Twitch.tv's Jared Rea will be a guest on today's episode of !@#$ Slasher. They will discuss the Canada Cup 2011 stream which has had a lot of people in the community talking — and what, if anything, will be done about it on Twitch.tv's side.
I only caught the last matches of 5 vs 5 (USA Vs JAPAN) and the stream was pretty good only thing was ad every second of the video and with those many ad's you would think their sponsored enough but oh well... I have no complaints I didn't pay and never will I
I LOST MY VIRGINITY AT 8,95TH STREET FOR ONLY 8.95 AT APPROXIMATELY 8:95 PM
I don't know why people are complaining. I didn't pay for this and I only got ads during the button checks/waits between players. I don't have a ad blocker either, also the only ads I saw was twitch tv advertising for their own website. Maybe I'm from Canada but I had no problem with the stream what so ever during the whole weekend. Didn't miss any moment, I even saw the finish of the 5v5 tournament.
I understand if people who paid for it and this happened but for people who didn't, let me remind you. It was FREE, get over it! If you feel this strongly about, how about you plan a major and stream it too! We'll see how good the stream is than!
@iFcuk
If thats how it happened for you, then great. Me? I got an ad during the climax of nearly EVERY hype match. I didnt get to see Joz get knocked out in the teams tournament. I didn't get to see the end of the grand finals of the singles tournament. Every time things were getting good, I would get an ad. Like they were placing them so next tournament I would pay the money to avoid that happening.
I'm okay with the basic concept of getting "extra features" and quality with a few bucks to keep them able to actually stream. We're getting to a point where our beloved genre get's more and more attention. People like Spookey and commentators like Chen and Ultra David doing this mostly with no payment, a thing we are all be thankful for, but nothing we can take to be granted forever.
At some point they NEED to get at least a small compensation for their WORK (yes it's fun, but it's still "work"). That said, while the concept is okay, the technical execution at canada cup was horrendously. You payed to get ~480p at best and still had to endure commercials by twitch.tv itself every now and then.
It's okay to need to restart the stream, having technical difficulties here and there, but this was THROUGHOUT the WHOLE WEEKEND, and got even WORSE between days, where you should have plenty of time to get everything back working.
On a side note: 8.95$ is a little to high for my taste. 5$ sounds reasonable to me for a 2-day-long stream. 7.50$ for a 3-day one. If the event worths it (evo, seasons beating, canada cup due to team tournament etc), I'm willingly to pay for commercial free, 720p stream to people like spookey (which is another way of donating, but you actually get something for it, even tho it was kind of "taken" from you beforehand).
I payed for it but cancled it after a few hours when the quality droped below an acceptable point along with those twicht.tv commercials, that gave me a "I wasted my money" feeling.
For the future:
-a bit cheaper
-ENSURE that HD can be delivered even with thousands of viewers or don't offer it at all.
-commercial free should mean NO COMMERCIALS AT ALL (with the exception of tournament trailers, ultra david's thingy or something like that^^)
@Loffter
"Like they were placing them so next tournament I would pay the money to avoid that happening."
You can't say that because I am 100% sure there were viewers like me who didn't get ads placement like others viewers. So of course they didn't do it on purpose (Maybe they just love Canadian more?). Also You could hear at the end of the stream that Chen and David totally didn't know about it.
@"I got ads during matcheS"
that happened because you were "behind" the actual stream (happens when you have a disconnect, stream restarts and you don't refresh, you have lag [on YOUR end] etc), beacuse the "ads" are NOT delayed. while match ab vs bc is actual over on the real time stream, you get your ad on your 30 seconds behind stream during a match.
I don't get why nobody just got Adblock. I got barely any ads. Like 1 every 2 hours or so, and I didn't pay anything.
@7
A lot of Europeans were very, very excited for the tourney, but many didn't get the chance because we (well, they. I stayed up all night to watch it) didn't get a chance to see the archives without having to pay first, which is kinda... ridiculous.
The best part about #3's comment was the time being at 8:95P.M.
I didnt pay and i watched it fine, sure there was one or two ads which were annoying (one which cut during the 5vs5 and made me miss the end to a tight match) but what can i say but its free, so im ok to whatever i got.
The thing is people want this FG scene to take off, but no-one is willing to pay and expect like they deserve the highest quality for jacksquat. Either pay and get the full package or dont pay and shut up and accept whatever we get.
@IFck no one really complained until you posted your rants hahah was this your stream? People who complain about complaing before complaining even takes place are the real problems
can you imagine if sports players had to pay to play and the cameraman had a million dollar contract?
