Oh Super Skrull... I missed it when you said "He loves you.."
Although Max said he wouldn't include hypers that aren't mashable, at ~5:06, Dormammu's chaotic flame doesn't seem mashable.
It seems to do 338,300 points of damage at 60 hits with or without mashing.
I wonder if it really isn't mashable, or if he just made a mistake and didn't mash the second time for some reason.
Who is going to buy a new controller/buttons with turbo just to prevent fatigue on yourself and wear and tear on the controller/buttons?
You know what would get me not to play a character?
1 frame links
or a ton of mashing.
I might hate this shi* more than I do TAC's and x-factor lmao.
I can't possibly imagine mashable hypers being fan requested..Its like one of the worse possible things you could add to the game. I dont wanna break my controller every super..not to mention it does like double DMG if you dont..
W/e. And yes I know, Ive played MVC2 and other games having mashable hypers, I dont like it.
I main Dormammu.
I use chaotic flame a lot.
Phuck.
Heh. I survived all the MGS tortures and play Kingdom Hearts. Mashing will be no problem! =P
Good God, mashing is gonna blow since I play on pad.... I'm not even sure how you're suppose to do it on pad. Oh well, I'm sure I'll figure out a method eventually.
Wait.. I just remembered I've been play Batman Arkham City for the past two weeks... Nevermind, I will be the king of mashing on pad!
@21 I've thought about that too. I'm really hoping that works actually. It seems like that would be too easy though for some reason lol.
Seems to add about 46,47,000 damage per max mash. Not bad.
This is a pretty sneaky trick by Capcom to force us to buy new sticks after we beat our buttons in even more.
For all you noobs mashing is not new it was in the older games and it is not that big of a deal!!! If yer gonna complain then let it be about air x-factor!!!
@12,17,21,23
Haggar had a mash-able hyper in vanilla. You had to break your controller to get the 3rd degree of damage, which is the highest. 1st degree is not mashed, 2nd is mashed but not at full damage, and 3rd is full damage mashing. I play on pad so doing the trigger button trick where it counts as all 3 buttons didn't work. when you push any buttons at the same time it counts as one button. So if it stays the same, prepare for either hurt hands or broken controllers.
@26
This is Marvel side first.
I resisted the urge to use turbo with Gen in SF4, but this time around may be different...
@12 I wasn't requesting any mashing anywhere on the interwebs, but as a long time MvC2 player, it just seemed odd to completely remove mashing. It was a solid part of the game and mashing out supers for to kill that last bit of your opponents health, always felt so good. TAC's and x-factor are way more annoying to me, as mashing doesn't really change much.
ya know the thing i dont like about this new mashing is that in the older vs games you could actually tell it did extra damage. In this one you can barely tell. I also dont like how they didnt add extra animations or make the super seem longer to know that you are in mash mode like again the old vs games did. Rant over
Damn it, this retarded bs mechanic will see an increase in numbers of Turbo users for sure.
In the older games, everybody mashes at the local arcade, which nobody cares because it was kind of fun and it wasn't your own stick.
But now, with theses $150+ sticks, I'm worried for my stick. Plus mashing makes you look like a retard... You're suppose to look cool when playing fighting games, not like mashing retard... arrghhh..
Mashable level 3's are CHEAP!!!!! Oh well at least my captain america is gonna get that extra damage he deserves.
On an average mashing adds about 50,000 extra dmg, not like double damage.
Don't people lag when they take those lame azz turbo controllers online? anyway no mashing for Phoenix
That was actually the first time I saw that Modok hyper.
Also, I won’t mash. The damage increase isn’t worth tiring my hand out, it’s only really noticable during Level 3 hypers, for which I might make an exception.
him using turbo sounds like it's gonna be like hulk's throw where you really need to mash it
Bah, mashing.
Remember in SFA3 where you could mash to reduce damage? lol
I only liked mashiable throws like in the SF2 days, or Hundred Hand Slap and Lighting Legs.
Super Skrull "Does'nt Love You no more!"
Mashable hypers are subject to damage scaling so the differences in some combos are severe. Only Level 3 mashables are not subjected to this.
Word of advice to Max if he's reading. Make sure for the onces tha spread to ue charactes that are tall like Sentenel and get up close in the corner, Taskmaster's hyper is less effective from a distance.
Ooh nice my whole team got mashable hypers. She-Hulk, Akuma and Wesker. Can't be salty about extra damage.
Why do I have a feeling MadCatz teamed up with Capcom on this about the mashable hypers lol (jK, well sort of). I remember playing MVC2 and the amount of controllers and joysticks it destroyed just from the mashable crap. Plus its more like pressing buttons really fast than really mashing unless you have used X-Factor. You simply can mash harder if X-Factor has been used without fear of it coming out and messing up stuff. I really don't like this in UMVC 3 just seems like they want us to break my joysticks and controllers.
It's not the fact that mashing is the problem, the problem I'm having is what do I do when my casual gamer friends come over to play? I'm kind of getting paranoid that they might break my custom joysticks. I think everyone here knows when you have somewhat of newbies playing with your equipment we can expect something disastrous to happen. Like no one mashes harder than a newbie, not even pro gamers lol. It's like they are already trying to mash out moves and now the game is telling them to mash they are only going to mash harder.
Blah blah blah... B*tch B*tch B*tch B*tch B*tch... "Oh I'm gonna break my controller!" "Oh I'm gonna break my stick!" It's called MAKE A FREAKING TRIPLE BUTTON! It's not that hard! Jesus people!
Yes! Maximilian!
