I would think Blanka would have been a better model, since his spinning ball move is something Sonic probably would do.

cool, but I feel like there is some missed opportunity here. Why not Blanka? since you know, Sonic Spins, not do martial arts...

All the people thinking Blanka, I don't disagree with you but this worked very well for Yang. Yang a zippy moves. Sonic works for him, especially the U1 animation and command dash.

I think Werehog would suit Blanka's moveset more...

Yeah I understand the dash but Blanka would have been a better model just because of the roll, thats what makes sonic, you know, sonic.

Sonic does'nt beat his enemies using dive kicks and kung fu.

Hahaha, that is sooo funny! I really think Sonic fits Yang more than he does Blanka since Blanka has this hunched posture when he stands and walks and is generally slow moving.

The Skin probably wouldn't fit the Blanka model. He'd be too big I'd assume.

And the Yang voice fits Sonic.

Pretty awesome. It's not canon, but Sonic did have a dive kick in Brawl too, so I think Yang's moveset isn't a bad fit at all, with the command dash, dive kick, and the small roll he does into his kicks. Although I could totally see Blanka too.

@ 21 and 26, that's exactly what I was going to say and sonic
is known for his speed not rolling that why the original game had him only running, the devs must have thought rolling would make him faster so they added it in the 2nd sonic game.

I feel this works out just fine since Sonic knows Martial Arts anyway. Not too mention just basing the though of it being Blanka because of the spin should not be enough...

the sonic model is basically proportioned like a stick figure, so it isn't very surprising that it would work well with the animations.

These guys are pretty good at mixing up move lists, so I wouldn't be surprised if they do a revised version later on with the inclusion of a few Blanka moves.

I thought Oni was made to be Sonic. He looks like Sonic the most in the cast color-wise.