The bigger news coming out of CanadaCup would of been if Wolfkrone OCV'd all the ads. :p
@Temtt
Thank YOU for posting that up here! This article is exactly what I am feeling and is well written on behalf (if granted) of the FG community. Good stuff.
Lol at the new meme.
That stream made me love spooky over 9000x more. It made me so angry to watch those ads cutting in on the climax of the battles. It got so bad that I completely stopped watching it so it wouldn't ruin my experience when i rewatched it. So I go back to watch the stream from yesterday and guess what? Its $8.95 to watch it. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@ iFcuk:
First of all, I don't know if you watched the entire stream or just parts of it but you're so inaccurate it's not even funny. Commercials were ran in between EVERY MATCH in which I eventually got used to it. Towards the end of the tourney (during the 5v5), they have the nerve to play commercials during an exciting match, not once but multiple times about Captial One's sh***y credit card for college students.
Second, that thing about stream being free is not an argument because EVERY stream out there are free to watch (except a select few in Japan like SBO). Also, those same streams provide very limited commercial interruptions and best of all, they provide 360p quality without charging. Great example is Spooky. He does weekly Guard Crush streams using his own money. Look how well he does it. Yes, he asks for donations but he still does it well. CCG was greedy and they were testing the 8.95 deal. Guess what? EVERYONE felt the deal was a rip off. Hope they learn their lesson for the next Canada Cup assuming CCG is going to stream it themselves.
Getting REAL sick of all the idiots spouting this "omg it was free you have NO RIGHT to voice any complaints/opinions!" rubbish, get a grip
CC and Vesper will do better next time, wanna know why? complaints and criticism
The event itself was amazing but it was very obvious they hadn't quite got everything right on the prep side of things, there were some major fps issues (hardware or software, who knows but it was definitely a capture/encode problem) way too many ads, clearly an attempt to push more premium subscriptions; and of course the crazy chat mods banning people literally every 2-3 seconds - which of course made people more angry and spam more, smart move
I have no complaints about there being a premium option itself however, its great as long as the free option is sound - i'd wager smaller, higher quality monthlies probably take more money from donations though. Purely on the strength of the streams themselves being solid and the people running it being highly proactive in fixing any issues
If anything this will serve as a lesson for other events who attempt the free/premium model
I am not against the idea, as long as there's a free version which doesn't lag as crap or consists of more ads then actual gameplay.
The problem with the free streaming here was that... well, it was too good! I mean, where the hell were the ads?
I just ran into a couple Twitch.tv advs. Basically everytime Chen and Ultradavid where like "back in a while, ad time", the stream kept going for me.
Dunno if it's because of the plugins/extensions or something...
Gotta love all the 8.95 $ jokes lol.
not granted! that article that #19 posted is completely misguided in it's attempts to accurately understand the canada cup/pricing situation. calling lap chi and the canada cup crew 'larcenist' is bullsh1t! "dangling the top players like bait for your money" wtf? this guy is obviously trying to ride the childish anger roller coaster that is THIS situation.
First off, they got the players together cuz they had a competition that gathered the best players from multiple countries to face off in an olympic style team battle. Regardless of money, EVERYONE wants to see that. To say that it was intentionally to get your paper is stupid. Charging, free or alone in some dark room with no cameras, this match is what the community has always wanted
And to call these guys larcenist is just villainizing them with rhetoric. tea party much? These guys arent money hungry
fat cats, they are part of the community too just trying something new. i bet anyone that put a tourney of this magnitude together would want a little contribution for there efforts. Some of the premium aspects were overstated but you have to remember this is uncharted waters and much is to be learned. you didnt have to pay and most of you didnt so grow up. like i said b4 most of you complaining are
probably used to your parents paying bills and important sh1t so you dont understand yet that mommy and daddy actually have to pay for water, electricity and housing.
I get the whole premium thing, but why pay 8.95 for three days when maybe you can only watch it for two? I think maybe on the last day they should've dropped it down to 5. Maybe more people would've paid. Like I said earlier the whole add thing, I get it they need to have some source of income. I wanted to see the grand finals for the international 5 on 5, and I got to see it but because of the ads I missed the climax of it. Talk about getting Cockblocked. If the ads didn't ruin the hypest part of the match then they would be ok, also if they didn't run every other minute that would be nice to.
