Tip from Rafael2487.
@#5 lol im pretty sure he thought that justin was the strongest foreign player. he asked who are the best foreign player and the 1st person on his mind was justin wong. the interviewer face turned salty and tried to have fuudo say that alioune was good as well. sh*t is too funny.
Yes it was Latif. Proves Poongko is the guy to beat nowadays! xD
And wow the guy was salty when it was an instant "Justin Wong".
@10
WHAT!?? lol besides WOLFKRONE? dude i know tons of American players who can go on par with WOLFKRONE and even beat him. Latif is known to be better then him and hes barely the best "American" player. plus you said it your self..."Alioune is by far the best European player."
BY FAR THE BEST EU PLAYER! meaning without Alioune EU is free lol.
Except Latif is not american. He's an Arab. Doesn't even have American nationality.
But yes. The entire EU is free to US and JPN. That's obvious. With the exception of having that awesome Honda, Coungster.
Europe is free against most of the american/player...
BUT the five best players in europe are very strong. Far better than the average level. That' s not because they can' t go at all the american tournament that they' re free. That' s just because it' s not easy to see them in a competition.
fuudo was beaten by a french player (renegade) on vanilla. Cuongster beat RF in tournament last year and did tougeki on GGXX before SSF4. Loufy is an amazing player and has beaten japanese progamer. But alioune is by far the best player of this part of the world.
And please, saying latif is an american player is so easy but not true at all.
@19 he's an american player because he's only played SSF4 in the USA. he reped usa for sbo for guilty gear. i dont understand why he isnt an american player if he been playin in the american scene more than in his almost non existent home country community. u can say he's not american but he played ssf4 in america not saudi arabia. his gameplay is based on what he practiced in the USA. His viper so american its not even funny lol.
A quick look at the amount of japs/americans the EU guys knocked out of singles should tell you they're not free
Problem X beat momochi and knocked out justin wong
Coungster beat kindevu, ricky etc
Ryan Hart beat ricky, then got knocked out going 2-1 versus both Kazunoko and Momochi, no shame in that for anyone
It'd be pretty stupid to honestly think any of those players are "free", especially as by your standards it'd mean everyone from the US bar wolfkrone would be even more free but OBVIOUSLY they're not so get a grip
Anyway i think its clear fuudo didnt put too much thought into who he thought was the best internationally, as anyone will tell you justin while certainly the biggest name, isnt anywhere near the best anymore - gotta be krone after his performance last night
@20
Air played in japan and did tons of tournament there. But still he' s canadian. Nobody said is japanese. What is the difference for you?
If latif didn' t make it to the top 16 nobody said or care about is nationality but obviously because of his result he is for everybody an american and not a foreign student. Maybe because the next american after him in the EVO ranking was 7th?
I hope the tournaments outside US can have "EVO points" for the next EVO just to see what kind of result we will have at the end of the pools.
It' s very funny to hear bunch of people saying they' re US and japan and the rest of the world is free. Maybe because they' re not taking any risk in traveling outside us (appart marn and justing wong sometimes)?
A lot of people thought there was japanese players and the rest of the world behind them. And a lot of players from various countries has some results against them. What is the difference for USA players?
Captain's Log 895: Nothing's changed. Europe and Canada still free.
@26
I would say the whole world hated the US...
Anyways! I would say that the top level US are better than EU by far but when it comes to the best players of each, I believe it is more even. To say Justin is the best now is probably just cause he was most familiar with him and he's history. Justin hasn't been the best in America for a while, that title belongs to Krone or Latif if you count him as an American. Krone has been bodying people ever since he became famous in the fighting game community and is always up there in tournaments and by far the most consistent American player so I would say he was the best American player.
someone transcribe, i cant watch at work
