame Villains” feature, among other awards from around the webternets. All these accolades mean Nemesis is a hardened fighter and thus a perfect fit for Ultimate MvC3, and today we’re gonna brush up on his bloody history…

Without diving too deep into the dense, untamed brush of the Resident Evil canon, Nemesis is essentially a Tyrant (the final boss of the first RE) that has been infected with a deadly parasite. Typically, said parasite kills the host within minutes, but in this case, when combined with a Tyrant, the Nemesis T-Type was produced. Soon after his creation, he gained the added descriptor, “The Pursuer.”

One of Nemesis' supers is super invincible right?

Does that mean he can activate it to become immune to Phoenix Wright's Lv3?

@cyn no because Phoenix Wright's level 3 is 0 frame and I think his super armour wouldn't kick in fast enough

If you haven't, try playing the game. At least try beating the first case (it takes like 30 minutes if you're a complete derp face). You'll have a much greater appreciation for the character. (I couldn't even concentrate when the first time I heard the cornered theme.)

Can't wait to use him. It's also ironic that the first game he actually talks (Voice actor besides the OBJECTION, HOLD IT, and TAKE THAT!) isn't a game about him.

@5 I would think nemesis would go through it, if that was the case. However that seems like something that needs to be tested. I would think if a PW player saw that super thrown out randomly though, they would naturally wait it out then punish with the lvl 3 anyways.

I'm pretty sure super armor can't escape cinematic/capture type hypers. That'd be really broken.

And if that WAS the case, then Wright would have no reason to level 3, way I see it.

I'm curious about the "press the witness" assist in turnabout mode now... I wonder if it's got some crazy invincibility on it... Hope not.. I'm hoping the days of abusing cheap assists is long passed... but I'm sure someone's got a broken one in there somewhere :/

PW will be nerfed. PLAY HIM UNTIL HE GETS HIT WITH THE NERF STICK.

The main thing he has no mix-up potential to open people up easily.

@10 i agree with 9 i think that he's going to get a nurf, you claim that "If you can manage to get into Turnabout Mode, you DESERVE the buffs that he gets." but the thing to that is getting evidence is super easy, and if you get a random hit confirm you can just cancel into Turnabout mode, and on top of that his lv3 does way,way to much damage. and now you might say well vergil does the same amount, and i will reply with yes, yes he does but he has to waste 4 meter, in summery PW is broke and is most likely gonna get a nurf after people complain about lv.3 x-fac PW

@10 yeah those teleporting characters are really gonna throw a wrench in PW's game plan if... He'd be insane in vanilla just call in tron or haggar assist and you would have been be golden plus maya's shield? Turnabout mode would almost be guaranteed lol. But! this is Ultimate and no signs of a cheap assist yet, so until one is discovered, getting into Turnabout mode will be no easy task.

#15 Watch Maximillian's Marvel Mdness part 2. Iron Fist's Dragon Fang assist is a near instant far reaching wallbouncing mov. That assist is going to be golden for any zoner.

Uh... Wonder how long it takes for him to get nerfed cuz everyone will whine. I have had a ridiculous amount of trouble with Phoenix in vanilla and I never wanted her nerfed or that bad cuz I'm not a nerf kinda guy buffs I'm cool with

you people are retarded. anybody actually notice how bad his dash is? no great way of getting in. you need to land an objection which is VERY hard to combo without proper assist or xfactor. turnabout mode is good. but not good enough too be nerfed. were talking super jump until it runs out people. where as phoenix can tk shot the hell outta you and nothing you can do will help. haters gunna hate ALWAYS

And people say that El Fuerte's Ultra 2 in Super was too much.
At least El Fuerte was already bad so that nerf was unnecessary.
PW has easy tools to get that insta-kill.

Not sure why everyone wants Nick to be nerfed so badly. Like most of you have already pointed out, he's free to teleports/mix ups as it is, and it's not like he starts out in Turnabout or anything. If you guys can't rush him down well enough and you allow him to transform to beast mode then that's your own inconvenience. I'll have a blast finding you all guilty.

Devs tried removing retarded stuff, no matter how bad your character was in the rankings.

That's why stuff like Fuerte's stupid U2 or Gouken backthrow into U1 were nerfed.

the dude has a slow overhead, no command throw, no air dash, no hyper armor, and an awful ground dash. If you get opened up by that you have worse problems than PW. Truth be told if you get hit by an XFC through block stun or DHC'd say goodnight, but I can say that about basically any character with a bread and butter to level 3.

Phoenix Wright is not going to be tops. Zero, Magneto, and Doom can get in from the start and do loops into their level 3 hypers. Doom's hyper even does 473,000 now that it is mashable.

I actually went and played the first Phoenix Wright a day before his trailer was released, it did give me a greater appreciation for the character.

Lol been watching Norcal vs Capcom stream... Phoenix Wright is not gonna be as easy as everyone thinks. Out of all the matches I've seen so far only one person got him in turnabout mode and then lost shortly after lol. I think one of the best teams for Phoenix Wright would be...... PW on point with press the witness assist, Doctor Strange with Eye of Agamato assist and Doctor Doom Hidden Missiles assist or opt out with Iron Fist and his crazy Kick assist. You will still have problems with teleporting characters regardless though (:

@28 Rocket Raccon's trap assist might be just what PW needs too.

It's still early. I like PW and all but im also interested in other characters. Dat Strange and Iron Fist.