I didn't see any ads at all on the free stream. Maybe it was because I had ad block plus. The quality was fine. I wouldn't object to paying $9. It was a better value than going to see a movie or buying a happy meal. I didn't purchase the hd version so I don't know what the quality was like. The Paris Hilton video is proof that people will pay for poor quality video as long as they like the action.
Pools are free (stream gets blocked)
TOP 32 you pay $8.95
Fair?
The simple fact is, if you are going to charge for something that has ALWAYS been free in the FGC then you had better deliver a product that is so superior and innovative that people walk away saying "that was totally worth paying for, I'd do it again in a second". What we got here was worse in quality than almost any free major I can think of. Even if this had delivered the goods as promised, 720HD and no ads, they were simply charging for what Sp00ky has delivered for free.
EVO stream built hype and fans and was accessable to everyone. This was an obvious attempt to hypermonitize an event, not help the FGC. The communication was poor, the stream wasn't what was promised, the modding rediculous, and they are holding the full replays hostage from the overseas people who can't pay. I dont see how anyone can claim this event was community building and is a model for helping grow the FGC.
EVO will never be PPV cuz its the Finals! Super Bowl, NBA Finals and MLB Championship are free so naturally EVO will follow suit. Plus EVO has way better sponsors and attendance just doesnt compare.
And it has always been free cuz its never been this big! Growth=More Money. Some people dont seem to get that but they'll learn when spooky announces HIS premium services.
And you dont think Growth=More Money? THIS very site that you are posting on now has Ads galore and it never used to.
The More You Know!
any working adult here probably wouldn't mind paying but asking for 8.95 is too much... 4.99 is an impulse buy..
Yeah to all the spooky nuthuggers notice that he only streams 1 day out of the week and he is somehow making a LIVING off of that. Guard Crush sucks now, besides Chris Hu + Aquasilk commentary. And the majors he streams are below average and usually only have 1 or 2 foreign players along with a few big USA players.
In comparison Canada Cup had literally the best showing of all tournaments in America, even contending with EVO 2011. There was literally no matches on stream that I thought "who the hell is this guy and why is he on stream". That really stepped the bar up as far as tournaments go, showing that we don't have to wait for EVO every year for a REALLY HYPE tournament.
The only thing lagging was the stream itself. Which is nothing new in the FGC, none of the streams are on the level they should be. But this one was slightly worse. And considering the fact that they were selling the stream they should have stepped their game up. Stream quality, lag issues, no replays, cutting commentators off were all bad. They should figure out how to make their stream perfect and also think of some new ways to make 'premium stream' more premium.
"The simple fact is, if you are going to charge for something that has ALWAYS been free in the FGC then you had better deliver a product that is so superior and innovative that people walk away saying "that was totally worth paying for, I'd do it again in a second". No, spooky nor any tournament in US offer something like Canada cup. I don't know about you guys. I have no lag on 360P, atleast better than SB stream few weeks ago. All they need to do is to fix the ads in the middle of the matches. People who paid shouldn't getting any ads and should get 720P. they got Justin.tv people to do the stream for them. it looks like those people messed it up. fighting game community is full or troll and poor people. There is no way for them to break even in this tournament anyway.
What I see here is there are only 3 opinions.
1. Someone offer better streams and put 30k down to get all those jp players to American to counter Canada Cup. Otherwise, you guys have no option, but to watch it. haha
Do you guys really think spooky have money to get 10 jp players, 5 korean... to US?
2. Stop complaining and don't watch Canada Cup. I never watch something that i don't like. They won't make any money, so they can cancel this tournament or won't get any top players anymore.
3. you keep watching it, keep complaining about it. And let them keep improve the service overtime. Nothing is prefect, even team spooky offer lag stream all the time and ran ads in between matches.
Do Canada Cup messed it, yes. That's why they have to improve.
@Loffter: "If thats how it happened for you, then great. Me? I got an ad during the climax of nearly EVERY hype match. I didnt get to see Joz get knocked out in the teams tournament. Sorry to ruin your conspiracy theory, but that only happened to you because you didn't refresh. The ads were not placed during the matches.
You are going to blame the guy for not refreshing? Maybe if it was a common problem for streams, but this was the only major that had ads cutting off matches. And it happened to a lot of viewers. The other North American majors didn't even have the ridiculous volume of ads or attempt to charge money.
"No, spooky nor any tournament in US offer something like Canada cup."
You must be new to the FGC. Look up EVO. Sp00ky streamed it. Top players from all over the world including a few of the best ones who were noticably absent from CC, top commentating, top quality, top presentation and a low ad to content ratio. The only thing new here at CC was an extensive team tournament, poor stream quality, the worst stream mods of all time, no communication when the stream went down, a buttload of ads for the free stream, ads for the 'ad free' stream, oh ya...and a charge. Truly innovative!
@47 congratulations you are the biggest idiot of many on EventHubs. Tell me what other stream provider besides iplaywinner does more than 1 stream a week? Spooky streamed Evo, by his $?@&$@ self. And he was supposed to stream Canada cup and devestation but his equipment got taken. He also streamed just about every major on the east and Midwest last Evo tournament season and most recently Canada cup which had a lot of foreign players. But the players at the tournament have nothing to do with the stream provider so I don't know why you even mentioned that. Spooky is pretty much the only stream provider who leaves the state and country and his streams are always godlike. Stay free.
If anything, the CC stream has hurt all of the other streamers who do such a great job. Why? Because more people than ever before now have adblock because of what happened this weekend. This means the guys doing it for the sake of the community will see less ad revenue than before. On the other side, I did see a ton of people saying they were donating to Sp00ky at the next major. But in the end this only promoted adblocker which hurts all good streamers. There were almost as many links to adblocker as there were commercials.
You know Lap Chi should have taken all that money he used to fly players out and made it the pot. He would have gotten even better results in terms of player turn out.
EVO2k11's top 4 no-showed Canada Cup...interesting.
BTW where was Flash Metroid, Viscant and ComboFiend?
I am sickened by the insane amount of negativity thrown at the Canada Cup organisers and streamers. If the fighting game community still wonders why it's lagging behind other esports, it only has itself to blame for it. I keep hearing and reading that the Fighting game community is the best and whatever but I'm sorry to say, that is simply not true at all. In the past few years, whenever someone tried something new to try and push this community further into the limelight of esports, they get insulted and thrown into the mud for their efforts. Every single person who has been incapable of providing any form constructive criticism towards canada cup, or any other groundbreaking event for that matter; I'm talking about you.
I don't care what your experience was with the Canada Cup stream; whether you chose to pay for premium of not, whether you thought the pricing was good or not, whether you had ads in the middle of gameplay, got banned in the chat or felt cheated that you have been given the option to pay for viewing the event archives. If you can't channel your experience into some form of constructive arguments, then you're just being part of the problem, not the solution. It is so sad to see so many random people take a collective dump on the very persons who are giving so much of their own time and evergy into making this community grow and become what it should've been a long time ago. The good people at Canada Cup Gaming deserve our thanks and praise for putting their own time and money into organizing what is certainly the hypest tournament ever, outside of EVO.
We should be talking about Wolfkrone's magical run through the loser bracket of the AE Singles tournament, on his birthday nonetheless or about Jozhear's near OCV'ing of Team Europe 1 or Team USA's performance against Team Japan 1 not to mention Floe finally coming through in a clutch moment by being the only player to defeat Kazunoko in the team tournament. Better yet, we should be talking about the team tournament finals coming down to the last players, last game last round, Wolfkrone and Kindevu in a Viper mirror match with Kindevu defeating the Viper master after hearing James Chen commenting that Kindevu's Viper couldn't "hold a candle to Wolfkrone's Viper". This is what we should be talking about, 2 days after this amazing event.
But no... what does this community do? It takes a dump on everything and everyone associated with the event because the stream wasn't perfect, they hated the pricing format or because they didn't refresh their stream upon reset and got ads during gameplay.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion and has every right to express them but like I said, if you can't express your criticism in a constructive way, then you're being part of the problem. You're not helping at all. You are keeping this community from moving on forward. Say what you will but say it coherently and provide ideas and solutions to the problems you encountered.
And for the record, I paid for the premium stream because I wanted 720p and access to the event archives. I watched the team canada qualifiers on friday night, recorded the stream on saturday while I was away and watched the entire sunday stream. Although the stream was not perfect and the quality not optimal, it was pretty good regardless.
For example, let's take a closer look at the number of times that the stream was reset. On friday night, they were obviously making a lot of tests so this should not even count. That was bonus content and whatever problems that the stream encountered (it had many), I couldn't be bothered with it. That was a test run and it should be viewed as such. On saturday, there were a total of 8 resets on about 15 hours of streaming. That's roughly 2 hours of constant streaming for each reset. Also, the stream went about 7hrs 45 minutes uninterrupted in the last stretch. That's not a perfect stream but it's not a failure either. Finally, on sunday the stream had 4 resets and experienced a few instances of lag/hicups in between the resets. Once again, the last portion of the stream went on for 5hrs and 30 minutes unninterrupted. Again, this is not perfect and the bitrate for the 720p stream was steadily reduced throughout the weekend but it's still nowhere near the disaster the some people are making it to be.
Honestly, the only thing you could hold against Canada Cup Gaming, Vesper Arcade and Twitch.tv is that they failed to realize how much the hype they had created for this event had caught on and how many people would be watching the streams.
As for the price of the premium stream, I'm no expert on pricing but when you think about it, 9$ got you about 30+ hours of 720p content. That's a little over 25 cents an hour... That's a quarter for an hour of some of the best players on the planet duking it out or to put it differently, that's about 2 sets of USA vs Japan 2... for a quarter. I mean, however you look at it, it still sounds like a good deal to me and I don't regret paying for this one bit. Actually, I'm really glad that we're getting PPV events. This means higher production values all accross the board and that can only be a good thing in the long run.
I can easily picture, in a few years from now, a format similar to the ATP World Tour where you have a few major events (PPV) and many other smaller tournaments (free) during the year. That would be amazing and the only we can achieving something like this is if we use experiences like Canada Cup 2011 to learn from it and make sure the next event is even better. Only with forward thinking ideas and a positive attitude will this community be able to reach this. I know it can, I just hope it does sooner than later.
@ #58/59 silvergunn
I would be talking about the "amazing" event like you say we should, but I couldn't Fkn watch it, and I can't view the archive like I would be able to with Spooky.
Goodnight...
@ #60 Buttery_Scoop
I agree it sucks to have missed the event and not have access to a free archive. But isn't it better to have an option to pay to view the archives than no option at all, like EVO for example?
I had no problem with the $8.95 option. I think offering different "tiers" of streams and videos (Season's Beatings CC as an example) allows for higher quality products and events in general.
The timing of the free stream ads was awful. There were at least 5 huge moments of hype that were blocked out by an ad. They also kept constantly popping up DURING matches. This doesn't motivate people to buy the premium stream, it just motivates them to turn on adblock.
Paying for a stream archive seems like a reasonable idea, but the devil really is in the details here.
@58 59
WHATsUrPoint?
JTV rep said in the stream that it IS vesper arcades fault for
A) Pushing so many ads
B) Not getting the message to chat people to refresh
c) Not getting the real HD to the people that paid.
d) DAMAGING ANY OTHER FG Streamer FROM DOING SOMETHING LIKE THIS.
E) STARTING A HATEFUL NEW -8.95- TREND THAT WILL LAST LONGER THAN Ultimate MvC3
Spooky was right
CANADA SUCKS!!!
Canada did it wrong. No other way to put it. You can argue all you want but the truth is they showed way too many ads forcing people to either
1) pay 8.95 or
2) install adblock.
Nobody likes to be forced to pay, and nobody likes to see ads 20 times an hour. So you can guess what the majority of the viewers did. Not only did it backfire on Canada it now ruined the chance for other streamers to get ad revenue cause those who didn't have adblock now do.
So in order for the FGC to progress you as a fan have to speak up not accept the BS thrown at you and say oh well this is how it needs to be.
No........it doesn't.
When it's all said and done, the problem wasn't the subscription fee, it was the bombardment of advertisements that basically said $#$% you viewers, you're nothing but revenue to us.
You want that for the future of FGC streams? go right ahead and take it up the ass.
Or speak up and tell um how absolutely horrible it was.
I for one will speak up and say Canada Cup and Vesper Arcade can go $@#@ off cause they didn't deserve any ad revenue from me.
After getting 10 ads in 20 minutes I installed AdBlock but I will disable it for streams that deserve it.
I will never support greedy canadians trying to make a buck off other countries talents, cause obviously nobody cared to see canada all we wanted to see was US, korea, japan and europe.
If you had the mental capacity to pay 8.95 for that clusterf-ck of a stream Canada Cup, donate to Spooky and Levelup live for providing better overall stream quality weekly and archives FREE OF CHARGE.
HA HA, didnt pay a dime, stream ran fine and I hardly had to refresh at all. I missed maybe one match on saturday but meh I saw all that I wanted and was satisfied
@66 OMG GODLIKE. there were many suggestions on the stream for a t-shirt
Hey silvergunn, this thread is specifically on twitch.tv's response to the disaster that was this stream. You want to see talk about all the great play, go to the event thread further down. Of course you will have to wade through a lot of negative comments about the stream to see the gameplay comments, but that is because the quality of the stream, the lack of communication and the promises not delivered on detracted from what should have been a great experience for people. You act like the FGC likes to take a dump on everyone just for the fun of it but if you look at any other stream in history (that I can think of), you will find very little negativity from the viewers. There is a reason the response is overwhelmingly negative. Now if you want to see people talking about the great play I would invite you to find the right thread further down the archives.
@70 the only reason nobody has complained in the past(which im not even sure is true;this years SBO had alot of b1tching too) is cuz they were free. Now that the scene is jumping into the profitable market and has payment options for bonus material everyone starts crying. Why are they crying? Cuz they want to have their cake and eat it too.
"Hell yeah, a international 5v5 tourney with the best players around the world. I'm sooo stoked. oh yeah, and somebody needs to pay for it cuz i sure as hell am not going to. and it better have the best quality and no screw ups. gimme gimme gimme gimme"
Pay for a massive tourney like CC and have everyone trash you for having a payment OPTION and a bit of lag. I bet you wouldnt be so judging and foolish. Grow up cuz the scene is with or without you.
I wish tourney organizers would speak up about the inevitable transition into PPV majors so you trolls can STFU. but they wont cuz the children of the scene want everything perfect and free without contributing sh1t.
dear #71
you have no idea what jakelin is talking about or why nobody has complained in the past. sincerely: please think before you answer
dear #72
you obviously have no idea what is going on and i wouldnt be surprised if you breathe with your mouth open throughout the day.
the stated argument was that everything concerning streaming tourneys has always been flowers, candy and no problems.
the correction was that the streaming scene has always had its fair share of problems. (SBO charging and having a lagging stream, LevelUp dropping the grand finals at EVO 2010, etc.)
Now you're caught up. please stay with us.
Also, silvergunn's post was asking WHY nobody was talking about the tourney itself IN GENERAL, not in this specific thread.
Don't mean to be upset but i hate that these threads surrounding CC are like preschools.
Look jesus, no one is saying that PPV is not going to be something that is done in the future for huge events. You don't seem to be able to comprehend what is going on here. What people ARE saying is that this event did not deliver on their promises, and if you are going to be the first event in NA to charge, you had better be delivering a product that is so superior in quality that people walk away feeling like they got a good value for that money. The fact that we are moving towards PPV does not make what happened here acceptable. You act like everyone is a troll here but you don't even understand the basic arguement here.
This event DID NOT DELIVER what they said they would. They were not capable of it and they didn't even investigate it well enough in advance to FIND OUT that they couldn't do it. That is rediculous. It was so poorly handled that the head of twitch.tv is now considering implementing rules specifically so something like this doesn't happen again. You tout the big team tournament and yes it was cool, but there was a deeper talent pool at evo and that stream was awesome, had great presentation, was fery professional, had great ad to content radtio, was well run at good resolution for multiple times the number of people this was, and it was free.
Bringing up the few extreme situations doesn't help your arguement. SBO never intended for anyone outside Japan to purchase that stream. All of the instructions for payment were in japanese and most people, even with help of iplaywinner who had to graphically show you step by step what to do, couldn't get their credit cards through. And bringing up LevelUp at EVO, why yes, that was most unfortunate and what did they immediately do? Apologize profusely (for a free stream no less, remember they didn't owe us anything) and they immediately replayed the missed portion as soon as the stream was back up. What have we heard from CC? Nothing. Keep shouting about PPV eventually being the future. That is fine, I agree. That also has nothing to do with anything I said. I'd invite you to reread it a few times. It will make sense. I feel I've been pretty clear here.
And for your #74, I also have already stated that there are a lot of people talking about the tourney itself. It is just that this stream was such a disaster you have to pick your way through the stream critique's in order to read it. Notice that isn't the case with any other tournament streams. There is a reason for that. It isn't because people are preschoolers. It is because people voice their opinion when they pay for something promised and it isn't delivered. You apparently are the kind of person who when you pay for a hamburger and get a turd sandwich just eat it and say "thank you sir, can I have another". There are others of us here who would rather not. It is important for people who are thinking about doing this in the future to realize what they are getting into and plan carefully. These mistakes will help us get to that PPV promised land you seem so excited for, but only if they are noted, discussed and solutions found.
8,95th
I feel sorry for those ppl who payd and all.. teh stream quality was below avarege u know... =/
